I come here at least two days a week. The quality of your service is based pretty much on what time of the day you come. Their night team seems to be when they have more new employees, so the service is usually a bit slower. Also, more customers tend to order hot sandwiches at night, which takes longer to make, which affects your wait time. The reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars: - Sometimes employees forget to ask if I want the slicer wiped down when ordering the veggie sandwich. They should ALWAYS ask (and the answer is always yes). - When I ask for "easy vinegar and oil," that means EASY. They normally put way too much on, even when I ask for a small amount. They need to practice what an easy application is. - They often forget to put the bacon on when I order a club sandwich. I have to remind them before they wrap the sandwich up. - I don't like how if I'm the only person in the store, they try to ring me up and get me to pay while my sandwich is still being made. I have to keep a close eye on my order to make sure it's not screwed up - don't distract me by ringing me up! It sounds like I'm nitpicking, but these are problems I come across just about every time I'm in the store (which is often). So why did I still get 4 stars? The employees! They're almost always in a good mood (even if they are really slow at building sandwiches). This location gets A TON of older citizens (because of its proximity to Leisure Village) and they can be a pain to deal with. The employees are always eager to get your order made, even when the line is long. Jersey Mike's is my go-to when I want something fast and tasty. Yes, it's more expensive than Subway, but it's much tastier and the quality of meats is not even comparable. read more

ehhh...I don't get the appeal here. It's a sub like any other. Sure they slice the meat fresh in front of you, which is awesome, but the sandwich itself lacked flavor. And yes, I got it 'Mikes Way' so it should have had flavor. The bread had way too much cornmeal on the bottom-its supposed to act as a non-stick agent, its not supposed to be cornbread. I have just come from the Santa Rosa Jersey Mike's shop. First I ordered a tuna sandwich and the lady instantly put peperjack cheese on it. It was pretty busy so I don't say anything until I got to check out. I asked if peperjack was automatic on tuna when the lady shouted that's what I had asked for! I never said anything about what cheese I even wanted. I'm glad I had a coupon otherwise they would have made it over. Next time I'm driving to the Lantana store. read more

My wife and I came in late and AJ and Brendan were the employees who helped us. By far the most care and precision I've ever seen anyone take in putting together a sandwich! Fool me twice.... this is what you get for giving the benefit of the doubt. Ordered online last Sunday and stopped by 15 minutes later (as instructed). There was a line but I went to the register (as instructed) and asked for my sandwich. I was told that it was not yet ready - they were backed up. OK, understood. After waiting 10 more minutes as I watched them take new orders, make sandwiches and check them out, I wandered to the sandwich making area and there was a half made sandwich with my order form laying on top of it. It continued to sit there as more people came in, got in line and placed their orders. Now 15 minutes have gone by and they made every sandwich for every customer that came in after me before even looking at mine. I finally had to ask the girl to please finish my sandwich and she said she was making others as well. I finally insisted that they complete my sandwich that had been ordered a half hour earlier and they reluctantly agreed. When I tried to explain why I was upset, they literally stared at the counter or the floor and would not respond. No apology, nothing. This is the second time this exact same thing has happened at this location - 2 out of 2, and the manager (the first time) could care less. Go to the Lantana location - they are great! This place suffers from poor management, poor training and zombie employees. read more

The guy that I ordered my sandwiches with was nice enough but that's when the experience took a turn. The "fresh" produce looked like it had been sitting out for hours, the tomatoes were warm and sitting in a pool of their own juices, the lettuce was warm and wilted too. The girl who put on my toppings had to easily be the most unenthusiastic employee I have ever encountered, she barely spoke and made the sandwiches improperly. All the while the manager is standing around not doing much and cracking jokes with the cashier. After I finished paying I had to literally reach over the counter to grab my sandwiches and chips because the cashier was too lazy to hand me my subs (which were next to the register where he was standing). Confused service behind the counter. Ordered a sub, paid the Cashier. Received no receipt. I look back at the line to make sure what items are going in my sub, I see a lots of unwanted items. It seems to have gotten confused with somebody else's order. They start over with the person in line BEHIND me. My sub is stripped and discarded. The three people on counter staff focuses entirely on the customer behind me. Paid money, got no product. Never again at Jersey Mikes. Went in 20 minutes before close and the staff just glared at me. I said I would leave if they were unhappy to serve me and they asked for my order. Glared at me while they made the sandwich silently. By this point it was uncomfortable. I get it if I cam in right before close but 20 minutes is more than enough time. I really like the sandwiches here. The cheesesteaks are pretty good. All the other "subs" are good too. But what I don't get is the customer service. We usually come here at night. The chairs are always stacked up outside and it makes it look like its closed. Last night it was raining and the floor mat when you walk in was rolled up. Being the only person in there I thought it was closed. The employees weren't too friendly on this visit. I got that funny feeling I was "that guy" that walked in when they didn't feel like working. It was 7:30 I thought they closed at 9. After i ordered I watched one employee throw an empty box of gloves to another employees feet for her to pick up along with a smart ass comment. While he was waiting for my other sub to be done he was flipping his knife around. Then took his sweet time with one hand trying to put on avocado. No sense of urgency ( I wasn't in a hurry) but hit seemed he was moving slow on purpose. Customer service is a huge part of my experience. I love the subs but also wanted to be treated with respect too only if it's for a few minutes. read more

First time at this location and what a TERRIBLE experience!! Ordered two regular subs and one was half the size of the other. When I asked if they could fix the smaller sub, they got out a ruler and said no! OMG! A ruler?!! Seriously?!! They had to bring out the manager who also measured and refused to fix it! She could care less of the scene she was creating in front of other customers who were waiting in line. How embarrassing! I said why are you arguing with the customer?! I normally love going to Jersey Mike's and the service is always top notch at other locations but I will NEVER return to this location again! What happened to the customer is always right? Love Jersey Mikes subs but I had a really bad experience at this location today. I ordered online in advance - one large sub, nothing else. When I arrived I told the cashier that I was picking up - she said "I will be with you in a minute". So, I sat down. After watching several people come in, order and then leave I asked the cashier when my sandwich would be ready. She asked me again what I had ordered. The manager (she seemed to be in charge), came to the register and said I must have the wrong location because they did not have my order. When I insisted I HAD ordered for this location, she checked again and found it. She turned to the cashier and said "it just came through, there is nothing you could have done", and walked away. I got my sandwich, but never a sorry for all of the inconvenience. Seems the manager was more interested in making sure the cashier didn't feel bad than the satisfaction of her customers. I am glad there is another Jersey Mikes in Camarillo - they are much more professional and service friendly. Update - within 24 hours of posting this review I received a voicemail from the store manager. She apologized and offered a free sandwich next time I am in. I appreciate the follow up! read more
