The spring roll set comes with 4 sheets of rice paper, fresh veggies (lettuce, basil, cucumber, pickled carrots), rice noodles, your choice of protein (we chose pork sausage), and dipping sauce. The pho broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The spring rolls came out amazing and were so filling. My only suggestion would be to have the carrots shredded instead of sliced to get a more even distribution within the spring rolls. But overall it was a fantastic meal. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! As much as I love arugula, I think the Il Classico could use one more slice of ham (I think there were two slices) and less arugula, which was piled nearly 1" thick, taking up much of the room. The focaccia was a flavorful canvas for the sandwich. The lemon cookie (made with olive oil) was tender and bright with flavor. It was a nice, sweet treat to cap off the meal.

Several months ago, the family who owned this franchise location sold the business back to Jersey Mike's corporate. Under their ownership, it had been one of my favorite lunch destinations. Every business is going to experience transitional woes whenever there is an ownership change. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but that benefit has been exhausted. The turnover for this location appears to be extremely high, because there are always new faces who are in training. For the first few months after the change in ownership, about 90% of the time, the cold subs that I got Mike's Way were way over-dressed. They were soggy messes. I almost never had that problem with the previous owners. There was maybe one guy that was a little heavy handed, and I learned to ask him to go a little lighter on the oil and vinegar. But because the previous owners had so little turnover, I generally knew who was making my sub and how they would make it. So, I've learned to ask to go a little lighter on the sauces with everyone now; sometimes the sandwich is a little too dry, but better than a soggy bun falling apart in my hand. Including today, I've seen them take money from two customers, and completely forget to make their subs, under conditions that have not been particularly busy. Both customers sat patiently at a table with drink and chips, and were only discovered after all other customers had been served and the staff had begun cleaning up the shop during the lull in orders. I would have lost it if that had been me. Today I ordered a hot sub, a Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak. The ingredients are pretty simple; Frank's Red Hot, lettuce, tomato with blue cheese. I took a couple of bites and right away knew that it was ranch dressing, not blue cheese. I asked the girl who finished making the sub, the word finished is important, if she put blue cheese on it, and she said yes. Alright, maybe my taste buds were off. I dipped my finger into where I knew there is dressing and tasted it; that is not blue cheese. I went back to the girl and asked if she was sure, and she now tells me that she wasn't the one who put the dressing on it. The manager who took and started my order was who put the ranch on it. I waited for him to appear and told him that I was 95% certain that he put ranch on my sandwich. He asked if I wanted ranch on my sandwich. I answered that I did not, and waited...and waited some more. He finally asked if I wanted a new sub. I said that I did. The new sub was made the correct way. The just don't seem particularly focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience; actually, not even a good customer experience. read more

I ordered two giant sandwiches and a kids meal both the girls, the short, one with pigtails, and the one with the bun were rude short and didn't listen to the order. The shorter girl, with the braid pigtails rolled her eyes when I asked if I could get an extra side of their relish. If you're going to have people that work at your facility I would say maybe make sure they're in a good mood or can handle a fast-paced environment I was not rude nor did I rush them and I also left a tip prior to asking for additional relish I had stated I did not want peppers on my sandwich, which still gave me peppers , other than that the gentleman were very nice and were accommodating. I completely understand a busy environment but when you're paying $19 a sandwich I feel like you should listen to what people are allergic to or don't want on their sandwich., but I do not understand being rude. I have no problem. Going to any other location from Southeast Portland to Northeast Portland to Sherwood but this particular location I will not be back. read more

One of my favorite sub shops in town. They always give you a ton of meat on your sandwiches along with toppings. The lines always seen to move fast which is important to me as I usually come here on lunch break. A full meal with chips and a drink is less expensive then the other sub shops I've been to.
