I really, really wanted to like this shop -- but unfortunately I was left questioning the quality of their work after they skimped on my safety check and missed an obvious problem with my car. I brought my car in for a 40k checkup and oil change. They call the checkup a "safety check." Prices seemed very reasonable (I think it was just over $100 for the checkup and oil change). I'll admit I was also allured local small business vibe, which seemed awesome, and the other recent positive reviews. However, I was left wanting by the checkup, where they only pointed out that my tires were bald (I knew this going in and it was blatantly obvious), and mentioned nothing else. I guess I was looking for more of a -- "hey you're gonna need X in the future, or Y looks like it might be good to swap out now to avoid an expensive repair in the future." Fine, maybe everything really was OK and perfect? But no -- I knew going in that my rear reverse light was out, but this was not mentioned to me, nor was it a part of the checklist where "lights" were checked off as OK. Maybe a simple miss? But honestly, if I'm paying for a safety check, this seems like one of the easiest things NOT to miss -- and really puts into question the other supposed checks they did, and even the work the purport to have done. This business is incredibly honest and efficient! Something you rarely find in auto repair businesses these days. They seemed to have a full lot of repairs going on with a full staff of mechanics. The office was staffed by a very comforting receptionist who seemed to know everything about the repairs. The attendant guaranteed they would not sell me anything I did not need for my vehicles repairs. That was something they do not specialize in selling unnecessary parts. Requested service for a tire with a slow leak. Within 3 hours the tire was repaired and the screw causing the leak was taped to my bill to show me what caused the leak. I've been having issues with one of my tires this week. I had the tire filled with air on Tuesday, but noticed the pressure kept going down. I ended up bringing my car into Jerry's as a recommendation from a family friend. I am so glad that I did! I was able to get my tire repaired, and they even showed me the screw that had gotten stuck in the tire that was causing all the issues. The service here is great! They were able to get me in the same day before they closed (I stopped by in the morning) to repair a slow leak from a shallow nail in the rear tire. So glad we didn't have to buy a new $200 tire! This place is super convenient bc you can walk along Park Street if there is a wait for a longer service. They also installed a shield on our Tundra after the cat converter got stolen TWICE (crime sucks in the Bay Area!). But lucky for us, we have Jerry's! Thank you! read more

I called up Jerry's Tire and they said to bring it over and they will try and get it in. The cool thing is this place is near Park St, so you can leave it and find something to do. In the midst of moving, a divorce, and trying to keep my sanity together- one of my front tires started losing air. AAA came out and put a spare on, and then I called tire shop after tire shop trying to see if someone could patch my tire same day. Some places said they were slammed and couldn't do it until next week. Some places said I'd wait 90 minutes or so. Jerry's said come on by and we'll take care of you. I was planning to have to drop my car off and walk around while I waited, but they had my tire patched and ready to go in 20 minutes! If you get a flat tire, this is the place to go. Had to get my flat tire assessed today and Jerry's got it patched. Friendly and warm staff from my first cold call until when I went to pick it up after the service was completed. It was easy to just drop the car off and entertain myself until it was ready since they're one block from Park Street. All in all, if you want to support local businesses and pay a fair price, I recommend Jerry's Tire and Auto Center. They were able to fit me in on a busy Monday to have my tire repaired for $35 - I had a slow leak from a nail in the rear right tire of my model Y (was able to get by with filling up with air over the weekend). I dropped off my Mazda 3 for new brakes + brake fluid, as my oil change location told me I needed new ones. I dropped off my car at 8:30 and they told me they'd do a diagnosis to confirm and give me a call. My truck needed a new battery and battery cable, and after AAA jumped me I needed to bring it to a shop. I called four places and they couldn't fit me in last minute, which was understandable before the holidays.
