OMG...super freaking yummy! I randomly found this spot as it was nearby my hotel that I was staying in Hillsboro. It was about a 5 minute drive. I got the Chorizo Burrito, and it was so delicious! Came here on a Thursday afternoon after having driven past it so often. The store definitely felt like it was a classic deli with a menu that had specials everyday! I decided to go with their Thursday special, unfortunately for me, the sandwich came too dry and was just not the best. It was large and filling but as I noted before, way too dry. This place is about 10 minutes from our house and it's so convenient. We love ordering online and grabbing lunch to-go, which I recommend because it's always packed! Be warned, if you order online plan in advance, it's almost always a 45 minute - 1 hour wait to pick it up. It's not a huge deal, but doesn't work if you are wanting to eat immediately. My daughter and I always split the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich because it's huge! It's piled high with pulled pork, coleslaw, onion, pickle, BBQ sauce, brioche bun. Finally got the chance to come here and the vibe, the service, and of course the food were all top notch! Plenty of parking in the parking lot between the cafe and the butcher shop. The Original and Chorizo are my favs. Both come out hot with a packet of sour cream and a side of homemade salsa. I was looking around and most people were ordering sandwiches. This Beaverton butcher and cafe had really good quality meat. I ate nearly an entire burger and it had no gristle in it. Score! My partner ordered a Philly and it came with a dippable side of white queso. This is my go-to sandwich place in Hillsboro! As the name implies, it's all about the meat. Whenever my husband and I are craving a solid, good quality, fresh, hearty sandwich, this place is our first choice. I actually can't believe that I hadn't written a review until now. But I guess it's because we always place an order for pickup to enjoy at home. So I can't really speak to the ambience, but I can say that the service and quality of the food is consistently excellent because we continue to return, time after time. My go to order is the BLTA on sourdough. It's the perfect sandwich - crispy, salty bacon, with fresh lettuce, tomato and avocado on perfectly toasted and buttery sourdough. The flavors and textures and ratio of meat to produce, combine creating a perfectly balanced sandwich that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. While it's a simple sandwich, I believe you can tell the quality of a place by their ability to do the simple things right. And they get it right! The sandwiches come with a bag of chips and a fresh pickle which are they perfect companions. Honestly, as I'm writing this I'm thinking about when to order next! I also love their macaroni and potato salads which are so hearty and flavor packed. Once again these are also all about the meat! The Gouda Mac salad has bacon, ham, black olive, roasted red bell pepper, onion, & macaroni and it's SO good, it's a meal on its own. We attempted to stop by on. Monday and they were closed , I have been trying to check this place out for months. This weekend I was able to stop by. The menu is easy and basic, burgers, sandwiches and sides. I had the Meating right chuck burger. It was loaded with veggies and your usual trimmings, if you like mustard it was covered, which I was very happy about. You can select a side, I chose the potato sales, what a great choice, it was very tasty. You can pick up packets of ketchup, mayo and other sauces. You will get an order number that they call you, you will need to pick it up. The orders take about 20 min to come out but we'll worth the wait. My son had the Reuben, as you can see from the picture it was loaded. The inside is small and casual. Very self serve vibes. The employees were very nice and friendly. Visited for lunch today, Sunday, and they were packed. We ordered two 1/2 sandwiches: a chicken, bacon, avocado and a blta. The sandwiches were fabulous. I liked the chicken better than the Turkey on the bacon & avocado sandwich, so I'm glad Turkey wasn't available right now! Their spicy aioli is simply perfect, just the right amount of heat for me. It's been a while since I came back here. They have expanded to have a separate dining area and shopping area. The place has more tables to sit and enjoy your meal. It is counter service - order and then go find a place to sit. I ordered the reuben sandwich and a side of the gouda mac salad. The reuben sandwich was amazing, one of the best I've had. Free coffee Refills, and the breakfast burritos were large, hot and legit! The meat is fresh and local since they own the butcher shop next door.
