As a returning customer placing my second order, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer service. As the food the first time was amazing. I was prepared to spend $77 on this order, and the least I expected was the professional courtesy of a phone call to explain the situation and offer an apology, even if the staff was busy or unable to fulfill the order. Simply canceling an order without any communication demonstrates a strong lack of respect for customers and their time. Because of how this was handled, I will not be returning, nor can I recommend this establishment to others. Strong customer service is about communication and accountability, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations.

I highly recommend the tuna sandwich. It's seasoned perfectly and generously filled with tuna. The greens are always piled high. Shredded carrots, spinach leaves, and more sprouts than you'd think possible. It's healthy and DELICIOUS. I usually add avocado, and the sandwich with avocado comes out to $13.75, which is a great deal for Waikiki. Oh! and you get a little skewer of two pineapple slices! It's cute, refreshing, and perfectly ripe every time. The last smoothie I ordered was the Avocado Green Island. It's made with mango, avocado, spinach, banana, greek yogurt, and coconut milk. It's creamy, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. I've also tried their chicken salad sandwich (money!) and my favorite, the Captain Salad. I recommend getting it with Caesar dressing. The brand of ranch they use isn't really my thing. They also have a homemade balsamic vinagarette that sounds amazing. The salad is huge, topped with turkey and generous crumbles of bacon. I'm telling you, they're serving hit after hit after hit at this spot. Go and enjoy ASAP!

I've visited all the JM locations on this island and this one has the others beat hands down!! Yes they seem to have some young folks there but the main thing that stands out at this location is the management! You can tell that Freddie the store manager and kool jay I think his name is,really has this location put together. Their customer service is second to none and you can tell the way they interact with their employees and customers that their heart is in it. One of them finally called the boss, who told them to make a 6-inch sandwich without giving me the juice and apple Go-Gurt -- like I was getting some kind of a deal with that extra 2 inches of bread and lettuce. I also ordered a cookie separately, and they refused to give it to me because I was getting the 6-inch instead of the 4 inch. Seriously? Then they actually scolded me for ordering through the Subway app and said, "Don't order through the app next time." Just terrible how they treat their customers!

The take out windows are usually empty, honestly ive only ever seen one person besides myself walk up and order. So i guess, pro tip...if you're in the area just walk up. Its super fast, employees are always super friendly and its tasty to boot.

They also have breakfast, but I never have time to order from them. Steak fried Saimin Plate - 5 stars - for a really cheap price, I love their fried saimin with a few pieces of steak. Depending on the crowd, this plate comes out fast, and fills me up for lunch. Service - fast when no crowd, but sometimes can be 15 minutes if there's a line. Cashier is polite, more like a small family business. Credit cards are accepted, and social distancing is usually adhered to.

It's not far from Iolani Palace and it's next door to "Baker Dudes" which is next door to "Ma'ona Musbi" I had just came from a meeting with colleges at Iolani Palace which was why I bought my lunch here. I had been here before and it was a different plate I ordered. That was during a different meeting also. During the Christmas parade and a chicken Katsu plate... Today I ordered a Korean Kalbi plate with toss green only and no rice.... I still paid the price if I had ordered it with rice. The plates are huge! The Service is very quick and very fast they have one Cook in the kitchen who cooks very fast.I would have to say that when I finally had gotten my plate I carried it to my work cause I wasn't more than a 15min walk there... and my food was still hot. The thing that was perhaps a little bad was how tough it was to bite through the meat I then had to cut the rest of my Meal up first before consuming. It was still delicious. I'll go back o may not order the Kalbi cause it was tough to bite through.
