the roast chicken only in Tuesday omg yummy

What a great hole in the wall place, discovered completely by accident and have been going there for a few years now. The owners are nice and pleasant. My favorite spot to get some casado con pollo or pinto steak. The food always taste fresh and delicious and the owners knows our order when we sit down. Nice and quaint little family run place. You must go on Tuesday to try the roasted chicken omg it's soooo delicious! yummy! All in all it's a win win for me and my bestie! We love relaxing there and enjoying a good conversation over lunch!

South Warren Street in Trenton is making an effort to get its act together. It has always had the big trees and 19th Century architecture, but until the last few years, the storefronts were often empty or lacking in attractiveness. Things have changed for the better, and it is now possible to walk down Warren and find several nice places to have a meal, drink, or even shop. Sunrise Luncheonette is one of those urban pioneers. It is a small shop with 7 or eight stools at the lunch counter, and about the same number of tables. Décor is rather Spartan, but the management makes a real effort to make you feel welcome when walking in for breakfast before 8, while the surrounding state government drivers are yet to open. I sat at the counter and watched as well known customers chatted with the counterman in friendly tones, swapping stories and jokes. Coffee was served promptly, and was about average. My Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sandwich on a Roll was also decent and tasty. The convenience of location cannot be beat. I enjoyed being able to park on the street without using a meter until 9 am, having a pleasant breakfast only 5 minutes from court, and getting out for under $6. Trenton is actually showing some gritty charm early in the morning, and I enjoyed being part of the wake up. Sunrise's breakfasts should not be compared to suburban style diners where excess is the name of the game. No. This is a cityscape locale, where the clientele tells a different story than heard out there. Life is rougher downtown, and Sunrise Luncheonette reflects that reality. If you get off on the difference, this can be a nice way to start the day.

The staff really sets this place apart, though. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and happy to make recommendations, which we've never regretted following. We're in New Jersey, surrounded by diners on every corner, and we're more than willing to pass them all up for this place. It's become a go-to spot for breakfast and lunch, and we're always excited to come back. Highly recommend.

A friend recently moved to Morrisville and I found myself in the area at lunchtime after a visit. I wanted to try a few things but it looked as though the steak was a big one, so I just had that. The fries that came with it were very good too. As was foretold, the steak was one of the best I've had in years. Let me start with the roll, long seeded torp that had a light toasting. ALL steaks should be so lucky as to have this as a delivery vehicle, most sandwiches too. The beef was tender and nicely seasoned and cheese and onions were evenly distributed throughout. The portion size/cost was very fair, this was 2 meals for me. My only critique would be on the Cooper American cheese used. I would prefer a sharper cheese, Cooper sharp or even provolone. I'll inquire if there are other options. Even if there weren't, I'd still get this anytime. I saw several other lunch items of interest to me, and in the right frame of mind and early enough several breakfast options too. Service was friendly and fast. I'll likely be back next for the shrimp tacos, or just another steak. I'm at a 4.5 with just the one visit, stay tuned....

We came here for brunch on a Saturday which happened to be Valentine's Day as well. The entire place was decorated with heart balloons, flowers on the wall, and the sweetest music playing. Even their regular decor is spectacular; the tables are spotless, beautiful velvet green chairs, and the cleanest bathroom. I also LOVE that their menu is a tour of South America because you can get such a variety of different flavors. We started with an order of their beef empanadas which were spectacular ! Then I ordered a Costa Rican Gallo Pinto breakfast (black beans, rice, chorizo, avocado, sweet pla trains and egg). Hubby ordered a exican breakfast of huevos rancheros (cubed potatoes, sausage, onions, peppers, chorizo, eggs and red sauce). Our son ordered the Nutella, strawberry pancakes which he also LOVED. Everything was very reasonably priced between $13-17 and was a good portion. The coffee was also amazing, sadly $5 which was a little pricey with no refills...but I'm happy to support a small business versus a chain. Kevin who was our server was so sweet and kept checking in to make sure we were liking our food. Then at the end of our meal they gave us the most delicious flan because it was Valentine's Day! Make aure to check this place out, parking is a little tricky, but otherwise it is worth the trip into Chambersburg.

And the other plates are more expensive but I thought I left a bit hungry the portions could be a little bigger or the prices a tad bit lower. My husband said the food was good but they gave him so little rice for his Costa Rican gallo pinto. It's nice to support small businesses perhaps if in the mood for fancy pancakes or BYOB would be back since they do have a pretty ambiance. No music was playing though when we were there. Service was not bad they didn't ask if we needed anything but when we did ask for stuff the answered friendly.

From the look of things, it has fallen into the strongest ownership and has a great chance of achieving longevity in this old river town neighborhood. If jazz is your sound, Rosetta's will fill that niche in your soul. From the moment I walked in and took a stool at the counter, the smooth jazz soundtrack kept me company. The presence of a full drum kit, electric keyboard and microphone stands in the front of the house by the entry door had me wondering if I would be lucky enough to audience a morning session. It wasn't to be, but it sure did set the mood for evening possibilities. My breakfast was simple. Sausage, fried egg and provolone cheese on rye sandwich, with side of home fries (onions & peppers added). The chef's skilled hands were visible from my seat, as was his laughing interaction with customers who called him out to acknowledge his presence. That was fun. The meal was good, but would have been exceptional had the sandwich been doubled up (2 of everything) and presented on an English muffin of Kaiser rather than sliced rye. The limited choice of white, wheat or rye for this creation missed the mark. Those taters on the other hand, were excellent and the java strong, fresh and tasty. PRO TIP - Add this big boy to the morning menu as a choice for those who appreciate what double meat, egg and cheese can do for the satisfaction of the hungry. Otherwise, it was all worthwhile. That Sunday brunch with mimosa and AYCE spread accompanied by live jazz is totally appealing, and we may drop in soon.

So when I used to work in L'ville and could get Route 1 Diner delivered through Uber Eats it was a treat indeed. I often ordered the turkey Reuben, omelettes, BLTs, fish sandos, and quesadillas. All good but the actual standout here is the STEAK FRIES! They are fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. They're the best steak fries by far and possibly a top 3 restaurant fry of all time for me. Even by delivery they arrive crisp. I've since left that job near the diner but when I find myself in the area I can't help but stop in to get the fries. I was actually hesitant to do so at first - kinda like lifting the curtain back on Oz. But there's no trickery here - the waitstaff is friendly in person, the food is hot and fresh, and incredibly priced. This diner is such a gem and I am admittedly jealous of people who live nearby.
