They apologized for the time to get the car back to me, they had been backed up (due to the hot weather since it tends to kill cars). Friendly service, happy with the price which, it's always more than people expect or want it to be. Nothing is cheap these days so makes sense shops have been impacted by it. Good folks!

Recommend To Get A Second Opinion…read more What Went Well: Car went into the Shop with stalling issues. The stalling was accompanied by what felt like transmission not shifting correctly. When the car was towed into the shop the customer service I received was excellent. The Shop worker called me to inquire about the car and also gave me a deadline of when i would be hearing from them. The Associate was spot on about when i would hear from them as they called at the exact time and day they said they would and it was only a day wait since my vehicle went in on a Saturday and was towed in so there was a wait ahead of me already. All Code Readouts and issues were reported to me in a timely manner What Didn't Sit Well With Me: Upon Calling me the Office worker informed me the repairs would take roughly $4,500 to fix stating my car is in dire need of: Mass Airflow Sensor Transmission Obviously this is a lot of money however IF THIS WERE TRUE I WOULD HAVE HAD NO ISSUE PAYING FOR IT as the price wouldn't bother me to have my vehicle running like it should. After deciding to get a second opinion, I was told that the Sensor WOULD GREATLY IMPACT MY TRANSMISSION and its ability to shift correctly. a slip in the transmission would and could be dependent on that sensor. So, I started with process of elimination based on the codes i was given by the shop. I replaced the Mass Airflow Sensor ( $30 Part off Amazon) The car immediately sounded like it was supposed to and wasn't panting for air to stay in idle. The acceleration was back o 100% and felt no slipping of transmission at all. My problem with this is I was told I DEFINITIVELY needed a transmission and that fixing the MAF Sensor wouldn't attribute to the transmission acting the way it does. I recommend getting another opinion if you take your car here as i saved $4470 by getting one myself.... Not that this place was wrong on what was going on but I felt I was being sold a transmission when it is not needed. In todays times and financial needs that's bad business in my mind.

I don't know about you, but next to root canal, getting my car fixed, (especially my transmission)…read moreis at the bottom of my "most popular things to do list". Fortunately, when the time comes for auto repair and transmission work, Bill McComas is ready, willing and able to serve you with a smile. His crew will accurately diagnose your car's symptoms and recommend the best remedy at the lowest price. If you're having trouble with your car and may need a new transmission, do what you can do to get up to Marysville and meet Bill. I don't know anyone who does it better.

Terrible! Went there because it was the closest place to where I broke down. I asked for a trans…read morerebuild and they wouldn't do it. I ended up with a Transtar transmission (junk). Several months later after the new transmission, my transfer case FELL OUT at 70mph on the highway. That should NEVER happen if torqued to spec. After they "tried" to make it right, they bolted the same transfer case back up and called it good. I was questionable about them bolting up the same transfer case since it was their fault. Afterwards I was unable to engage 4wd because when the transfer case FELL OUT it bent the front drive shaft. When I took it back to Keith he said it was a wire wrapped around the driveshaft from when the transfer case FELL OUT that was causing my vibration. WRONG. Long story short.... several months later my transfer case cracked (imagine that after a 70mph impact on the highway) and his secretary called to say "Keith is taking care of it." TWO MONTHS after Keith was "taking care of it" I got my truck back. Only to find out Keith was NOT taking care of it. I showed up to pick up my truck with almost an $800 bill for PROBLEMS HIS SHOP CAUSED. I refused to pay because they quoted me at "Keith is taking care of it" and offered $100 for his labor at which point ATS released my truck to me. Stay clear of this place. No matter how much they try to do right, they do things wrong!!!!! Beware!!!!

If you are reading reviews on Brownies in Beavercreek....read mine! It's worth the read!…read more BUYER BEWARE!! I have checked reviews on this place not only on here but also other resources and I find it extremely odd how the owner tends to accuse a lot of his bad reviews as "fake" reviews from their competitors! Hopefully this review will hold some value to what happened to my husband and me. Please note: I am no stranger to giving a 5 star review, or even less stars if warranted. Please read my experience before wasting time with these jokers. We took my car over to brownies in Beavercreek to get some feedback on what our issue could be. We explained to the guy who did the "intake" what our main concerns were and that word of mouth opinions pointed us to get a check on the transmission. They had the car for about 24hrs and gave us a call. Me and my husband put the guy on speakerphone at the first call to us, and the first red flag was the first sentence out of his mouth "we found you a new transmission for 6200.00 but it's the last one and the dealership only has one left" um okay....where was the diagnosis explanation at in that sentence? Seemed quite pushy once we started to ask questions and the longer the conversation became, the more apparent this guy was acting as a salesman NOT a concerned mechanic. He made us a bit uncomfortable with not being able to answer our questions. We both began asking questions and aside from the pushiness of getting the sale, he didn't offer up a whole lot of "diagnosis" He did however, let us know that we are smarter than most customers bringing our beautiful car in and noticing the "shudder" that we noticed between 60-70mph and that they also noticed it too when they drove it. I asked about 3 different times if there was anymore to the "diagnosis" than them just simply driving the car, but little info was given up to us. He mentioned that a diagnostic test would show no readings for them because of a "shudder" but how strongly he recommends us getting ahead of this for only 6200$ out the door. Mind you, when we dropped the car off....it was said that they try to pass savings off to the customer by "rebuilding" transmissions NOT buying brand new ones from a dealership. Long story short, we got off the phone and told him we would let him know our decision. As soon as we got off the phone I told my husband I don't feel right about this company and let's just pick the car up. Upon our drive to their shop (about an hour) to pick up the car and come back home....this guy calls us TWO more times trying to make this sale. When we picked the car up there was a shop tech in the office area, who seemed out place to be there, and when we asked for the keys he simply nodded and dropped them in my husbands hands. No words spoken, no hi, no see ya later. Keys were in our hands and out the door we went. 20 mins later--guess who calls us? Our Brownies friend JOHN again! The same salesman (or whatever this guy named John was) and he calls us once more to see if we made our decision yet. We explain how the car has been picked up and at home. He stuttered nervously over his words, and said he was sorry he was at another Brownies working that day and not at the Beavercreek office. Say what??????? I thought we had a beautiful car John? I thought you had first hand experience driving our car and recommending we spend 6200.00 on a new transmission????? Lesson learned folks....these people are the type of car shop a lot of ppl warn you about. ONLY OUT FOR YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Oh and my real diagnosis with my car? I needed 3 spark plugs changed out. A total of 250.00 out the door at a different, HONEST mechanic who laughed at the business model Brownies in Beavercreek operates on. My car has acted brand new ever since. DO YOUR HOMEWORK WITH THESE PPL AND GET A SECOND OPINION EVERY TIME!!!!! This is the type of business that makes me lose faith in humanity. I'm not mad, just disheartened how many innocent wallets they have emptied on lies and fake diagnosis. Guess nothing is really for "free". Glad we were smarter than their pushy sales pitches in all those phone calls!
