Weak meat portions at this location. Also, why do you get three pieces of cheese on a regular but five pieces of cheese on a giant? Doesn't make sense. Also, why do they always ask if you want it Mikes way when they are slicing the meat but by the time they start putting the toppings on they already forgot what you said? Happens every time. Just a message to the manager to tell the kids working to use their words. The hi and then just a head nod and stare at the customer to give their order is not hospitality. The next girl putting on the condiments did the same stare at me while pointing at my sandwich this apparently meant - would you like this mikes way OR maybe what can I put on your sandwich today OR just any words at all. I know the young people need help in conversation skills but you're working with the human public and talking and engaging with your customer is still very important. I usually come in on a Sunday night, and last Sunday, May 4th, was a much better experience compared to all my previous visits. The black guy, I'm not sure what his name I, but he was very excited about helping me and running the team. I enjoy talking to him, and I usually come in a little after 8 since my class ended at 8 sharp. The previous time was alright, it was a different person who helped me, and they seemed like they didn't even want to be there, even in the previous week before May 4th. Orders a giant #9 on wheat, with banana peppers and light mayo and when I get home it's on white bread, no banana peppers and their normal amount of mayo. Today on 3/29/23 at 4:40pm some of the employees were not wearing hairnets or hats. Unfortunately my wife works in food service and we immediately walked out after she saw some employees not wearing hairnets. She mentioned it's regulated that employees wear hairnets. Without a doubt, the best, freshest breads and crisp fresh peppers and onions are always cooked to perfection at this location. This location for some odd reason seems to put less meat on their sandwiches than many of their other locations. Ordered the Californian and it came with a light coating of avocado (they should just call it a spread) as it wasn't actual pieces of avocado. The turkey was paper thin and not much turkey at all. The sandwich specialist tried to pop half a piece of bacon on my sandwich and I told him he can do better than that. It's weird there is so much variance from one Jersey Mike's to another, as it shouldn't be the case. The meat is always cut fresh which is one of the things I love the most about eating here. I do wish the bread was baked fresh every day, but I guess with this business model it's just not possible. Even their brownies are frozen and thawed each morning. If you want super fresh baked bread it will just have to be C'est Si Bon in Newport Beach. read more

Been to this location quite a few times solely out of convenience. I'd say you have about a 50% chance of getting a decent sandwich from here. In 2/4 of my last trips here, the sandwiches were soggy out of the bag. And not because of the preparers putting oil/vinegar on the sandwich, but because they apparently don't clean their work stations and they lay the sandwiches on top of the cutting board drenched in oil/vinegar/other liquids without wiping. This is on top of them only sometimes answering the phone for orders. Then I walk in and it's not even busy (most of the tables are clear and hardly anyone in line) so I don't know the issue behind the lack of phone answering. It all wouldn't be as bad if this all occurred with a decent priced sandwich. But for nearly $50 for 2 large sandwiches, I can go to a non large chain sandwich shop and get 2 large sandwiches and fries/drink for the same price. Positives are that the place seems pretty clean if you decide to eat there. read more

For years, literally since this location opened, I have been a loyal customer. As a vegetarian they have always sliced my cheese on a clean cutter. But today, a new manager named James said that he couldn't do that and would clean off the meat covered slicer up front. He cleaned it, I still saw meat and and I cancelled my order. Too bad. Subs were fine and service was decent, but when it came time to pay they said they couldn't accept gift cards this week. What?! WiFi was down, so for the week they couldn't accept them as payment? Seemed odd and I was frustrated because they could have put up a sign or something stating this so patrons know in advance. The reason I went there was because I had gift cards I was looking forward to using. When I asked to speak with the manager just to state my point about a sign or something, the cashier said they can't do anything about it not working instead of just getting him/her.
