Woodys diner is a hidden little gem in the Orange County area . It's located in a large shopping center so parking isn't an issue ! The outside of the restaurant and in the inside reminds me of beach vibes. Once you enter the restaurant you are greeted by the most friendliest workers which is always a plus The service is good no complains they were very accommodating ! The food to be honest fell kind of flat nothing really stood out however the vibes were very good. Overall not bad check them out fam!

Mother's Day is for taking out the moms... it is obvious that this is a tradition not to be broken.... The lines are unbearable in the morning at any of your favorite restaurants. We decided to do a 5pm dinner when the crowds have subsided. Woody's Diner was a pleasure and the two moms with me appreciated the calm world. Makenzie served us well thru out our experience. Woody's Diner was almost empty as we ordered our meals. The lovely missus has a big plate of the roasted Turkey Dinner. So much food strategy she asked for a container. The lovely daughter also ordered turkey, but it is a Cali Turkey Croissant. That was a good looking sandwich and she save the big half for later. My eyes were affixed on the usually served at breakfast called Loco Moco. Oh that was a winner with two eggs on top of burger patty over rice (could use an extra scoop) and then drizzled with a nice brown gravy. I ate it all. But wait, it is Mother's Day and we have to get some sweets. We found the Peach Cobbler, with or without the vanilla ice cream but you get a hood squirter amount of whipped cream on top. Woody's Diner was a good choice for celebrating Mother's Day.

I had to leave a review for my favorite bartender/server at Woody's, Bernice, because she truly makes every visit so much better. From the moment you walk in, she greets you with the sweetest energy and the most genuine, beautiful smile--it instantly sets the tone for the whole experience. Her customer service is honestly top-tier. She's so attentive, fast, and efficient, but never makes you feel rushed. She somehow manages to stay on top of everything while still being super personable and kind, which is rare. On top of that, her recommendations are always spot on--whether it's drinks or food, she just knows what's good. You can tell she really cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Woody's is lucky to have her, and she's a big reason I keep coming back. If you get the chance to be served by her, you're in great hands!

Picture of website showing Saturday happy hour

Website says happy hour on sat/sun from 4-close. Drove over and get told they changed it months ago but no one updates website. Makes it hard to visit if what is listed on website is wrong. No employee seemed to care just said sorry we rarely update website you can come back tomorrow. I attached website photo showing happy hour times. I don't think I've ever been blown off by employees like this before too.

This is one of my favorite chicken salad with peanuts and wonton strips . So delish and great family ambiance and friendly service. Breakfast items are great too and if you're near Brookhurst and Adam's in HB check them out .

A small surf themed diner on Highway 1 in Huntington Beach/Sunset Beach, very close to the water. I live in West Los Angeles, so this area is a lot calmer and less crowded than what I am used to so it's nice to be able to find easy parking and no lines. It's right next-door to Harbor House Café, which is also a surf themed diner and between the two I would say that Harbor House is my favorite although Woody's is another good option, especially if Harbor House is full. There are many Woody's locations, I believe at least six and none are in the Los Angeles area. They are all in Orange County, this being the most northern one. Our waiter was nice, but the service was very slow. He took a while to take our orders and our food items came out pretty slowly. He also forgot my coffee and gave it to everyone else around me before me, even though I ordered before them, and by the time I inquired about it, they had to brew another batch so I had to wait even longer. They have a tiny parking lot on the side of the restaurant otherwise it's pretty easy to find free street parking. For my breakfast I ordered my favorite breakfast dish, which is the Eggs Benedict. I decided to try the Woody's Benedict, which is basically a regular Benedict with cheese and gravy. I honestly thought it was pretty good and it was extremely filling. The biscuits weren't very flaky or as good as I hoped, but I still enjoyed them. They tasted a bit like microwave biscuits versus something very fluffy and crispy. Overall, a nice little surf theme diner in North Orange County. I would recommend if you are in the area.

Chicken Fried Steak, eggs, hash browns.

I came here last Sunday 6/1/25 for breakfast with friends. Originally we were planning to have ramen for lunch but it was to hot for that. We settled on getting breakfast and my friend recommended Woody's Dinner. I have never been but Woody's has been on my to do list. We were promptly seated and waited a bit for our server to come. It was the lunch rush and the place was packed with guests. Both my friends ordered the Woody's Super Spuds which were basically hashbrowns with variety of toppings. I got the chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, hashbrown, biscuit and gray with Dr. Pepper to drink. The food came out promptly and was delicious. Even though the servers were overwhelmed with guests all of them did a wonderful job. I appreciated their service because I personally know it isn't easy. I would definitely return and recommend.

Woody's Diner is such a hidden gem -- classic, cozy, and exactly what you want in a diner experience. I stopped in for brunch and ordered the veggie omelette, which was absolutely packed with flavor. The vegetables were fresh and sautéed just right, and the eggs were fluffy without being too heavy. It came with a generous side of hash browns and toast, and everything was cooked to perfection. I also couldn't resist trying the fried zucchini, and I'm so glad I did -- they were crispy, golden, and not greasy at all. You could tell they were made fresh and not just tossed from a freezer bag. They paired perfectly with the dipping sauce and honestly could've been a meal on their own. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere felt laid-back and welcoming -- like the kind of place locals love and keep coming back to. Whether you're looking for a solid breakfast, a casual lunch, or just some really good comfort food, Woody's delivers every time. I'll definitely be coming back!

    Kids hot dog

I used to love Woody's but it seems to have slowly been going downhill. We sat on the patio as it was empty. Due to allowing dogs it was full of floating dog hair. Perhaps there were dogs right before I got there but they definitely need to sweep more often. My kid had a kids meal hot dog which came in a cool 67 Camaro car box. Unfortunately my Kid said the hot dog was "greasy and burnt," and had a hard time finishing it despite being hungry. The other 2 people in my party got the California grilled chicken sandwich. I took a bite of it, it tasted funky, something was off. That night my stomach was upset but my wife got sick as she finished the sandwich thinking it was fine. As for the crispy fries, they remain some of the best I've ever had and added a star to my review. While the Root-beer float was massive and delicious. Service was quick, on point, but seemingly impatient. It was a "I got a lot of tables hurry it up" feel to the service. Nothing was wrong with the order aside from forgetting a side of ranch, but service seemed lacking. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

He double-checked with the kitchen to make sure my meal was safe, removed anything I couldn't have, and even gave me some great recommendations. That level of care meant a lot to me. We were a pretty large party, and somehow every single order came out exactly as requested. There were no mix-ups, nothing was forgotten, and our waters were constantly being refilled without us even having to ask. Our waiter was truly on top of everything. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the steak cooked medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly with amazing flavor. One of my friends let me try a bite of her salmon, and oh my goodness...it was so good! I already know that's what I'll be ordering the next time I come back. The mocktails were also fantastic and paired really well with the meal. The restaurant itself was spotless, including the restrooms, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The purple cocktail was one of the most unique drinks I've had in a long time--light, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. The presentation with the charred pineapple was such a cool touch that made it feel like they really care about every detail. The second cocktail was just as impressive, with bright citrus flavors that were incredibly refreshing and perfect for a warm Huntington Beach evening. The atmosphere at Jolie deserves just as much praise as the drinks. Sitting outside during golden hour with the ocean just down the street made for the perfect setting. Whether you're on a date, catching up with friends, or just looking to unwind after work, this place has an amazing vibe. The staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in, and you can tell they genuinely want everyone to have a great experience. Jolie has officially become one of my favorite spots in Huntington Beach. It's rare to find a place that nails the drinks, the atmosphere, and the service all at the same time, but they absolutely delivered. I already can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the cocktail menu because if these two drinks are any indication, I'm in for a treat. Huge shoutout to the entire team--you've earned a customer for life!

We also checked out the rooftop afterward. It's mostly tables and lounge seating, but the ocean view from up there is definitely worth seeing. I ordered the lobster roll ($32.50). Unfortunately, there wasn't much lobster for the price. Looking at it without the lettuce (and even next to my sunglasses for perspective), it felt pretty skimpy. The lobster itself was tender, and the toasted roll was good, but I expected a lot more filling for what it cost. The fries were crispy, and the herb dipping sauce was a nice addition. We also shared the Spicy Tuna Stack. It wasn't really spicy unless you happened to get a piece of red Thai chili in your bite. There was more mayo than needed, which made the dish a bit bland overall. The sweet pickles underneath added an unexpected sweetness that actually worked well, and the crispy rice was my favorite part. Still, it wasn't something I could eat much of because the flavors became a little too rich and one-dimensional. The Goat Cheese Artichoke Blossoms were good, though a bit bland. They were crispy and enjoyable but could have used a little more seasoning to make them stand out. Overall, Jolie is a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the views, but the food didn't quite live up to the prices. If I'd come back it would be for the atmosphere, but I'd probably order something different next time.
