One of the freshest sandwiches of socal in my opinion it is very flavorful fresh ingredients and made with care and love as you can see in the picture providing everything had a place and when you bit into the sandwich it was nothing but a party 100% will come back again Lauren was a great sandwich maker and server and Quinton was very helpful with the variety of sandwiches provided come support

This one is short compared to the first one I ever did here. Today was my 3rd time and I'm convinced they just don't miss. I forgot the name of the sandwich but I added Cream Cheese today. I think the Malibu might still be my favorite out of the 3 I had so far. Bonus was the $2 Beer today. This is probably going to be my Friday spot for lunch for a while, and just 15 minutes from the office. Do yourself a favor and order ahead.

When we walked in the staff was very pleasant and greeted us with a smile. It was a small establishment not a lot of people inside . There were a couple of tables inside which were surfboards. Very cute decor. We ordered the small size hobie and added a small bag of chips on the side. The sandwich was amazing. One of the best sandwiches I ever had. Will definitely come back

It's not terrible but just wished the sandwich had more flavor. Nothing too special about the sandwiches here . Workers are nice though

Vegan vibes sandwich is amazinggggg. Avocado, smoked Gouda, spinach, bell peppers, cucumber, tomato, onion, mayo, salt and pepper on toasted wheat bread. Where have you been all my life?? Only $10 and also super healthy. I can't believe this is the first time I've been here! Calling all my vegans !

I've been to a Beach Hut Deli YEARS ago but never been to this location. The establishment was clean with cool beach decor. The man who took my order was super friendly, and so were the young employees making the food. We ordered the Hobie and the Sunrise sandwiches to go, and they did not disappoint! Our sandwiches were so tasty, and so fresh! They also have different events at their location. Ex; open mic night, live bands perform, etc. We'll definetly be back to try more. Thanks!

I used to love this place and was excited to stop by again after a long time. I decided to order a pastrami sandwich--only to be stunned when I saw the price: $16 for just a sandwich alone. No drink, no chips, just a tiny, slider-sized sandwich. I get it--rising costs, staff wages, rent, etc.--but this pricing feels completely disconnected from the portion size. I left more baffled than satisfied. The flavor profile was on point though.

Everyone that works here has always been super nice, but OMG!!!! I ordered a sandwich, chip and a drink. $30.00 dollars!!!... a med sand. That's crazy!!!... and that was with a tip, btw

Nice beach decor. Friendly customer service. Good selection of sandwiches. Cute bar in the middle. Has patio seating outside.

At no point should let us ever be yellow or white it's embarrassing to make a sandwich like this.

This is the most depressing lettuce I've ever seen in my life. I never even comment unless it's seriously disappointing and that's what the sandwich is. You need to seriously rethink your branding

We went on Friday night and I was surprised that we were seated right away. The service was great and friendly and the restaurant itself felt cozy and high-end. We ordered the garlic parm fries, momonoki chicken wings, and dashi pesto. The garlic parm fries were crispy and fresh and were like the best version of a McDonald's or Potato Corner fry. I could smell the garlic as soon as the fries came to the table but unfortunately, the taste wasn't as strong as I was hoping. Still really delicious, but the high price point means I probably wouldn't order this again. The chicken wings came out next and they were HUGE. They were super juicy inside and the fish sauce glaze was strong and had a nice kick. I appreciated that despite being glazed, the wings were still pretty crispy. The slaw that came on the size was a little heavy on the mayo and had a bright peppery taste. Definitely a nice fresh component to an otherwise heavy meal. Finally, the dashi pesto came out and the udon was perfectly bouncy. The pesto had a subtle seafood flavor and was very herbaceous. Most pesto I'm used to pack more of a sharp, garlicky punch, but this one leaned heavily into the fresh basil which I enjoyed. The scallops on top were also cooked beautifully. I was a bit sad that we received each dish at very different times, the dash pasta coming out much much later than the fries but they did warn us after we placed our order that the kitchen would be very busy so I appreciated the heads up. All in all, I think this is such a fun and classy fusion restaurant and they executed very well.

What an awesome gem of a spot here in Orange County! I've been eyeing checking District 36 Diner…read moreout for the longest time - ever since they opened up earlier this year - but they have the weirdest opening hours! I always thought of them "as the restaurant with the bizarre hours" - literally four hours a day during the week (closed Mondays) - and only slightly longer hours during the weekend. Upon first stepping foot into the space - you're transformed into an old-school diner with Vietnamese influence. The walls are well decorated in Vietnamese memorabilia. I was greeted by Brian almost immediately - who directed me to a spot "wherever I'd like to sit" - and I opted for one of the booths. Brian - is the co-owner of the diner, but is also part of "old-school" Little Saigon culinary royalty - a descendant of the family that founded the OG Song Long restaurant off Bolsa Ave. that has since shut down (known for their Cha Ca Thanh Long dish - which sadly, you can't get here). He is incredibly warm, genuine, and easy to chat with. After trying to decide between their Bo Kho variations (which is my favorite Vietnamese dish next to pho) - I settled for something new for me - their Five Spiced Chicken Fried Steak - which also comes with two eggs your way (I picked "Sunny Side up"), tater tots, and a Diet Coke. The wait was minimal - and the food was awesome! The tater tots tasted fresh - was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and yummy on the inside. I found myself eating those first - while letting the gravy seep into my chicken fried steak to soften it up a bit. The chicken fried steak was perfectly flavored - you could almost taste a bit of pho spices with each bite. The homemade gravy was out of this world amazing - making the chicken breading soft enough for me to eat comfortably. The two sunny side up eggs had perfect yolks - I like to poke, and then suck each yolk up - before eating the whites. I appreciate Brian cranking up the AC since I forgot to bring in my portable fan - and it was a pretty warm day. Hoping to check them out again this Saturday for their take on Bun Bo Hue or maybe one of their Bo Kho dishes! Plenty of parking in the shared lot with a Grocery Outlet and Artisan 7 Leaves (which I stopped by after my lunch here). Hope to see them more busy! Brian told me he'd definitely consider opening longer hours during the week if business picks up. Check them out!! They have a unique twist on traditional diner foods with a bit of Vietnamese flair!

The diner is very clean with interesting artwork and vibrant colors. I got the Five-Spice Chicken Fried Steak, Mama's Crispy Rolls, and a cup of Chicken broth to share. The rolls were hot and crispy with fresh leafy greens. The chicken fried steak was very crispy with a consistency almost like fried chicken. The taste is different from a traditional southern type of chicken fried steak. It had an interesting flavor like a mix of the pho seasoning. It is a brownish yellowish color and tastes a little like curry. It paired well with the tots. This was a hearty but not super heavy brunch dish and having a cup of the chicken broth was perfect to wash everything down. The breakfast burrito looked very good on the menu and I might try that for on another visit. I would recommend this diner for anyone looking for one with a retro modern feel and fusion food and good service.

We came for a birthday dinner, and it was…read moreeasily one of the most heartwarming and delicious dining experiences I've had in Los Angeles. This mother-and-daughter operation has a warmth you simply can't manufacture. The mother personally came over to greet us, the ambiance was impeccable, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We had the shrimp curry, beet salad, French onion soup, short rib, scallops with mushroom risotto, and raspberry cheesecake, and everything was phenomenal. After finishing the shrimp curry, we still had some of the incredible sauce left, so our waiter suggested a half order of garlic bread to soak it up. Absolutely fantastic and exactly the kind of thoughtful recommendation that defined the service. Even the things I initially thought I wanted differently turned out to be perfect as served. I wished the French onion soup had more cheese until I discovered it at the bottom and realized the proportion was perfect for the flavor. Even the filtered water may genuinely be the best I've ever had at a restaurant, and our glasses never went empty. They also boxed our leftovers for us, another small detail that showed the level of care throughout the night. I'm honestly surprised Heirloom hasn't made the Michelin Guide. The service was on par with many Michelin-recognized restaurants I've visited, but with a warmth and personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. They comped a raspberry cheesecake for the birthday, and it was so incredible that we ordered another slice to take home. They surprised us by comping that one too! Exceptional food, impeccable ambiance, genuinely thoughtful service, and hospitality with real heart. Don't miss this place.

They're known for their French onion soup and it was good, but I definitely wouldn't call it the best I've ever had. That said, it was probably two hours after we sat down by the time we actually got our soups , so maybe we were just really hungry by then haha. For our mains, we did the short rib, pork chop, and filet. Everything was delicious, but the filet was hands down the standout for me. The pork chop is wet aged, so it can look a little pink even when properly cooked, which threw one of my dining companions off a bit, but it was still good. Unfortunately, the experience was a different story. We had a 6:30 reservation and didn't leave until 9:45. We waited about an hour just for our appetizers, and shortly before they arrived, we were told they were down a cook and to expect delays. A three hour and fifteen minute meal for two and a half courses is just crazy. My biggest issue was the lack of communication. I wish we had been told when/before we were seated that the kitchen was significantly delayed so we could decide whether we wanted to stay or make other plans. Instead, we were already well into the experience before we got that information. The AC also wasn't great. It wasn't unbearable, but it was definitely uncomfortable, especially during Southern California's heat wave. I'm not sure if the AC just isn't very strong or if there was an issue that night, but sitting there for more than three hours while already feeling warm definitely didn't help. Then, right before our mains finally came out, we were offered complimentary half glasses of wine as an apology. Two of us declined, and one of my dining companions actually requested a completely different drink, but the wine was still brought to the table anyway (never received the requested drink either). If we've already said no, please don't bring it anyway. And honestly, after waiting that long, you need the full glass haha. At that point, I would have much rather been offered a complimentary dessert or something that actually addressed the three hour wait. The owner did come by twice and was very nice, and we were genuinely trying to be understanding of the situation. I just think there could have been more communication and a more meaningful effort to make up for the experience. Dessert didn't really redeem things either. We tried the crème brûlée and banana bread dessert, and neither would make my list to order again. The crème brûlée seemed overcooked and the banana bread dessert just didn't do much for us. So where does that leave me? The food is good, and there are definitely dishes I'd order again, especially the filet. But good food can only make up for so much when you spend more than three hours at the table, especially when you're hot and waiting most of that time. I'd be willing to give Heirloom another shot, but not before we get some cooler weather and I can confirm they've actually hired a second chef to help keep things moving at a more reasonable pace. If those things are sorted out, I'd be interested in seeing what the experience is like when everything is running the way it should.

We looooved the food and drinks we ordered. I got the ube drink and really enjoyed it. We also ordered apps for happy hour! We got the crispy rice tuna tower, artichoke hearts, and brussel sprouts, all were incredible! Service- 2/10. We loved the restaurant and the food, but our waiter Josh made us feel really uncomfortable. Josh was friendly when we sat down but he continuously told us what we would or wouldn't like. We appreciate recommendations, but it felt very pushy to order what he likes vs what we wanted. I also wanted a second opinion on what drinks were recommended so I asked the bar tender. Josh roughly asked me why I would do that and told me NOT to go anywhere else for recommendations but him. The rest of the night he completely ignored me. He ignored me to the point where my friend asked me if he was deliberately ignoring me because he's upset, she could even tell. He wouldn't look at me, and when we ordered food, he asked her for her order and left before asking me what I wanted to order. The next time he came back my friend had to go out of her way to tell him that he didn't take my order. When I said what I wanted to eat, he only addressed my friend and said he would work on it. When he delivered our drinks, he wouldn't look at me and delivered my drink to my friend, who then had to slide it over to me. She then told him that we were celebrating my birthday, in which he congratulated her for and when he brought the cake, he put it in front of her and lit the candle for her, even though she made it very clear it was for my birthday. It was sooooo awkward. He made both of us feel very uncomfortable, with him deliberately ignoring me, and with him over the top only looking at and talking to her. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Gorgeous view, very clean, and a good amount of space. The restrooms are very nice and very clean. They have a parking garage right downstairs that they validate for so parking is super easy! We love the restaurant and the food, but unfortunately we had such an uncomfortable experience with Josh that I won't be back

There is plenty of parking in the underground garage, and the restaurant will validate parking for two hours. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. There are two dining areas facing the beach, one with an open air covered area, and one completely inside with floor to ceiling windows. We wanted to enjoy the fresh air, and were seated on the open air patio, right against the front overlooking PCH. They also have a bar area inside. The ladies had the mocktail versions of the pineapple guava margarita and Life is Peachy ($9 each) and enjoyed them. I just had an iced tea which was constantly topped off. I had the pan seared halibut ($42) with broccolini and requested asparagus instead of the default second side of potatoes. The halibut was cooked perfectly with almond slices and cubed tomato on top. The lemon caper butter sauce was sooooooo good, and there was a lot of it to dip the fish and veggies in. The veggies were slightly overcooked, but were still very good, especially with the sauce. Both ladies had the grilled salmon ($32). My girlfriend requested a side salad with blue cheese and the pineapple risotto instead of the default brussel sprouts. Both entrees were enjoyed. We appreciated the manager bringing the birthday girl a complementary Brookie (baked brownie & cookie mix, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce) which we all shared. Our server Zane was attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were very good, and the prices were reasonable given the view and location. We would definitely return.
