Three Strikes -- I'm Done With This Location…read more I've gone to the Valvoline in Bound Brook, NJ regularly because it's close to home. Even though my dealership in Wayne, NJ offers free oil changes, it's too far to be practical for regular service, so I've relied on this Valvoline for the convenience. The team is friendly, and the service is quick, which I appreciate. But as far as I can tell from tracking my visits, after the same issues happening three times in a row, I can't trust that I'm getting the full service I'm paying for -- and I won't be going back. The first thing I noticed was that my oil changes felt too frequent. When I checked my credit card statements, I saw I was getting oil changes way more often than I should. My car takes full synthetic oil, which should last about 7,500 miles, but each time, they set the return sticker at just 2,500 miles -- that's 5,000 miles early. When I asked about it, the attendant said it's their way of helping customers "avoid going over." But without telling me they were doing that, it just caused me to get unnecessary oil changes and spend more money. Then there's the tire pressure check, which is supposed to be included. On each of my last three visits, I went in with the tire pressure light on, and was told it would turn off after driving. It didn't. When I checked the tires myself, some were as much as 20 psi under. Clearly, they weren't checked or filled -- even though I was told they were. I don't mind putting air in my own tires, but I do mind being told something was done when it wasn't. And I really don't appreciate being guided into oil changes thousands of miles earlier than my vehicle requires. This location has been convenient, and the staff is polite and fast -- but trust matters more. After three bad experiences in a row, I've decided I'm done with this location

My engine light came on again after I had it looked at by my mechanic. This is NOT shade against my mechanic - he warned me it would probably come back on but we need to follow the investigatory steps first. So at my brother's insistence (impatience?) I stopped to get the code read so I'd have a better idea why the light was on. I was hesitant bc women and car bros don't generally mix :sexism cough cough: but the prospect of being stopped on the highway with my son (a dog) gave me feminist courage to go in. Carlos came out, read my code, it was the evap code btw and reassured me that it's not the type of code that'll make my car cut off, it was safe to drive for a while, but would fail emissions which thankfully isn't for another 8 months. He told me to get it looked at sooner than later bc if something else goes wrong I wouldn't know since the light is already on. Good call. Carlos reiterated what my mechanic said about taking steps one by one and that the smoke test would probably be next to see where the leak is. He stressed there was no need to panic. We ended with a culturally relevant fist bump. I felt seen and respected. The next day i went back to my mechanic who kept the car, did the next steps, and then ordered my OEM parts for repair. This was a fantastic interaction. I know other reviewers haven't had positive experiences at this location and that's unfortunate. I think it's clutch (see what I did there) to know who to go to for what. Dealer will do warranty work. Mechanic will do my tires and other repairs. And Pep Boys will read my codes. Can't go wrong that way. So Kudos to Carlos. Or the guy wearing the Carlos uniform. My husband wore a shirt that said Steve for 3 years and that ain't even his name lmao

Then told me to go to Aamco Transmissions to get my transmission fluid level checked. Last time I will bring any vehicle to Pep Boys. Stay away from Bridgewater location. Would give zero stars if Yelped allowed but doesn't so will go with one star.

This shop is a true blessing. I moved to manville knowing nobody and just happened to bring my truck here. Being a woman taking your car alone to a mechanic can be so daunting, always worried about being ripped off, talked down to, or taken advantage of. If you are a woman (or any person really, but especially women) PLEASE GO HERE!!! Diego is nothing but a top notch, respectful professional. He does great work for an honest price. I have had so many problems with my old truck and Diego has gone way above and beyond in providing me great service. He has worked with me on my budget numerous times and responded promptly when I have issues. If you want someone who really cares about your vehicle, and you as a person, euroservice automotive is where you need to be!! A HUGE thank you from the bottom of my heart to Diego and staff for all your hard work, it doesn't go unnoticed.

I recently brought my 2021 Land Rover in to EuroService for an oil change and transmission service…read more I reached out for pricing ahead of time, and Diego got back to me quickly with a quote and was very professional throughout the process. Their pricing was about $200 higher than some other European specialty shops in the area, but their strong reviews made me decide to give them a shot. The final bill ended up being slightly higher than the original quote, but not by much. They also performed an inspection and recommended a few additional items. One recommendation was the cabin air filter, which I had literally just replaced myself. To Diego's credit, he explained that his technician was mainly going off the vehicle mileage recommendation and likely didn't physically inspect the filter closely before suggesting it. Overall, the service itself was good, communication was solid, and the shop seems professional. That said, the higher pricing and the upsell recommendation on a brand-new cabin filter gave me mixed feelings about returning in the future. Not a bad experience, just one where I think customers should double-check recommended add-ons.
