They're supposedly giving Seniors a 10% discount; When i questioned the server where is my 10% discount, he said, they don't give 10% on the total bill. We were told that the register only allows 10% on only the smallest item ordered; Which in my case amounted to a discount of .28 cents on a total bill of $29.92; Thus i will never set foot in any jersey mike's subs. Nice to see that there is more competition in the sandwich game then just subway. Jersey Mike's is a more upscale sandwich joint with more fresh meat and bread to adorn their tasty creations. I visited today during the lunch time rush, I agree with what others have said it's a tad small inside the shop but luckily i had my sandwich to go. The crew was friendly but the wait was a tad long considering how many folks they have on staff, perhaps it takes a while to get in the groove. She also kept looking at my daughter who is biracial and was whispering something to her co workers. By the looks of their faces what she said wasn't polite as they both kept staring at my kid in some type of disgust. How do I know? They have the best meats and bread for their sandwiches. A good variety of sandwiches, chips and different types of drinks. Very friendly, every time I was there. As for the COVID-19, they are slower then normal in making the sandwiches because of the 6 foot problem. When i walked in the other day i wasn't sure of what to get since it was my first time here. Thankfully, the staff gave me recommendations and helped me decide on the original Italian (apparently their most popular sub). Everyone was super nice, and even though i went during a lunch rush, they really took care of me swiftly. I decided to give it another try later on and i ordered a 43. WOW! Amazing customer service for such a busy busy store! I have Celiac Disease and am IN LOVE with how well Jersey Mike's takes the time to use extra precautions to keep me safe from cross contamination. They are also doing an amazing job with the COVID situation, especially for a Saturday at lunch time. Very organized and I felt each employee working together amazingly. BIG shoutout to the amaaaaazing DEAN! I placed an order through postmates and got a notification that two sandwiches required substitutions but the postmate app didn't tell me what the store was out of. So I called, a girl answered, asked my name after I explained the situation. She put me on hold and came back on the line and told me they were running low on avocado. I explained I was fine with the two sandwiches not having avocado, but didn't see anywhere in the postmate app where I could just have the order go through without the avocado. She then is talking to some man in the background and he says they can do it with the avocado but it's going to be awhile until they have a chance to go in the back and make it so I would need to cancel the order and re-order in a little bit. I would have been fine with this, except the young lady relaying this to me proceeds to tell me they are short on manpower and even this call is taking up too much of their time because they are busy (verbatim)... I was appalled. The order was around $50 and I'm taking too much of your time with literally 2 minute phone call trying to get dinner for my family. I just cancelled the order and placed an order with another sandwich shop. I really like Jersey Mikes, but clearly customer service is not your priority so I will not be back - through visits to the storefront or by using a delivery service. Update: The owner of this location just contacted me by phone and apologized and offered to make things right. I was very impressed with him reaching out so quickly to address and remedy the situation. He has already discussed the matter with the employees at the store and I certainly appreciated his personable attention to this matter. We love our local Jersey Mike's and we were craving a delicious sandwich so we located this one near our hotel. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The food was okay, typical, no complaints. However, be ware if you order from Grubhub and don't know the menu in advance. I ordered 4 sandwiches, 2 looked like they had meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato. However, they also came with onion and oil and vinegar, which I was unaware of, so the kids they were ordered for would not eat them. Not sure if they had mustard and mayo, they were pretty wet. I wish restaurants would tell you on the menu what comes standard. Especially for younger kids and people with allergies. It always sucks to pay for food that is going to go to waste. The chipotle cheesesteak tasted wasn't spicy AT ALL, but tasted pretty much like American 'Cheese'. My husband enjoyed his Italian, the other two went to waste. *** UPDATE *** added an extra Star because the manager contacted me about the two sandwiches that we had to waste, and offered to make it right, that's always a plus. They are such in a rush that they don't know what goes on what and you have to tell them to slow down and get your order correct. We have tried 3 times now, once I even called back to let them know- hey this isn't right.. she said she made it herself, and its good. ( I've been ordering the same for 2 years ) it was not right.
