This cute place was right next to a dental office I was visiting and the aroma from their kitchen is what pulled me in and I'm glad it did. Such a unique and large space with seating on both sides (1 side is a coffee bar and the other is the kitchen). Their menu is so unique and they also have a "test kitchen" menu where they'll have creations from the kitchen that they make and if they're popular enough they make the big menu. Such a great concept. Their menu has so many delicious sounding items but I decided since it was my first time to try "staples" which was a sandwich and soup combo. The cheddar broccoli soup was spectacular! The flavor and heartiness won me over. I tried the pear and gouda panini as my 1/2 sandwich which was also quite tasty. Oh and my iced raspberry cheesecake cappuccino was my favorite! Soooooo dreamy. And the customer service was great too. The cashier was super patient with me as I took forever to review the menu and decide on what I wanted. I will definitely be back even though it isn't close to my home which says something. I chose this place for a late afternoon lunch because we were in the area and the reviews were good- I ordered the Turkey with Brie on panini. The panini was nice and crisp on the outside and the turkey with melted Brie was really good. However, I never heard the end of it from my family. One asks me why the floor is so sticky, another complains the ventilation is not good and our clothes will smell like food...Chicken tastes dry....don't like creamy soup....don't like balsamic sauce, blah blah blah. This place is great! They serve breakfast all day and still have sandwiches soup and salads. They probably have entrees too but I didn't focus on that part. Nice and clean restaurant and not crowded. That will probably change after I post this review. LOL The food is good. I went there with a friend and we just sat and talked because it wasn't like there. Was anybody waiting for another table. If that had been the case, we would've definitely left as soon as we were finished eating. We were able to sit there for a little bit and catch up with one another. The staff there were great. It is more of a casual restaurant where you go up to the register and order your meal. They did bring arm meals to us, but I don't know if that was just because it wasn't crowded. My favorite is the Turkey Brie Berry Mayo sandwich! It never hurts my tummy as one poster claimed. I have also attended many cooking classes with Kathy and can tell you the kitchen is always clean and products always stored properly. This is a great place to go with a group or just a couple. I'm back to update my review - it went uphill for a short time until every single time I ate here getting the turkey and Brie panini, without fail had stomach problems for hours after eating here. This happened going here months apart and every single time. My mother had the same experience when she ate here as well. My only thought is the mayo is left out all day. I'm talking really bad stomach pains and you can figure out the rest. It's such a shame because the turkey and Brie with the berry mayo is delicious but I've learned that I'll have to make my own. Once I began avoiding eating here when I wasn't going right home (where my own facilities are), I knew it was time to kick it to the curb. Also, the temperature in here is usually down right freezing all year round. The staff is friendly sometimes but not everyone and not over the top nice. It depends who is there that day. How sad it is that you own a coffee shop and crappy staff represents you. I showed up at 8:45, I'm sorry 15 mins earlier than opening time. I wanted to buy a coffee. I was turned down because it wasn't 9 yet. If I was in charge, I would have said, I can make you a coffee, give me a few minutes...in those two minutes, I could have looked at their menu, and order breakfast and lunch. But instead, I was turned away. I'm not sorry for crappy places like that, they deserve to have such staff. Went for a late lunch yesterday and, while our food was quite good I was quite surprised when I reviewed the bill. We ordered the Hot Shelby (as pictured on the table talker) but found it a little surprising to be billed extra for the fries. The bill said "over French fries" - how else would you eat this? It was, however, quite tasty. Next up, a Croissant de Printemps for which we were charged extra for a croissant? In fairness, the menu said "starts at $8.99'" but this charge is strange. My Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla was very good. They did not have any hummus so we substituted a salad. Overall, a bit of a disappointment but maybe it was just an off day. read more

This place is down the street from my partners house and I know it was on Triple D, so I decided to finally give it a try the other day and overall I wasn't impressed. To be ANY sort of breakfast joint in NJ I feel like there's generally speaking a higher standard than most, and the interior was cute and the staff was super friendly, but the food overall was mid at best, nothing wrong with it persay, but not worth the hype, especially where there are about 12 other breakfast places within a mile. read more

Wonderful late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived 1 hour before closing and never felt rushed. We ordered a breakfast item (egg sandwich), a salad item, and a grilled salmon entree with roasted peppers, served over rice. All three items were fabulous and plentiful. Definitely need to come here more often. Haven't been there in ages, but went today for lunch. I had the southwest bbq chicken salad. It is a nice size salad for the price. The chicken was so good and not overly sauced. Good amount of cucumbers and added avocado on the salad as well. Was so refreshing for such a hot day. My friend had the garlic parm tots and the kogi steak sandwich without the bread. The steak tasted like a french dip. It was very good. The garlic parm tots were good, just the consistency of the sauce reminded me of mayonnaise. So many other things would love to try. All the desserts looked yummy as well. read more

This update has been long overdue. I've been visiting JGC pretty much since it opened. The food has always been consistently good, and even seems to get better. Perhaps the item that is my own favorite is a dessert called the Hamilton square. This is the epitome of a rice crispy square. Dense and topped with thick layers of peanut butter and chocolate. It's been about 2 years since I've sampled one, but I'm happy to report they are just as good as ever. However, it was the a frame sign advertising taco tots that prompted this visit. I was nearby last week and saw it, filed it away and almost forgot about it. Before doing something stupid like getting fast food, I remembered the sign and decided a nice fresh made sandwich would go great with the tots. Along with the tots and squares I ordered the Crosswicks chicken sand, on a pretzel roll. This was a great choice, the dense bun was perfect to hold the juices of the thick slices of chicken and condiments. The smoked Gouda was the perfect cheese to round this handheld out. The tots were fresh and crispy and topped with the normal taco suspects, but the choice of meat was perfect, chorizo! I would definitely reorder either item again. But for my next visit I had the steak fries in mind. The chef/ owner is passionate about food and even sources local items when in season. There are always interesting monthly and weekly specials, some of which find their way into the standard menu. Catering and even special dinners are offered, I plan on trying one of those dinners once virus restrictions have been suspended. Customer service has always been friendly and prompt. This really is a gem in Hamilton, and it was great to see they are coping well with the Covid crisis. read more

Jersey Girl Cafe, made famous by Guy Fieri, is an adorable little place for breakfast or lunch. They serve breakfast platters, soup, and salads, but Jersey Girl is famous for its creative sandwiches. It was so difficult to decide between a breakfast or lunch sandwich. The Pear & Gouda (sweet ripe pears, smoke gouda, grilled onions, fig chutney) sounded so good. Since it was breakfast time, I went with the Beach Body Wrap (egg whites, spinach, turkey sausage, mango salsa, and greens. The wrap was huge and stuffed to the gills with egg and sausage. I loved the mango salsa and would have loved a little more of it. The eggs were pretty bland but it's difficult to make egg whites tasty. Husband and 15 year old enjoyed their Jersey Belly Buster Rolls. We found out what "pork roll" was and it was delicious. 14 year old ordered one of Guy's favorites, Kogi Steak, and loved it. Service was quick and friendly. The counter person patiently described the items we asked about and gave suggestions. On a holiday weekend, it was pretty dead when we were there but I hear it can get pretty busy. Would love to see a Jersey Girl Cafe in my neighborhood! read more

It's been a few years since I've been here and it was great. The woman taking my order was so welcoming and personable. Inside the cafe was nice. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. They seem to be updating the place. I got an iced cloud lattee with caramel, fruit cup and breakfast sandwich. The drink looked so nice and tasted great! The holiday fries get 5 stars. Incredible!! Not overly sweet, perfectly cooked. The sandwiches (delivery order) were all above average. The turkey in #36 was a bit dry around the edges but the flavor was great. The melted cheese in the sandwiches caused the paper from the wrapping to stick and was hard to pick off since the cheese cooled around it. I wanted some good brunch and I never tried this place although I passed by it so many times. I saw some good reviews so I wanted excited to give this place a try. I got the Crosswick chicken panini, sweet potato fries, taco totes, hot Shelby panini, and the coffee whip drink. Both of the panini sandwiches were very good! The combined flavors of all the items in the panini were good compliments of each other. The Crosswalk chicken panini was very healthy so I didn't feel guilty indulging in the sandwich. The totes were also very good. I also love the whipped coffee, just the right amount of sweetness that I like. The food didn't take too long to prepare and it was hot when I got the food. I had tried the other location before and wasn't too impressed, but it could have been my food selection. Today I tried this location and went with the Kogi beef panini. Excellent! I was sort of expecting a quasi cheesesteak, but this sandwich was much more civilized. The beef was tender and properly portioned, the spicy pickle balanced out the meat and lettuce and tomato. I can't believe I slept on this place! I've been going to the dentist 2 doors down for at-least 5 years and never stopped in. My friends recommended this place for our monthly brunch spot and then I coincidentally saw it on a friends page because of diners and drive in show. The staff are super friendly. You order at the register and they bring it to the table so not traditional waitress service but they checked on us twice and brought boxes and were just great. The food was great I got a hot Shelby quesadilla with taco tots. Everything was delicious and filling. I didn't take pictures this time but I will next time. Their food is fresh and has variety on how its served. I liked that and and will definitely be back. They are undergoing construction and it looks really nice inside I heard they will have a coffee shop on the other side. It's in a strip mall and parking shared with other businesses. read more

Came here for lunch today and walked away a fan! Parking was reasonably limited (this restaurant is part of a small strip mall), but we managed to snag a spot, likely because of us eating lunch a little late (or because of coronavirus). Anyway, my wife went in to order our food, and I was pretty shocked when she came out just a few minutes later with sandwiches in tow. They definitely prepared our food quickly! I got the Rosie for myself, while my wife snagged the #36. Because we drove around for a while trying to find a nice place to eat, my Rosie had unfortunately cooled down a bit by the time I took my first bite. I do think it affected my enjoyment a little bit, but it was still a very tasty sandwich. My wife loved her #36 and would probably get it again next time we visit Jersey Girl. My go-to place for picking up breakfast on the weekends. The food tastes phenomenal! This restaurant was featured on the show Diners, Drive-In, and Dives with Guy Feiri. They have two locations and I usually go to this one on Route 33. Some of my favorites: Southwest Buster, Greek Buster, and their pear & Gouda panini. They have a decent size menu and always have some season-specific specials. They also rotate their coffee flavors here on a weekly basis. Some of their freshly brewed flavors include: Irish Cream, Chocolate hazelnut, Jamaican me crazy, and almond. The Bavarian chocolate flavor is my favorite but they don't seem to include that one in their rotation often. They serve these flavors both hot and iced at different rotations. Plenty of seating inside and you can also order to pick up. The one downfall is that parking is very limited during the busiest days. read more

Today wasn't the first time we've eaten at Jersey Girl Cafe but it was the latest in a string of similarly negative experiences culminating in today's adventure. My wife and I went in for lunch shortly before noon. There was one person already seated awaiting their order. The only other person was finishing their meal. We placed our order for a grilled vegetable panini, got our drinks and sat. And sat. And sat. While we sat, no fewer than eight people came in to pick up takeout and/or delivery orders, while the staff filled an enormous box with an endless stream of sandwiches, salads, etc. I thought, "Is that made of the same material as clown cars - is it bottomless? Are there mirrors?" After 20 minutes of waiting for a simple matter of grilled vegetables with a schmeer of BBQ sauce on toast I went up to the counter to inquire as to the whereabouts of our mystery meal. Without looking into or calling back through the pass thru, the cashier said, "It just went on the grill." I was stunned - was Jersey Girl Cafe actually a front for a covert government experiment in telepathy? A few minutes after I returned to the table, out magically came a plate bearing a limp assortment of sad-looking vegetables that appeared to have been barely shown the warm, lovingkindness of a griddle before being dispassionately slapped on some bread that was subsequently and carelessly crushed on a press before being trotted out by a bored drone with the emotional customer service range of A to B. My first lukewarm, spongy, greasy bite sent horrible images from my tongue to my brain of flaccid worms that had died the night before during a K-Y Jelly wrestling match gone wrong at the Boom-Boom Men's Club and Bait Shop. The only thing that could have saved the day - the BBQ sauce, which was the breathless highlight of the item's menu description - was still languishing in the kitchen instead of serving as the emergency culinary lube needed to get through the "meal," chew my arm off and do the walk of shame to the door.
