Love the variety of fun stuff you can get here. Lots to look at and browse through. Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it just wasn't anything special. Too much bread to meat ratio. Maybe that's my fault, they do offer different bread options so I won't completely fault them on that. I could have ordered wrong honestly. I'd be willing to try something else in the future. Food was fresh, especially the bread. Service was okay, my sandwich came up and instead of the guy just grabbing it and handing it to me, he just pointed at it and said it was ready. Little awkward and not very customer service oriented. I wasn't to upset, just thought it was weird. Great drink selection here, even had some things I haven't see before. Oddly enough you can even get some CBD seltzers here if that's what you are into. At the end of the day I'd try it again just to compare.

Glad I was told to go here! Good service, good food and good prices! Definitely will go back!

End piece of the tomato in the sandwich. I just took it out and threw it away.

Tried the deli for the first time. The bread is a ciabatta which was a little dense so I didn't like that but that's more of a preference thing. Good amount of deli meat in the sandwich. The only negative is that I got an end piece of tomato I had the #19 which is a classic chicken. As you can see from the photo, the bread is a bit on the thick side. It had deli chicken, prosciutto, avocado and sweet peppers. I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich and maybe a different bread if they have that. The manager or owner was very polite and The sandwich was made quickly. The rest of the market is full of wine and snacks and frozen goods

Great staff and I can always find snacks, water, alcohol and other staples when I run out and don't feel like going to Albertsons.

To me, that is what pound cake is supposed to be: simple, flavorful, comforting, and made with care. LEMON IN THE TITLE (NO SO MUCH IN THE CAKE) Unfortunately, the lemon pound cake I purchased today for over $15 did not come close to that standard. The color, flavor, and dense, bready interior all pointed to a missed opportunity. I was especially disappointed that the lemon flavor lacked brightness. There was no real sense of lemon zest in the cake or icing, which is what gives a lemon pound cake its character and lift. ICING - EPIC UNDERPERFORMANCE The icing also fell flat. Instead of tasting like a thoughtful glaze or cream cheese-style icing infused with lemon, it came across more like powdered sugar and water sitting on top of the cake. It checked the box visually, but it did not enliven the cake or the senses. NO FUTURE SALE HERE (UNLESS THE PRODUCT IMPROVES) For $15, I should have been excited to come back for another one and maybe pick one up for a friend. Sadly, that was not the case. I would love to see this store put more care into honoring the pound cake tradition with excellence, because pound cake lovers know the difference.

I don't know how they keep all these ingredients in stock and keep the quality so high and the service so good and still send me home with leftovers! My friends and I were in town for an event in Thousand Oaks and looked up a deli. This was one of the choices, so if we went to discover what could be discovered. Low and behold, we were very pleasantly surprised by the variety and the quality and the service. Maria was our server and she was amazing and I can't tell you how she made the experience that much more positive because every answer to our questions were yes, and I'm sure we can do that. She brought out some bagel chips and ranch dressing and pickles to start with and Man if that doesn't wet your whistle and make you want to order everything, you're not doing it right. We ordered a variety of things a couple of Ortega corned beef sandwiches and a turkey sandwich and a pastrami sandwich. We paid for our orders and then landed in the bakery area upfront. Of course, all of us had to take a little something home to our husband's because we were feeling quite plump and satisfied to not share the experience with our spouses. We walked away with some blueberry pie and an eclair and some muffins and quite a bit more. We're already planning our next trip. We will be there this weekend. And as we sit here, midweek, contemplating all of the delicious options we can take advantage of, we are trying to convince ourselves whether we should go there on Thursday and Friday and Saturday while we are in town. What a delicious dilemma to have heads off to the people that run this place and make sure that the quality still goes. To be honest with you, someone wrote in another review that they were surprised at this place wasn't busy. I hope this review gets out there and people figure out what they need to do... They need to get off their butts and go to pickles deli. I promise you you won't be disappointed! Bring friends, so you can try a little bit of everything! And then plan another trip because you won't be able to try everything! Hot soft to Maria again for being super amazing!

The portions are large, but sometimes the quality versus quantity just isn't there. I've only been a handful of times, but on one visit we almost walked out because the customer service took a very long time. It took at least 30 minutes before we were even acknowledged after being seated, and that was only after I asked for water. The day we waited, it also seemed rather empty with maybe 2 other tables, which made the delay even more noticeable. I also feel like it's a bit too expensive for what you're getting, and compared to competitors it doesn't feel worth it right now. I am open to coming back in the future to try it again.

Unfortunately upon walking in I was informed they ran out of giftcards. Definitely a bummer that at the height of the holiday season they aren't stocked and lost some easy money. Also inconvenient for me as I had to run to another store. Lastly, I appreciate when businesses put a sign on the front door that they are out of something, I understand they don't have to do this, but I've seen other businesses do it and it's really helpful. For example, a sign saying "systems are down cash only" or "out of gift cards", etc. It would've just been nice to know before I went inside and ordered the sandwich because had I known upfront that they didn't have the gift cards I would have waited to ordered food at their other location. Hence docking a star. Otherwise this isn't a bad location and it's definitely clean inside and they serve up a classic tasty sub sandwich. Staff have always been friendly here and nice overall. The gal that made my sandwich today was a good active listener and crafted my sandwich to perfection. Truly jersey mikes are a super solid sub! I love the fresh sliced deli meat and the toppings. Bread is always fresh which is a must. Overall the sandwiches here are 5 stars in my books for a chain sandwich spot. Other comments are just that this location is pretty small. It's a bit cramped inside and when you come during rush hours it can feel a little squished. I keep in mind to come to this location before the rush, otherwise I go closer to home to one of their more spacious properties. If you're not dining in it's not a big deal but just worth noting because even today with myself and another customer inside it feels crowded. Happy to at least have this option when I'm on this side of town. Nice staff, clean facilities and a good bite.

I love a good Italian sub and remembered that this place is in Camarillo and decided to get them through DoorDash one day. My review unfortunately has to leave out customer service and atmosphere as I didn't go inside. I will say they are a great spot to order from as their delivery is A+. My order was all made to order correctly and packaged nicely for the transport. Easy peasy if you want a sub and some sides to go. I would rate the food overall 4 stars and was happy with my meal. -I started with the Italian sub which was a solid 4.5/5. The bread was soft and fresh. The Italian cold cuts were loaded up and it was a generous sandwich. Loved the sides and dressings. Lots of good sandwich shops in Camarillo and this one should definitely be added to your list. -Macaroni salad is a solid 5/5! I saw my friend Jess B. Gave their macaroni salad a rave review so I had to order it. It was in fact delicious and I'll go back here again just to grab some sides of this. Super tasty and if you like a mayo based macaroni salad this one was so good. -Personal preference, skip on the deviled eggs. I like a more mayo forward deviled egg and these were heavy mustard forward. Some people will like that and then maybe these are for you. I just felt like the filling lacked a creaminess that I like and since I don't love mustard I wouldn't get them again. I know deviled eggs are a labor of love so I do appreciate them having these on their menu. Lombardos was a solid 4/5 in my book as the sandwich was delicious and I'd definitely come back for that macaroni salad. I need to check them out in person next time.
