When some of us wanted breakfast and others wanted lunch, Woodys fit the bill. It was my first time but a few friends dine here frequently and said that it was good. They ordered the skillets and I must say it looked real good. Portions were very generous and loaded with a variety of ingredients and lots of cheese. I ordered "The Big Cruiser" burger which came with double patties, double cheese of your choice, fried crispy onion strings, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and woody sauce (tasted like thousand island) on a brioche bun. For some reason they also added avocado which was. Happy mistake because it made the burger even better. It also includes a side of your choice. I got the beer battered fries. Overall a fantastic burger. The beef was cooked medium, was seasoned well and tender. Bacon was thick and crispy and the onion straws added good flavor and texture. Woodys diner is a hidden little gem in the Orange County area . It's located in a large shopping center so parking isn't an issue ! The outside of the restaurant and in the inside reminds me of beach vibes. Once you enter the restaurant you are greeted by the most friendliest workers which is always a plus The service is good no complains they were very accommodating ! The food to be honest fell kind of flat nothing really stood out however the vibes were very good. Overall not bad check them out fam! read more

Mother's Day is for taking out the moms... it is obvious that this is a tradition not to be broken.... The lines are unbearable in the morning at any of your favorite restaurants. We decided to do a 5pm dinner when the crowds have subsided. Woody's Diner was a pleasure and the two moms with me appreciated the calm world. Makenzie served us well thru out our experience. Woody's Diner was almost empty as we ordered our meals. The lovely missus has a big plate of the roasted Turkey Dinner. So much food strategy she asked for a container. The lovely daughter also ordered turkey, but it is a Cali Turkey Croissant. That was a good looking sandwich and she save the big half for later. My eyes were affixed on the usually served at breakfast called Loco Moco. Oh that was a winner with two eggs on top of burger patty over rice (could use an extra scoop) and then drizzled with a nice brown gravy. I ate it all. But wait, it is Mother's Day and we have to get some sweets. We found the Peach Cobbler, with or without the vanilla ice cream but you get a hood squirter amount of whipped cream on top. I had to leave a review for my favorite bartender/server at Woody's, Bernice, because she truly makes every visit so much better. A small surf themed diner on Highway 1 in Huntington Beach/Sunset Beach, very close to the water. I live in West Los Angeles, so this area is a lot calmer and less crowded than what I am used to so it's nice to be able to find easy parking and no lines. It's right next-door to Harbor House Café, which is also a surf themed diner and between the two I would say that Harbor House is my favorite although Woody's is another good option, especially if Harbor House is full. There are many Woody's locations, I believe at least six and none are in the Los Angeles area. They are all in Orange County, this being the most northern one. Our waiter was nice, but the service was very slow. He took a while to take our orders and our food items came out pretty slowly. He also forgot my coffee and gave it to everyone else around me before me, even though I ordered before them, and by the time I inquired about it, they had to brew another batch so I had to wait even longer. They have a tiny parking lot on the side of the restaurant otherwise it's pretty easy to find free street parking. For my breakfast I ordered my favorite breakfast dish, which is the Eggs Benedict. I decided to try the Woody's Benedict, which is basically a regular Benedict with cheese and gravy. I honestly thought it was pretty good and it was extremely filling. The biscuits weren't very flaky or as good as I hoped, but I still enjoyed them. They tasted a bit like microwave biscuits versus something very fluffy and crispy. Overall, a nice little surf theme diner in North Orange County. I would recommend if you are in the area. read more

I came here last Sunday 6/1/25 for breakfast with friends. Originally we were planning to have ramen for lunch but it was to hot for that. We settled on getting breakfast and my friend recommended Woody's Dinner. I have never been but Woody's has been on my to do list. We were promptly seated and waited a bit for our server to come. It was the lunch rush and the place was packed with guests. Both my friends ordered the Woody's Super Spuds which were basically hashbrowns with variety of toppings. I got the chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, hashbrown, biscuit and gray with Dr. Pepper to drink. The food came out promptly and was delicious. Even though the servers were overwhelmed with guests all of them did a wonderful job. I appreciated their service because I personally know it isn't easy. I used to love Woody's but it seems to have slowly been going downhill. We sat on the patio as it was empty. Due to allowing dogs it was full of floating dog hair. Unfortunately my Kid said the hot dog was "greasy and burnt," and had a hard time finishing it despite being hungry. The other 2 people in my party got the California grilled chicken sandwich. I took a bite of it, it tasted funky, something was off. That night my stomach was upset but my wife got sick as she finished the sandwich thinking it was fine. As for the crispy fries, they remain some of the best I've ever had and added a star to my review. While the Root-beer float was massive and delicious. Service was quick, on point, but seemingly impatient. It was a "I got a lot of tables hurry it up" feel to the service. Honestly, I've been missing out on this place. I moved down the street almost two years ago and have ignored it since there are so many spots in my neighborhood. Went on a Sunday morning around 8:30 and it was great. Lots of tables, outdoor patio and a calm atmosphere. I have got to this restaurant a few times, mostly because my grandma enjoys this place. After eating here yesterday, I truly believe this place has gone down hill. It was a terrible experience. It's so close to giving it 5 stars, and i totally would, except the best food experiences here may vary. Honestly, the basics here are great, the service is superb, and no matter where you sit, it's really pretty pleasant. I like this place, but it's hard to get my son to come. He's just not into the foid, he never says it's bad, it's just not his choice and he emjoys a good burger, and Lord knows I've had plenty here... but just not a goto, for him. I get it, i have ordered some plates here i truly like so much better than others, but to be honest, they have great breakfast options at any time of the day (waffles excluded) and that is something i enjoy. Woody's has a great diner style Turkey club. There service is always fast and helpful and will check on you at the perfect times. One of my favorite things about this location is that it's dog friendly. They have two patio areas to bring your pup out to eat with you. They have a full bar to order from as well and you can sit at the bar area if you don't want to sit at the booths or tables. Highly recommend this location and the menu is like an east coast diner. I was tossed up between a bbq chicken sandwich and a French dip; server pushed for the bbq chicken so I went that way. My counterpart had the simple breakfast combo with pancakes. BBQ chicken sandwich was very tasty, cooked so it wasn't dry at all and with the regular fries on the side it was great. Healthy portion, too! The breakfast combo was enjoyed by all (myself included). Pancakes were an absolute treat. Ham and eggs were good too of course. Partner had an espresso martini that she enjoyed very much! We were looking for a simple brunch spot after church today. At around 10:45, the wait was only about 10-15 minutes. Not bad at all. The servers and bussers look super young but I can't tell now a days. As I get older, everyone seems to get younger. Ughhhh... Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, Woodys consistently serves up great quality and excellent service! The salads are all super fresh, but my favorite is their loco moco for breakfast and fajitas for dinner. Their shakes and desserts are also to die for. We enjoy going to Taco Tuesday in their bar area. We usually sit out on the patio and they turn on the heaters when it's chilly. The tacos and condiments are all delicious and a great deal at $1.50 per taco. They also have a full bar and make wonderful cocktails. read more
