I placed an online order without looking at the wait time, because in all my experiences with Jersey Mike's, I've never had to wait beyond 15 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes, then realizing that the ready time is 45 minutes...I'm beyond upset. I'm not from this area- I could have driven home instead of wasting my time. The subs are pretty good. Though, the sandwiches are inconsistently made. Sometime, they put plenty of meat, sometimes they skimp and its a breadwich. If it was $5 or $6 like Subway, I'd say okay, but at $9 for a 6-inch sub sandwich, I expect a fair amount of meat and not a breadwich. Seems as though the training is inconsistent with which person makes your sandwich. The other thing is the employees bounce around from making your sandwich to topping it to ringing you up, before your on done with the current part (slicing of meats, toppings, paying part), and many times causes errors. They should make 1 persons sandwiches at a time and let you finish before switching employees around from each step and this would stop the errors. Last trip they forgot the bacon, and I didn't notice they didn't put it on after I left and got home. I have to watch and check or an ingredient is missing or they forget something. read more

The food is always consistent, but the customer service is extremely inconsistent. I usually will go to this one if I'm bringing home food for the family otherwise I prefer the ones in Simi and Moorpark. Last night I walked into the store and there was only one customer and (3) employees, one of whom was coming back from break. It appears they were working on at least (3) go orders and the customer in front of me. The girl who assisted me was Extremely soft-spoken and you couldn't even hear her at all. I actually had to lean in twice to hear what she was saying. However what shocked me was the phone literally rang for SIX MINUTES STRAIGHT. Not a single employee acknowledged, mentioned or even attempted to answer the phone. One employee was working on a to-go order/register, another on the hot grill for the customer in front of me and one on my order. I was completely shocked. Although I'm glad my order got taken care of I'm stunned no one did anything about the phone. It was almost as though they were instructed to NOT answer the phone without even flexing a muscle. I only know it was six minutes because I got a text message shortly before walking into the store and left with the phone still ringing (albeit it faded). I'm definitely going to reconsider going here if they won't answer the phone and there is ONLY ONE PHYSICAL customer in the store with (3) people- visibly shown. Unless you're doing a good delivery service or ordered ahead via an app I would consider a different location. read more

Not sure why the guys working on the afternoon of 4/25 work at this place if they're annoyed by you ordering a sandwich. Literally added the minimum ingredients listed on the menu for the sandwiches we ordered and wrapped everything up without letting us add anything, request the sandwich be toasted, etc. Register guy must have figured out we wanted to make additions and said, "Do you really need me to unwrap them to add stuff?" Can I just finally come out and say it? Jersey mikes is the best damn chain sandwich shop around!!!! Moving to Ventura county years ago and getting to partake in the jersey mikes experience has been life changing haha. Ok, maybe that's dramatic but I honestly didn't know there was anything in-between subway or a premium Italian deli but jersey mikes is that happy medium. Both Camarillo locations are great, both have friendly staff & make great quality sandwiches but this one of the two had become my new favorite. It really comes down to the staff & their consistency with getting my order right/being fast. At this location when I call in a sandwich order they NEVER mess it up (hope I didn't jinx myself). The other location could be hit or miss but this one always is correct. Also this location can tend to be super busy yet their team really really hustles to get the line moving. I appreciate that. Sandwich Review: top three subs are the club sub w/ bacon, tuna sub, and or the Italian for me. Everything is fresh and made to order you can't beat it. I also have a weird obsession with their mayo here, it doesn't taste like normal mayo it's so good! Weird observation I know but it's that perfect finishing touch to my sandwich. Price is a little steep, $12 for a sandwich probably seems silly but it's that good I'll pay it. Also they have tasty cakes which I normally only found on the east coast so I'm happy they supply this tasty unnecessary treat. Unlike previous visits to your restaurant, today took 35 minutes for us to receive our one giant hot sandwich. I noticed the cook made one hot sandwich at a time. There were three to four hot sandwich orders continuously during my wait. What restaurant cooks one item at a time? Training is sorely lacking in your restaurant. There should never be 15 people standing in line waiting for ONE customer to be completed before starting the next. They consistently cannot get my online order correct. I add bacon and avocado and they happily charge me but rarely put it in my sandwich. I ask for mayo and mustard and they don't put that on either. I ask for olive oil and vinegar on the side so the bread isn't soaking wet by the time I eat it and they ALWAYS drown the sandwich in it despite my request in bold letters. I called to get my $3.80 back for the missing avo and bacon and they don't answer the phone. So now I'm going to drive back and request my order to be comped. Food is good generally but, I just got my order picked up by doorDash and when it was delivered it was not in a plastic bag and tied shut. It was just in the paper sleeve and the top was completely open and the sandwich was exposed because it wasn't wrapped properly. I like the "Mike's Way" seasoning, and the sandwiches are really good, but what really prompted me to write this review is the service at this particular location. When I am in this area I look forward to eating lunch here, sure the food is decent but the crew working here always go out of their way to engage the customer and make them feel appreciated. Always been good folks when I go in there... They make my sandwiches pretty easily even though I have specific instructions every time. There was however one time they ran out of bread? Their meats and sandwiches in general are really delicious--I'd say the best of any sub chain. Freshly sliced meat and cheese and bread for every sandwich. Love their chip selection too. Unfortunately, every time I go in, it takes at least 20 minutes to get my food, even if there are only four or five people in front of me. They always have a lot of help but seem inefficiently organized. I also was overcharged last time: ordered a kids meal (plus a bag of chips) and a hot sub with chips and a drink. According to posted prices, the kids meal should have been $5.50 including the chips added on, and the hot sub regular was $8. Make that a combo with chips and a drink and it takes it to $11. So total with tax should have been around $16. We were charged $22 and not given a receipt. We only realized looking at menu prices while we ate. With the line so long, going back to get a refund wouldn't have been worth it. Either a mistake or they aren't charging their stated prices, but an $8 up charge is a pretty hefty mistake. I went in today and the place was completely filthy, the floors behind the counter where the sandwiches are being made, was completely repulsive. One of the workers went into the restroom and took off his apron, laid it down on a table (used for customers) along with a dirty table rag, until he was finished using the restroom. Love this place! The owners are super nice and their employees are really customer oriented. They wear gloves and actually take them off to ring the cash register! Super clean! And super fresh! Now the food! I get a turkey provolone, Mikes way , add a LITTLE mayo, and pepperchinis. The best sandwich ever! Get the Giant, and split with your family! That's the best price way to go. They donate to the community which I really like too! I wish they would start delivery service though. It would be a nice delivery alternative to pizza. I'm reluctant to write a unfavorable review but I'm dismayed by the customer service here. I'm giving 2 stars because the sandwich was pretty good but the wait staff was rude and impatient. I mentioned that I'd never been in a jersey mikes before, and didn't know how to order, what sizes were, actually (say in inches) etc. additionally there is a glass barrier that prevents easy ability to understand what this guy was saying - he mumbled so that contributed. I was first waited on by a girl who asked what sizes I wanted but she did hold the bread up for me to see. I was then handed off to a young guy and he just couldn't be bothered with my confusion over how to order! I thought he said "do u want this microwaved" when what he actually said was "do u want it mikes way." When I asked him to put jalapeños on, he was definitely irritated. I live in Leisure Village, a complex with over 2100 homes and we communicate things like this! I don't want to go back but I might try again, I'll see if they bother to respond to these concerns. this place became my favorite sandwich place. Much better than Subway. It reminds me of delis in Spain. The food is fresh, fast, healthy, and really really good. I love the Turkey and Italian sandwiches. I love that they even know my order now hehehe. I came in this evening and had a big order. I was greeted nicely and was told they were working on a big call-in order and it might be awhile, I said ok. Next thing you know, 8 more people walked in, and I feel for these guys because I work in the food industry myself, and the same thing happens to me during my closing shift, just me and one other person and sometimes it gets poppin'! Anyway, these guys kept their cool and took care of business! I got home with my 4 sandwiches for me and my family, and everything was awesome! Same great taste I remember years ago from the one in mid-Simi! I just wanted to hand it to these guys for keeping their cool and delivering the goods right! Then when it's my turn to be rung up after standing in line for 25 mins, some lady comes to the register to order and they took it! Hello there is a line and you just let this customer cut in front of all these people who had been waiting already! The cashier Vanessa didn't say anything or show her where the line starts. The manager with a red shirt with FAITH tattooed on her knuckles didn't address the situation either. Why is she even there when it clearly can be a free for all. I have made my last visit to Jersey Mike's on Santa Rosa Rd. It seems every time I go in there I get young people who can't smile, can't say thank you and who seem to hate their job. I ordered pastrami hold the sauerkraut, got home there was so little pastrami on the sandwich all I could taste was the bread and PS there was no cheese.
