I have a passion for cars. I was an automotive technician with ASC certifications for 7 years. I go…read moreto car shows. I go to the Auto Show every year. I bought my 2014 Cadillac CTS4 3.6L three years ago. I bought it at an auction through my dealer and it was still under manufacture warranty. At 35,000 miles it was pretty well worn. I have it under dealer care still at 78,000 miles. I have never had it detailed before. I have recently moved. And for most of its life with me, it was parked in an underground parking lot. I have a car wash monthly subscription. And until February of this year. The interior was regularly vacuumed. Other than that, I have never really had strong esthetic car care. I met Marvin through my lovely wife, less than a year ago. He is an awesome man. Full disclosure, he is like family to me now. He was among the few invited to my wedding this past July. All that being said. I want you to know that his detailing work is the best I have ever seen. I thought I was being biased myself. The next day I took my car to the gas station. Two people stopped me while I was pumping gas. One person said, "...this is the cleanest car I have ever seen." He then asked me for IDM Detail's phone number. The other guy owned a local body shop. The car attracted him to me. We started a conversation and now I might have a new Real Estate client out of it. I have fallen in love with my car again. Marvin, buffed and polished a shine in my car I have never seen. And the interior smells like a clean the factory needs to put in its new cars off the lot. I highly recommend IDM Detail. There is no one better.

He comes to you with a fully equipped van to detail the car and doesn't even need to use your water source. He was polite, courteous and professional. He spent over 3 hours detailing my car inside and out and it looks brand new now. I couldn't recommend him enough!

This is a review regarding my experience with ImagEffects Flooring and Carpet company. Prior to the…read moreinstallation, working with Steve (the owner) was great. The initial visit he was very friendly and personable. He even dropped off his carpet sample board for me to borrow to decide on what carpet to get for my upstairs and basement. My subfloor required both treatment and reinforcement. He sent a crew member to evaluate my subfloors, and he was very professional and friendly. We scheduled for the subfloors to be done and they did an excellent job. Then came time for the carpet installation. I scheduled for the installation to be done at noon since I was out of town. However he sent the crew members to my house two hours earlier than the time we agreed upon, and before I even landed. The crew did an amazing job installing the carpet. The carpets were gorgeous, and I was both excited and happy with the new carpet. However, the crew had removed and left my basement door off of the hinges. The crew member said that with the new carpet that the door couldn't be put back on and that it needs to be shaved. They also said they didn't have their shaver on them, meaning they were unprepared for this common situation, and were simply OK with my door being left unusable. I reached out to Steve to inform him about the situation. And he offered to arrange for someone to come back by to do the job at no hassle to me, and that he would follow up with me to schedule a visit. A couple of days after the install when I followed up with Steve about someone coming, a contractor was sent to my house during a time when I was at work and unavailable, after providing my window of availability for that day. I made multiple attempts to arrange for a visit to know avail and was only told "Let me check" with no follow ups. To this day, my basement door still sitting propped up against the wall where the crew member left it. Overall, the work done with the installation of the carpet is gorgeous. However, given the contractors leaving my door off the hinge, unshaved for the new carpet they installed, the lack of adherence to the agreed upon scheduled visits by sending workers at earlier times that were an inconvenience for me, the episodic correspondences, and the waning effort to reschedule to fix a problem created by the crew members, this has unfortunately soured my experience. Initially I was so happy with the work that I wanted to have them redo my hardwood floors. Now, I'm just disappointed in the handling of my doors post-installation. If this were handled and remedied in a timely manner, my only critique would have been limited to the scheduling discrepancy. But now, this has negatively effected my experience with ImagEffects overall. So the pros are pricing affordability, carpet quality, and professional installation. The cons are not arriving at agreed upon scheduled time, lack of preparedness and leaving behind unexpected problems, and inconsistent communication and follow through to address problems. Update: 10/31/25 They finally returned to shave my doors and put them back on the hinges. So now I can close and lock my doors. It wasn't discussed or disclosed in advance that this service is an additional cost. I wish I was informed in advance or the crew consulted with me before removing my door. But glad that this was resolved, and I'm happy with the carpet and restoration of my doors.

Stay away from this company at all costs! We needed a large window replaced in our home following a…read morehail damage claim with our insurance company. The estimates were coming in too high for the adjuster and he suggested having glass doctor come out and fix it instead of replacing it. Glass doctor said they could handle it, no problem and came to measure two separate days stating that the measurements obtained to provide an estimate were different from the second set of measurements. This was September. They came to install the glass on December 17th citing their need to source the grid pattern in the window as the reason for the extended wait. This wasn't true, they showed up with a piece of glass with no grid anyway. Not a life-changing problem but it wasn't great that it should have been done in the fall, not the dead of winter where the heat of the whole house gets sucked out a massive hole for hours. Turns out they measured incorrectly and tried everything to get the too big glass into the frame (including trying to alter the opening/frame) they got extremely, irrationally angry at us for their measuring error and the fact that they had to reinstall the old glass while they made a new piece. The work was rescheduled for Jan 12 and they showed up BIG MAD from the jump. It was absolutely insane- like we had any control over their mistakes. Whatever, window in, move on. As winter progressed, I felt that something was off with the window because you could feel the cold air. This isn't a window you can access without scaffolding so we had no way to check the seal or anything. I was also irritated that they didn't even bother to clean the glass after installation and damaged our paint on both the interior and exterior of the house. Fast Forward to May 2025. Lots of big storms and strong/sideways rain. Water was coming in through the window, pooling on the drywall ledge, cascading down the wall, and going under the floor. We immediately called glass doctor and were met with hard resistance and complete denial of any responsibility (This was the Friday before Memorial Day) and were told they were closing early that day, and couldn't come out to inspect it until the following Wednesday. We get a text on Tuesday saying that they were now planning to come that day instead. My husband had a work commitment and I had a doctor's appointment so he called and told them it would have to be Wednesday because it was now too late to adjust our schedules to accommodate their last-minute change. Guess who came anyway, without permission, grabbed a ladder, and was up against the side of our house caulking the window to cover his tracks. That's right, Nathan from Glass Doctor with his anger problems on full display (thank God for Ring cameras)! By the time my husband got off his work call, he was already 3/4 of the way around the window, speed-caulking to eliminate the evidence of the problem. He refused to have a reasonable conversation yelling "you're not going to pin this all on me"! He left in a fit of range refusing to provide his insurance information. There has been zero communication or response from Glass Doctor, Nathan, or Glass Doctor Corporate. Tried to find their MHIC info online and it looks like they might not even be registered! Their proposal does not list an MHIC number either (which is illegal based on my understanding). Let this be your warning, do not trust your home to these folks! Our brand new floors had to be pulled up to dry the subfloors and the drywall and insulation pulled out and will need to be replaced. At this point, not even a huge expensive repair for them to be dodging. This whole thing is crazy from start to finish!
