Stopped in for a late lunch at Urbane Cafe. Henry helped us out was provided stellar customer service. We placed our order to go and Henry was professional, patient and caring. We both ordered sandwiches. My wife had the chicken sandwich with a cold water and I had the turkey with brie and cranberry. We also ordered two chocolate chip cookies. Ample parking (in fact there are ow Tesla Superchargers in the attached parking lot!!!) Staff is very friendly. Order at the counter and they bring the food to you as soon as it is ready. I went with the Santa Maria BBQ Chicken salad ($12.75). Loaded with BBQ chicken,Applewood smoked bacon, crumbled goat cheese, corn, and black bean salsa, and grape tomatoes. It's in a little cluster with Baja Fresh, a ramen spot, and a bunch of other places, and it was kinda busy. Guess everyone's working off the holidays. The menu is mostly lighter sandwiches and salads. I got the keto Cobb with chicken. The lettuce was great--fresh and dry, which matters. We also tried the portobello sandwich and it was solid. Great location for a healthy bite. I've been to this location a couple times and have had a great experience for each. The food was fresh, prepared as you would expect it and delivered to the table in less than 10 minutes. It's also perfectly situated just off the 101, away from the traffic of the bigger shopping centers so you can get in pretty quickly. If you have a crowd of people, you could also have each person choose from the neighboring ramen restaurant, Habit Grill or Baja Fresh and then sit outside together. Being a somewhat regular customer of this establishment and someone who enjoys their food. My experience this evening was not ideal. My wife and I ordered our food in person (to go), paid and then waited just a bit for our food to be prepared. So far so good. When we arrived home, I discovered that my tri-tip pastrami sandwich was missing the very delicious mustard sauce. All of our sandwiches were perfectly delicious except mine was missing a portion of its normally delicious flavor. WTF!", how hard is it to put a little cup of deliciousness in with the sandwich. About 25% of the time we order takeout or delivery, one or more items are missing! My daughter found this place on Yelp. She showed me the menu with photos of the food and every item looked really good. The cafe was on the other side of the freeway which was perfect after shopping the outlet. There is ample parking and the cafe is located in the corner near the entrance. The outside of the cafe had a seating area under some trees. Inside had a few tables and it was very clean. The ambience was very peaceful and pleasant. The cashier was nice and patience as we took our time to make our selection. After paying, she gave us a stand with our order number on a card that we placed on the table. Our food came out within 5 minutes or so. The food looked so fresh and was beautifully assembled. I had the Santa Rosa BBQ salad. I thought it was just a typical bbq salad but this salad was exceptional. All of the ingredients were great but the chicken was amazing. The chicken had a lot of flavor and it was thinly sliced.
