Was craving a chicken sandwich so made my first visit to Blazin' J's. I was satisfied overall. I went with the J's way sandwich combo. It was a fried chicken sandwich dipped in specialty house hot sauce w/ pepper Jack cheese, Hot House Mayo, & Pickles. The quality reminds me of Shake Shack but bigger and thicker crust. The hot sauce had a good kick and didn't make the chicken soggy. I was impressed that the breading held up to the sauce but also had a good breading to meat ratio. I felt like I could taste the heat of a dry rub on the chicken as well. It was a nuanced sauce! Fries very similar to 5 guys, maybe a tad on the dark side, but i did hear them getting cooked up for my order so they were nice and hot and crispy. Another review mentioned the cheap ketchup packets - true! But with the side of spicy mayo, I didn't need any ketchup. Service was friendly. Seating area was a dirty despite being within an hour of opening - minus 1/2 star. It was also expensive at over $17 for a combo - minus 1/2 star.

I was in the area and decided to give them a tried and I am glad I did. First the options are huge. So tasty everything was flavorful, just know everything is made to order so theirs a wait time for your food. The location is clean and can sit bigger party's. Parking is available but at times you might have to walk a little bit this plaza gets full. The lady at the counter was helpful and so patience when I was trying to figure out what I wanted.

    Amazing chicken sandwich & fries

Great addition to TCNJ. 1) The J's Way Chicken Sandwich is amazing. The house hot sauce is fantastic. 2) The cut fries are excellent. I enjoyed it. 3) The Belgian waffles are good, if you crave something sweet. Thought, TCNJ Campus town has few good dessert options. 4) Best part, they are tons of charging station. So, phone battery running low, not an issue. Glad this place opened up in TCNJ and Ewing Township, NJ.

There's something about a chicken sandwich that just hits the spot. Whether it's crispy or grilled, spicy or mild, there's no denying the satisfying crunch of the breading and the juicy tenderness of the meat. It's the perfect meal for any time of day - breakfast, lunch, or dinner. So if you're craving a chicken sandwich, go ahead and indulge. Treat yourself to that crispy, juicy goodness that you've been daydreaming about. Your taste buds will thank you.

While the location is very attractive for the students in the nearby college my visit from out of town was merely okay. Walking in and looking around you get a real sense of sterility, like the owners never left Covid behind. Tables are widely spaced, the cheap ketchup (I am totally a Heinz snob) is only served in packets and the drink machine is behind the counter. The person behind the counter was wearing a mask. I chose to eat outside although the table I chose was quite wobbly. Service was very slow, probably due to one cook in the back and one person up front. I had to wait over twenty minutes to get my meal. The menu is very limited, which is fine, but the standard chicken sandwich was just okay. Other than location you'll be much better off at Chick-fil-A, although Blazin' J's offers a nice break when you want a different chicken sandwich.

Checked out Blazin' J's today over by the College of New Jersey and loved it. The hubby ordered their signature spicy chicken sandwich and I ordered the chicken bites. Both were delicious. We really appreciated the option for getting a side salad as we are both a bit tired of the usual fries. The salad was very fresh and we loved all the dressing options. The staff were very friendly, the place was incredibly clean and comfortable. We'll be back!

Make Your Own Chicken sandwich. (Half-eaten) so good.

Have had takeout from here twice, and it's just as good as Chik Fil-A. Their sandwich is delicious.

I wanted to avoid some of the usual suspects, and came across Prince and it's high reviews. So I decided to give it a shot. The place doesn't look like much from the outside - your typical chicken take out joint. There's barely any seating inside but it's not the type of place where you hang out from what I can tell. It's pretty basic inside with a chest of drinks and a simple counter. The menu is mostly focused on chicken and with good reason - they make it really, really well. We took our orders back to work with us and after opening the bags, others in the office were immediately intrigued by what we had brought back. I'm not sure what they season it with, or what they fry it in, but the fried chicken was absolutely delicious. Very juicy with a thin but perfectly crisp crust and a great flavor. The only downside is that the sides were meh. The mashed potatoes were the same as you'd get at any chicken place (KFC, Popeyes) and the biscuit was dry and uninspiring. But man was that chicken fantastic. So, pick up a chicken meal or just get some chicken and make your own sides - this place is a diamond in the rough.

Naturally, I had to see what the fuss was about. I ordered takeout because the cars stretched past the entrance way like a metal conga line led by hunger and curiosity . The object of my investigation was Dave's Sliders with fries. The sliders arrived on little potato buns, as if each were the pride of a humble Idaho farmer, topped with kale slaw, pickles, and Dave's sauce. And reader, they were beautiful. Everything worked in harmony. The crisp of the chicken, the brightness of the slaw, the subtle rebellion of the pickles. I chose the "medium" spice level, which turned out to be about as dangerous as a well-mannered librarian. Next time I will go "hot," maybe even "reaper," because if I am going to suffer, I would rather it be for art or poultry. Now, as for the mac and cheese: tragedy, pure and simple. It tasted as though it had been boiled in a space-age pouch, the kind of food that might be served in the afterlife if the afterlife were a public-school cafeteria. It was mac and cheese that had given up on its dreams. Still, the name of the place is Dave's Hot Chicken, not Dave's Existentially Redeemed Macaroni. The chicken was excellent, and that is what matters. So I will give Dave's four stars out of five, because perfection is a myth, and because next time I intend to burn just a little brighter.
