The Jersey Mike's in Barstow is my go-to dinner stop on the drive between Vegas and LA, which I make frequently. It's solid road trip fuel that's a cut above fried and fatty fast food, which is always a plus. I love sandwiches of all kinds, and Jersey Mike's never seems to disappoint. This location is not quite as good as some of the others though. On my last few visits I've had a few disappointments, which ranged from the bread tasting a little stale to noticeably smaller portions (as well as one time getting a ridiciulously massive portion), to my order being slightly wrong (they forgot to leave off the mayonnaise or gave me white bread instead of wheat). This location is definitely inconsistent. Several times this location has been out of ice and the soda fountain hasn't been working, or they haven't had any diet soda options available. We've been given refunds on the sodas we ordered a couple of different times because of this. I like to order ahead through the app to save time, which is so valuable on the exhausting drive from Nevada to California. I order about 15 minutes before arrival, and my food has almost always been waiting for me. The dining room is small and has seen better days, but I've never felt unsafe eating in there. Barstow is kinda sketchy especially at night, but it's well lit and isn't filled with unsavory characters like some of the other quick service restaurants in the area always seem to be. My go-tos here are the chicken cheesesteak when I want a hot sub to the veggie or turkey and cheese when I'm craving a cold sandwich. Depending on who makes your order, you'll either get an overstuffed sub that's loaded with meat and veggies or you'll get a sandwich that leaves you hungry. There is no in-between. I do think this location skimps on the veggies and toppings, which is a letdown. I love lots of lettuce, tomatoes, and especially the sweet peppers on the chicken cheesesteak. I call Jersey Mike's my stop for elevated road trip food. It's not gourmet, but it certainly is reliable, hearty, and convenient for fueling up. While it's messy to eat in the car, it's a good spot to take a break before hitting the really crazy traffic going into Los Angeles. read more

I never leave reviews but genuinely annoyed with the experience. I had came in wanting to try something new and i was met with a terrible experience. Service was terrible and some employees were rude. I waited for a bit off to the side since it was busy and my sandwich was hot, they had called out some other guys name for a sandwich and then when they called out the number for mine i didn't know they're were a ton of people. Went up and said "was it for yk my name" and she rolled her eyes and pushed the sandwich towards me and walked away. Would've liked a bag instead of walking out with just a wrapped sandwich but whatever. If i'm ever in barstow again i think i'll pass on jersey mikes. read more

Did a put stop lunch grab here. I've not had Jersey mikes sub enough times in my life, at least that was the conclusion I came to when I decided to eat here and really enjoyed the Italian sub. I think we got the 12 inch or 18 inch one and I shared it with my husband. It was a good amount and it definitely tasted way better than the Italian sub at a couple of other chain sub places. Not bad. Had the Big Kahuna. It's pretty much a Philly Cheesesteak. Not bad but too heavy. Don't recommend it if you are stopping here before reaching Vegas. You'll be stuffed for 6 hours before you can enjoy the real food in Vegas. The line is pretty long here for something too average. read more

This particular Jersey Mikes is located amongst an amazing variety of fast food options near the Outlet Mall. I found it to be somewhat larger here than the other typical Jersey Mike's that I'm familiar with, as they did seem to offer quite a few tables for dining inside. It wasn't especially crowded the day I was there, but I have to assume they do get a lot of road traffic here at certain times. In my opinion, Jersey Mikes beats most of the other sandwich shops hands down, as their sandwiches are far superior. Went today to get a sub a 1:15pm. It would have been my 1st time . When we ordering our sandwich and they were preparing them . The bug guy coming and started spraying. There was food on the counter and it was busy. Everything was open not covered including our sandwiches. Asked the girl if he was spraying bug spray and she said "yes" so we don't get bugs. She clearly didn't get it. She said would you like to talk to the bug guy . Told her to cancel the order and walk out. This is very concerning. read more

I stopped in on 4-6-24 around 430pm. General Manager, Amber greeted me and took my order. When I mentioned that I grew up in NJ and lived in the Point Pleasant Beach area for 45 years (birthplace of Jersey Mike's), she immediately interacted and asked cordial questions which I responded and replied with questions and interactions. She expressed her excitement about visiting NJ this summer for JM. Amber was very professional and knows how to make a customer feel extremely welcome. It was a great reminder of my home town. As for my #6 with Swiss, it was exactly what I would expect from a JM location. However, I wish the young man that rang me up would've asked for my shore points number. I came in to get a sub and I went to the bathroom first because there was someone I line and I wanted to wash my hands. I walked in at 5:55 I went to order at 5:59 and they were already cleaned up saying they closed at 6. I was understanding as it was Xmas eve but I said mam I have been in the restaurant. She immediately was rude and said you had to use the bathroom. I said mam I came here to get a sub. I was floored on how rude the manager was. I asked extra nicely if she can make me one for I was otw to Vegas. She rudely slapped a sub together that was undercooked I should of just went to in n out. After getting the shaft by a rude employee at Panera Bread down the street, we stopped at Jersey Mikes. Never tried them before, we were not disappointed. The service was fast, courteous and professional. The employees treated customers like they should be treated. It took less than 10 minutes from the time I placed my order until the time I was walking out the door with my two orders. We were very pressed with the quality of the sandwiches. Really sucky experience. As an avid lover of Jersey Mikes, this has got to be one of the worst experiences I've had. And the reason for 2 stars is because the product is always delicious. While I didn't eat my sandwiches today due to the pure unsanitary that came from the cashier, Jersey mikes chain is a wonderful sandwich shop. The problem today was the staff. Particularly the cashier. She had no name tag, none of them did from what I could see. She was an older lady with dark hair and pale skin. When our sandwiches were waiting for the toppings or veggies she came from the cash register and asked what I wanted. I explained I would like it mikes way , she rolled her eyes and said ok. She kept calling the sandwich number 13. I told her it was just a giant Turkey cut in half. The problem with this was , she went from the cash register with blue gloves on and instantly grabbed my sandwich. Put lettuce tomato and onion then went back to the cash register, accepted cash from 2 different customers, rang them out then went BACK to my sandwiches and touched them. SAME BLUE GLOVES. They were never once changed. Now that is just unsanitary. No matter how you chalk it up, accepting cash, working a cash register then handling food without a glove change is against food handlers code. On top of that, she wiped the counter then got the paper and grabbed my sandwich again before wrapping it. I will not be back to this location. A huge waist of 30 minutes due to the line of lunch rush and waist of money considering the sandwiches were thrown away. read more

I suggest management should look at security tapes from about 1pm on Nov 30th. I asked an employee to wipe the knife before cutting our sandwich so she politely agreed and actually took it to the back kitchen. She returned without the knife and finished preparing sandwiches. A minute later a different employee brought out the knife (what is it? A 12" serrated kitchen knife?) and angrily tossed it into the counter and it slid all the way over to me and the woman next to me hitting her purse. We both jumped. It was clearly some coworker aggression or something but it was a shock to us in the store. oh yes! so glad we stopped! the sandwiches were wonderful and refreshing! i had the turkey provolone with out the provolone. filled it full of fresh vegetables. i did wish the had spinach,　but they had plenty to add on. lots of fresh sliced turkey! my husband had the roast beef, which he was very happy with! also he added on a coke and chocolate chip cookie. the cookie was so tasty he wished i had pick up two. great staff, great service!!! read more

THEY OVERCHARGE. This was my first and last time going to a Jersey Mike's. I initially ordered a #9 but they didn't have roast beef. So I ordered a #8 instead A #8 comes with turkey, ham and bacon which was listed as $9.45. I asked for no ham because I simple don't like ham. I paid and tipped and walked out. However, I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charged for the bacon!! I was charged for a #7 for $8.95 (Turkey only) PLUS $1.80 for bacon. I went back in and told the cashier I was overcharged. She said that was how she had to charge it. I told her I ordered a #8 and removing an item shouldn't be a charge for another item already listed. A man (who looked like the manager) promptly interrupted and said that there's nothing he can do because that's just how it's done. I again said they were overcharging for an item that was already listed on the sandwich I ordered. The man said "All I can offer is a cookie for the inconvenience." No, sir. I don't want a cookie. I want to be charged accurately. I actually tipped because I felt bad for how the man had been talking to the other workers. It seemed like he thought I was trying to cheat them by asking ordering a #8 without ham - but the bacon was already listed! I definitely should have not been charged. The women who made my sandwich and rang me up were nice and gave great customer service. Perhaps the man was having a bad day but it's not good business to overcharge customers. read more

This Jersey Mike's should be avoided. The amount of meat put on sandwiches is an embarrassment to the establishment of the original Jersey Mike's. I believe more meat is put on the skimpy subway sandwiches then they use at this Lenwood store. The meat is sliced, so thin to put it any lower would be to shred the meat, very poultry not acceptable. Do not recommend going there. read more
