I ordered the tuna salad on wheat with a side of bow tie pasta salad, and my husband got the club. Every bite was delicious, honestly, dare I say perfect. It was exactly what I was craving. And I wasn't planning on getting the soup, but I saw on the menu that if it was the soup of the day then the Salmon Chowder would be priced differently. And Salmon Chowder is probably my favorite soup of all time. However when we asked, the soup was Butternut Squash which was a good one too. We got a round of 4 Butternut Squash soups for the table lol. I just got the cup and I loved it. And the bread too! I wish I had another slice because I finished that in a couple bites. Anyways the soup was so delightful, it was so cozy and great. I loved the added nuts sprinkled on top, it gave a nice texture with the soup. I feel like with Butternut Squash, people have their preferences about savory and sweet soups and sometimes Butternut Squash tends to be more sweet. The person behind the counter, I think the owner, made small talk with us, gave us recommendations for the area and asked where we were from. We ended up taking a few of his recommendations for the day and even a drive away from the area that led to a scenic drive. The burgers were amazing. A thick, homemade formed patty of beef with like a half an inch of fresh tasty pimento cheese topped with lettuce, mustard, pickles, and fresh onion. We skipped the tomato. The burger was juicy. The pimento cheese was really good on its own and the combination of toppings was delicious. The potato salad had great flavor with nice chunks of potato and fresh ingredients. The food was so good that we ended up going back for pizza. again, friendly staff and the pizza was a really good thin crust pizza with plenty of toppings, zesty sauce, and sweet cheese, all piled on in-house made dough that though that was hand rolled. We went home with there no bake homemade cheesecake with cherries on top and their banana pudding. The sweet and sour cherries paired greatly with the smooth creamy cheesiness of the cheesecake, filling on top of a tasty graham cracker crust. Banana pudding was a nice consistency with good flavor. Both desserts were huge.
