This was the worst experience at a McDonald's!!! My family ordered 5 breakfast meals. It took over 30 mins. to get our food brought to our table. Other patrons waited a long time for their orders as well. Tables were dirty, trash cans overflowing, flies in the dining room and my daughter saw a dead "cockroach" in the women's bathroom. AVOID! I would give negative if i could! I ordered our food food via the app and arrived at your restaurant several minutes later.  Waited 5 minutes inside my car and the message my order was ready so i went inside pick it up.  Needless to say it was a virtual madhouse inside with only one girl working the counter.  People yelling and asking for their order from 45 minutes ago. About 5-10 minutes passed and I finally was able to ask someone about my order and they looked at my phone and said she will check.  Needless to say she didn't come back.  At this point it's been about 35-40 minutes from the time I placed my order and my family was hungry and anxious.  I tried to cancel my order and it did not respond to my app.  I left and went to Starbucks and it was busy but well run and not chaos, that only took 8 minutes from the time I walked up to the counter until I got my food and drinks! read more

We have stopped at this location off the 15 FWY on Commerce Pkwy near Lenwood Rd for years while on road trips, but today was our last time. The service was poor, with only one unfriendly staff member who directed everyone to kiosks despite the lack of a personal touch (I was fine with that as I ordered via the app). However, the real issues were the hygiene standards. The restrooms were disgusting and overflowing with trash, and to top it off, I found a hair in my hash brown which was the final straw. It's a health concern, and we will no longer be spending our money here. Management needs to address the lack of staffing and sanitation. Sad to see the decline of a long time travel stop. read more

Since when did McDonald's stop giving refills on soda? After paying almost $30 for 2 breakfast sandwiches, hash browns and sodas, you would think that it included the refills since it doesn't say otherwise. Not only are we now inputting our own orders on a screen, no more walking up to place orders, now no refills. What's next, are you going to have customers work the fryers? If you have dogs, traveling thru this is a great place to stop. It has an empty field in front to let the pups stretch their legs. You order your food thru a kiosk which was a little different but got the hang of it. My food was fresh. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. Usually the bacon is not the best. This time it was crunchy and actually tasted like bacon. 10/10 hash brown 10/10 My coffee was perfectly made. My husband got a sausage egg biscuit. He rated it and 8/10. Said it needed cheese lol. Needed to stop for a coffee, restroom break and just stretch out during our drive from Vegas to home. I don't think I have stopped at this McD's before, usually it's the truck stop or the burger place on the other side of the freeway. They also had the McRib and I had tried to purchase one in Vegas and they did NOT have it for sale. So I got to have one before it goes away for the season. Stopped here again driving from Vegas to Orange County. Since I make this trip often, I always to stop at different restaurants for some variety. This time, I actually went into the restaurant to eat and rest a bit. First, inflation is very real here. $28 dollars for 2 meals!! I decided to get a small milkshake to go which was an additional $4.50ish. I don't go to McD's very often so I'm not sure if this was just because it's in Barstow or if all of them are now that expensive. I have a feeling it's all of them though. This McD's has the touch screen ordering if you want, but I still like to talk to someone. It took a couple minutes for someone to help us, but when they did, they were very efficient and nice. It wasn't long after we got our self-service drinks that our number was called. Food was exactly as I expected at a McD's. Still love their fries. The place was clean, but you need a code to use the restrooms. I will say that the restrooms are in pretty good shape for a rural McD's. Let's start with customer service. It was around 4:15pm on 1-17-26, the young lady out front was amazing. She took our order at the counter instead of having to use the digital kiosk and even brought it to us in the dining area. Very polite and the food was also hot, fresh and excellent. The bad parts of this location is that it does not do refills on drinks. And also, you need a code to use the bathroom. I'm sure it's just a deterrent for some bad visitors but it is an inconvenience when you can't find someone to ask for the code. Great breakfast! Stopped by on a Tuesday morning on our way to Las Vegas. My family and I self ordered at the kiosk, there was no wait. Our food was ready in 15 mins, it was nice and hot. Not sure why this McDonald's got rated so low. The reason I rated 4 outta 5 stars was that I didn't dine in. Their drive thru was very thorough, concise, professional and friendly. She would make sure that my order was correct via big screen, and again, at the pay-window. No confusion. Question were answered clearly and professionally. Whoever manages this franchise had done a very good job. They both deserved a raise. It was in the desert; so, not much to see in terms of scenery.
