One of the best Cuban sandwiches I've had. The Staff are super welcoming and attentive right when you walk in. For ordering, you go up to the counter and they take your order. Once you're done, you sit and they will bring it over. There is also a jug of ice water you self serve from. Seating is a little limited, as the restaurant isn't huge, but hasn't been an issue when I have gone. They also can open up the doors/windows which is really cool when it's nice out. The Cuban came on toasted rustic roll, which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pork shoulder and ham were cooked perfectly and had such an amazing flavor. The grain mustard and Swiss cheese really brought everything together though. The chips were nice, salty, and very crunchy. Nothing crazy to write about, but I still enjoyed them. We got a Ruben and a Cuban sandwich, and both were complete home runs. We'd buy the mustard they use for the Cuban, and the Ruben had kind of a slaw with a little pickle that exploded with flavor. We've picked up sandwiches from Karver many times over the six years we've lived in Beaverton, and they're pretty good, if overpriced (your mileage may vary). However! On July 4th, we put in an online order to pick up for a picnic ("pic-a-nic" if you're a bear), and discovered, when we got there, that Karver was closed. "No big deal!" we thought. "These things happen! We'll get a refund tomorrow." July 5, we called Karver, and the person we spoke to said we'd have to talk to the manager, who would call us back. "No problem!" we said. "These things happen." It's July 23, and we've called back several times, and we've always gotten that same message: The manager will get back to us. Today, the person we talked to, who we've talked to before, was like, "Most people don't keep trying," letting us know that we aren't the only people who tried to order sandwiches that day, and we aren't the only people who haven't gotten their money back. And most of the others have just given up, I guess? Maybe it's too much to expect, but I'd have thought Karver would have reached out to the people who put in online orders on the 4th to apologize and assure us our money was being refunded. Who am I kidding? It's 2026-that's definitely too much to expect. But a returned call and a refund is the bare minimum for a functioning business, and we can't even get that. And we can't keep frequenting a business that stole $70 from us, for all intents and purposes. So here's what I recommend, as a former regular customer of Karver: try Elephant Delicatessen. They're also pretty good, they have more options (including French fries), they're a little less overpriced, and they'll give you a refund if they mess up your order. read more

We came on a Thursday 3pm way past the lunch rush so it was just us. We ordered the Pork Belly Bah-mi and Tri-tip French Dip. First the bread is really fresh. The tri-tip is tender, juicy, well marinated without being too salty. The au jus dipping adds an extra kick of savory meaty deliciousness. As for the bah-mi, the pork belly is super tender and surprisingly not greasy at all and goes super well with the pickled veggies. The sammies are a good size and came with kettle "chips". I saved half of mine for later. We also ordered a PB&J, a soda and a milkshake (12oz). On a Sunday afternoon, we experienced this location as mostly a "takeout" spot. Service was friendly. Counter service with delivery to the table. Water station near the door. There are about 7-8 tables. The menu is on a column. They have beer, wine, soda, milkshakes. We ordered the grilled cheese which seemed promising but would have been better with a sharper cheese in the 3 cheese mix. The Melter Skelter was tasty, but the chicken chunks threw it off a bit. I think it would have been better with thick slices of chicken. The turkey with thinly sliced tart green apple was the best. I know that people like to feel like they get their money's worth, but I would recommend taking off 1/3 to 1/2 of the turkey to balance the flavors better. The tomato bisque was a bit tart for my taste and would have benefited from more salt. Overall, we would return but probably would not drive out of my way to get here. read more

We were out South doing errands, when we spotted this restaurant on search. We had our orders to go, and had a little picnic in our car, over-looking the Beaverton City Park. My husband said about: "I don't know how they did it, but I would say the Pastrami Rueben sandwich was the best Rueben that I have ever had. I ended up waiting another 15 minutes, which is understandable for larger orders. I then got 5 minutes down the road and was called to turn around because they had forgotten two sandwiches - perhaps something I should have checked, but also something I would hope would be verified by the team working. Loved, loved these sandwiches!! We had the French Dip and the Cuban, both outstanding!. Both sandwiches were full of filling, the bread was perfect for the amount of filling it had to hold. The selection was really extensive for this small a venue, but apparently they do a lot of catering. The staff are really pleasant and helpful, one of them walked me through their IPA selection which was helpful.
