Ordered Jerry's for delivery. When order arrived I received a jumbo pepperoni and green olive and a pepperoni green olive sausage pizza, we ordered a jumbo pepperoni and a jumbo pepperoni green olive. Immediately called upon realizing the mistake, was asked to hold for a moment. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes in which time I could hear them talking about their mistake that they already knew had happened. The original person I spoke to said because the wrong pizza was already touched they could only offer credit for the next time I order because their policy is to take back an untouched pizza. This was not acceptable as this was their mistake. She immediately handed the phone to another person who was extremely rude from the get go. I requested that they take back both pizzas and deliver two fresh ones, they refused and stated I would not be getting a free pizza for their mistake. Ultimately they delivered the correct pizza and took the untouched one but the delivery driver was confused why the pizza was opened. This is not how you treat your customers. read more

We ordered Jerry's for delivery to the Dunes. I told them what time I wanted it to be delivered and they arrived exactly at that time! The pizza was amazing. So many toppings and a nice crispy crust. We just ordered food from Jerry's and to say the least we were disappointed. We were told that the pizza would be delivered within an hour, but it didn't come for an hour and 45 minutes. When the food came, the pizza was lukewarm. When we called, we had to practically beg the manager Mason to be compensated and he was not understanding. He eventually gave us $8 off our $60 purchase after we had to explain to him why this is an issue. As a worker in the food industry, I was very disappointed by this experience and the way that management handled this with its customers. read more

Jerrys's was a staple growing up. I wasn't able to make it back for a memorial service for a family friend but wanted to get them a Jerry's gift certificate so the family could enjoy some Jerry's while reminiscing. I called and asked if they had any electronic gift certificates to ensure it got there in time. I ended up talking w the owner Robin. I explained my situation and without hesitation, she said she'd be happy to drop off the gift certificate. Within 30 minutes of making the call, the gift certificate had been delivered. This time life on the road has led me to Sioux City, IA. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for dying rust belt midwestern cities so Sioux City had a certain appeal to me. But one unfortunate thing about dying towns, local eateries tend to be hard to come by and the only places to eat are franchises. Faced with the prospect of eating some salty greasy run of the mill slop from a place like Chili's or Applebee's, I was determined to find a joint of local fame or just go hungry. I was not in the mood for franchise stuff tonight. I thumbed through the phone book and came upon Jerrys Pizza. The book says the place is family owned and has been in business since 1959. I figured it was worth a shot. I went to the place on the intersection of Hamilton and 25th. It was a take out store although you could eat right there at one of the two tables. Menu was pretty simple, only pizza, about a dozen different toppings and four sizes. Pop sold by the can. I ordered a large half sausage and half pepperoni, which set me back fifteen bucks. I got the pizza and brought it back to the hotel room. This pizza was much much larger than most "large" pizza's I've seen. The crust was nice and crisp, good amount of cheese, nice spicy sauce and an abundance of meat. The pepperoni was bit salty but some would say it's supposed to be. A bit of grease but not obnoxiously greasy. For take out, I would go to Jerry's before I would go to one of the chains, good hot fresh pizza and at a reasonable price. They also deliver. This is my favorite place to eat pizza. Every time I come home to Sioux City I must get pizza from here, and a hot dog at Georges. There is no pizza like this anywhere on the planet! I wish there was then I could enjoy the best pizza closer to my home than five hours. The pizza has a crispy crust a great sauce and lots of yummy cheese. The topping are great! This is the only place in the world I will eat hamburger pizza since it is fresh hamburger not the crap they brown three days ago and throw on the pizza. I would suggest, Cheese, pepperoni, or the combo my mom and i eat which is hamburger, onion and black olive. I have know the family that owns Jerrys for ages, and they are wonderful, they are involved with Sioux City activities and are always supportive of a worthy cause. Even if it is not your favorite pizza remember the owners are local and great. read more

We were visiting family in Sioux City and they ordered this for dinner one night. Wow! It's so yummy. I don't think I've had a pizza quite like this one. The crust was very nice and crispy, and the kicker for me were the green olives. Such a unique flavor! I am now craving this pizza, but won't be back in Sioux for another year probably.. read more

One thing I'll say is that Jerry's probably has the best crust in town. Really nice, thin (but not crunchy) crust. The sauce is pretty blah, could definitely use a kick per my taste buds. They don't really have many topping options, which is a bummer, but their "everything" pizza is good (green olives, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green pepper, and onion). We got breadsticks with our order, and we might as well have bought some cheap supermarket breadsticks and baked them ourselves for what we got. I'm not sure why some folks just love Jerry's. It's pretty good, but with the other options in Sioux City I'm not sure I would eat here often. It's pretty spendy compared with the chains in town, and just isn't as good as El Fredo's. When we first moved here our awesome realtor (Adam Stokes from United Realty) had this pizza delivered for us after a long day of moving into our new house. It was really, really good, we loved it then and we loved it again tonight when we had it delivered! We ordered a Hawaiian, pepperoni and their version of the works (not sure what they call it). Anyway, they were all excellent. Lots of cheese and abundant toppings. Their crust is a little different, like almost bland, but it's totally ok cuz the toppings are so good. Sauce is good, a bit salty, but good. Again, I really think the toppings make the pizza, the mushrooms are of the canned variety, something I don't usually like but they work on this pizza. For real, if you ever eat Jerry's or El Fredo's u will never eat Domino's or (gasp) Pizza Hut again! read more

The delivery driver arrived quickly, before the '45-50' minutes quoted.. The pizza is true large size, which means it will still be around tomorrow...ugh. Overall impression is the place takes a cheese pizza (uncooked) out of the freezer and adds the toppings ordered, without finishing with shaved cheese to give it that bubbly cheese look. If U order 2 diff toppings the one laid on first 'sticks', the other rolls off during consumption.Toppings and sauce (thinned tomato paste...without seasoning or flavor) cover every inch of the crust was a plus..but, the ONLY plus. I called to order a pizza and was mid order and the lady taking my order hung up on me. I called back thinking it might be a miscommunication and she did not answer. I used my roommates phone where they lady answered and heard it was me and was very rude. She told us our pizza would arrive in AN HOUR when we are just down the street a ways. Pizza Problems: The toppings, while plentiful, become desiccated during the cooking process leaving nubs of vegetable leather piled high on the earwax of pizza sauces and the flour dusted cardboard crust. When one lifts a slice, the toppings fall off leaving you with just the few that were in contact with the cheese and a sour taste in your mouth. I'm born and raised here and used to love Jerry's.. but lately they have been messing up so bad that it's disgusting.. we always tip.. were great customers we even tip when there taking an hour and a half and longer to get here but lately the food has tasted terrible.. we asked for extra cheese and didn't get it. There was like no sauce.. and the cheese was old cheese that was re heated and sold as new..There was soggy spots in the pizza that made us not want to even eat it so it was thrown away after a couple pieces. Five months ago, I was recovering from surgery and we decided on pizza and I suggested Bob Roe's Northend Zone, Town House, or El Fredo's. The wife wanted Jerry's. My last several experiences with Jerry's were less than stellar, but I told her to go ahead and order. They said it would take 45 min. An hour and 15 min later the wife called and they said it should be at our door any time. Another 15/20 min later the pizza was delivered and it was cold. The wife called to complain and the person argued with her that it couldn't be cold. The cheese was no longer melted. My wife asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager was out making a delivery and they would call her back. No one has called. We have other options and I've told my wife we're not wasting money on Jerry's anymore. For $24 plus a tip we should have had it hot. read more

Until tonight we had been loyal Jerrys pizza customers for years. But after tonight I don't believe I will ever order another pizza again from there. I arrived 5 minutes before the quoted pick up time. Paid and sat down. After 10 minutes I checked back in to see how much longer. At that point they said they could not find it. Thought maybe it got sent out for delivery. They said they would make a new one. Takes 7 minutes. I waited then they said they found it in the back. Almost done. I waited some more. Finally 20 minutes after the quoted available time I received my pizza. I accepted it to be well done because it had supposedly cooked for 45 minutes, when it apparently only takes 7. It was not. I believed they did indeed lose my pizza, made a new one and lied about it. I asked for a discount or a coupon for a free pizza next time. The manager on duty said no. But I could have a few cans of pop. I don't think a 25¢ can of pop is worth waiting 45 minutes for a sub par pizza. read more
