Came across Bandoleros while scrolling yelp for chilaquiles.. saw a handful of pictures and knew I HAD to go! It did not disappoint! Chilaquiles verdes with carne asada was a flavor bomb! Their frijoles were tasty AF too! Abuelitas iced latte with their complimentary conchas sealed the deal for me. Can't wait to come back! Side note: They were packed at 11:30AM on a Monday. But service was quick and friendly! Food came out fast, hot, and fresh! Don't hesitate to add yourself to the waitlist :)

This place is delicious. Cute little cafe with plenty of options. There is plenty of open seating including booths and bar seats. The staff is Knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Highly recommend.

10/10. Great service. The staff was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of their menu. It was busy when we went but our food came fast. Our food came sooner than our coffee that's how quick the food service was. Everything was delicious. Tasted amazing, we loved everything. I loved that they greet you with some conchitas. Our coffee/hot chocolate was 10/10. We ordered the 1/2 green/red chilaquiles and they were soo delicious, very flavorful and crunchy too, it came with eggs and beans 10/10. We also ordered the molcajete 10/10. It's shareable, and comes with a lot of food: delicious soft meat, potatoes, chorizo, egg, beans, salsa and cheese. A must try please!

Bandoleros is a small hidden gem in OC that you definitely have to check out. The parking is relatively large so parking is easy. From the outside doesn't look like much but when you go inside it's definitely a vibe yall! Good music playing service was nice and helpful! The food is also pretty good as well! The price is mid to high but overall you get your moneys worth! Overall if your around the area check them out !

    - friendly and enthusiastic staff with great service - clean and well lit - very busy at the time we came, waited about 30min on a Saturday @11am, it was quite the wait for others as well but they were efficient - easy parking in the plaza 1. Chilaquiles Rojos 10/10 - delicious, flavors of the short rib and the tortilla with the sauce complemented all so well - short rib has a kick of spice which was perfect for what we wanted - comes with side of eggs and refried beans - very hearty 2. Short rib flautas 10/10 - soooo crispy and the short rib was the same from the chilaquiles having a nice kick - definitely recommend this!! 3. Homemade horchata 10/10 - not pictured but this is one of the best horchatas I've had, really nailed the flavor profile

Listen - if I'm going to be completely transparent, they had me at the free mini conchas that they give to you before you even order. In any case, I feel like this will be a pretty well rounded review, because I've been there about 3 or 4 times already. First - if you go for brunch on the weekend - there WILL BE a line (as there should be). So expect to be waiting for around 20 minutes. Its okay though, cuz its worth it. Second - once you're seated - look around. I say this because you'll inevitably see a bunch of plates making their way to their table... and this will give you inspiration to order what's to be the meal that will give you a very nice nap later in the afternoon. I can't tell what you to get, because literally everything I've ordered from there - whether its the Berry French Toast or the Short Rib Hash has been phenomenal. So literally - just order whatever your fat baby inner child longs for and enjoy the ride.

Another swing, another home run! Got the Cali Omelette today, spot on! Working my way through the menu and only have a couple items left until the final boss. Bulk Molcajete...I'm coming for you!

First off... WOW. Today was our second visit to Bandoleros Cafe and it did not disappoint. We actually stumbled across it a couple weeks ago, but the line was so long we had to tap out (hunger won that round). On our way out, a few people waiting told my husband it was absolutely worth it--and now that we've been back twice (yes, we were just here last Sunday), I can confidently say... they were 100% right. From the moment you sit down, your table is set with fresh cold water and pan dulce As someone who loves a good concha, this alone already had me smiling. My first visit, I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with asada--and let me just say... they were so good they almost made me slap my husband. Lucky for him, he was sitting just out of reach. He ordered the asada burrito, which was massive and packed with flavor. Today, I went with the huevos divorciados with asada and a side of papas. Everything was just as delicious as I remembered. I also have an 8-month-old, and while I usually bring her food from home (I prefer cooking her meals without salt), our server--whose name I sadly can't remember--was so kind and accommodating with how I needed my daughter's eggs prepared. That level of care really meant a lot. I also have to mention how well the staff works together. It's a cozy space and gets busy fast, but everyone moves like a team and keeps things running smoothly, even during the rush. And for the final review from our table--my daughter gives her eggs two very enthusiastic baby thumbs up. We'll definitely be back for another brunch at Bandoleros.

To begin, when we first got sat, they made a mistake and sat us first over another party of three that was ahead of us no offense, but that was the hosts mistake and they should've accommodated us and said sorry to the other party not us. I didn't want to make a big deal about it so we just got up and waited another 10 minutes. Honestly it was very embarrassing for a mix up like that to happen from an employee and us, the guest that y'all sat be punished for it. Ambiance wise the servers were nice but I feel that they really didn't care about that mix up. I guess mistakes happen so oh well what's done is done. From there we just ordered our food. The bandit burrito, pancakes and cali omelette. They were all good but nothing wow about it. They all have a slight kick in spice which is something that I liked on the burrito and omelette. It's on the pricier side for what we got in my opinion.

My gfs and I tried this spot on a Monday morning. There was a wait but not bad! The food was pretty good! I got the Mando Hash with onions and salsa on the side. The salsa was spicy, sooo good! The braised beef on there was really tender! I also tried the banana French toast. It comes with banana bread. Pretty good too! Sweet but that's a given haha. My friends also tried the chilaquiles and mixed berry French toast. They liked their dishes too! Service was great. Only downside was they forgot our complimentary conchas. So we thought maybe it's not complimentary anymore? However, when my friend asked, they actually made up for it by packing us some to go. Way to go with the service! We were told their conchas are made fresh in house! Ambience/atmosphere was good no complaints.

Plenty of parking the the shopping center, they tend to have a wait so make sure do go early. The food was delicious, and the mini conchas are a great way to start any meal! Thank you Bandoleros my family and I had a great time.

Great short rib avocado toast--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The short rib was tender and well-seasoned, pairing beautifully with the creamy avocado. Every bite felt thoughtfully put together. Overall, the food was excellent--fresh, well-executed, and satisfying. Definitely a spot worth coming back to. Only thing that could be better if they did opening seating at the bar

    Chilaquiles (half rojos/verdes)
    Jenny T.

I've been wanting to come here for a long time and I'm glad I did! We ordered the Chilaquiles (half Verdes, half Rojos) and breakfast Molcajete. So much food! I really wanted to get the French toast but didn't want to feel too bloated before our hike. They do offer a half size (so yes, extra tempting). I liked the food enough to want to come back for the French toast. Unique delicious conchas for the group! The only reason this is not a 5/5 is because when we first arrived, my husband politely asked for a menu to look at while we waited and the woman at the front was not interested in talking to him at all. She basically said, wait your turn, I'll get to you when I get to you. She was super duper nice to the regulars though, so maybe we rubbed her the wrong way? When it was our turn, she seated us and we were basically ignored the whole time. Luckily, the other staff were REALLY REALLY nice. They noticed that we were left alone in a corner, took our orders and immediately caught us back to speed in comparison to the other customers. Honestly, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have enjoyed the meal after that bad first impression.

Food, atmosphere, food, excellent service, and food. Love small local places. I would include a picture but I cleaned my plate.

Since opening in November of last year we have been waiting to be in the area and post dental appt…read morewe made sure to make it a mission to get here. Inside you are just in awe of how gorgeous the setting is. It never fails that the brains behind the interior design is flawless. You don't even feel like you are in fountain valley. My husband really wanted to try the fan tuan, usually that is to go only but they made an exception and said we could order it, it would just come in a to go bag (no biggie at all). I can whole heartedly say our food experience was INCREDIBLE. Every dish was beyond stellar. We had the beef chow fun, chili dumplings with chili oil, wings and regret not ordering a dessert. But.. I know we will be coming back to try more on the menu. The wings I gotta say were just the perfect ratio of crispy/meat/sauce. I need a bucket full of wings The fan tuan definitely worth the hype, I know some have said it has too much rice but helloooo it's what holds the whole thing together so for us it was a perfect balance. Looking forward to coming back, I'm still drooling over each dish we had..

My daughter made a 5:00 PM Father's Day reservation for three at Qua Contemporary Chinese Cuisine,…read moreand it turned out to be a wonderful family dinner. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated almost immediately. Water and menus were brought to our table right away, and the service was friendly from the start. As we browsed the menu, we found so many interesting dishes that it was hard to decide what to order. There was also a recommendation display featuring several signature dishes, which gave us some great ideas, and our waiter offered a few additional suggestions that helped us narrow down our selections. The restaurant features a modern, contemporary design with a clean, upscale atmosphere. The dining room feels spacious, and one feature that really stood out was the large private dining area between the front and back dining sections. It has an extra-long table and looks like it can easily be divided into two private rooms for larger gatherings or special occasions. For our Father's Day dinner, we ordered the following dishes: * Wood Ear Mushroom - (Great) Even though it was a simple cold appetizer, it was refreshing, crunchy, delicious, and surprisingly flavorful. * Chili Surf Clam - (Great) It was just a tiny bit salty, but the lightly spicy seasoning paired perfectly with the fresh surf clams. The flavor reminded me of the famous Sichuan dish, Steamed Chicken in Chili Sauce. Although one is seafood and the other is chicken, the seasoning profile is very similar, and when prepared correctly, both are incredibly tasty. * Crab Roe - (Good) It came with wood ear mushrooms, kimchi, and ginger vinegar served separately. I would recommend mixing everything together before eating instead of adding them one at a time. The crab roe itself was rich, creamy, and packed with seafood flavor. * "Dong Po" Braised Pork Belly - (Great) We are usually hesitant to order this dish because many restaurants serve it dry and overly fatty. This one was excellent. Although a few corners were slightly dry, most of the pork was tender and literally melted in your mouth with its savory-sweet braising sauce. They even provide scissors so you can easily cut it into four bite-sized pieces. My advice is to enjoy each bite with both the lean meat and the fat together, then worry about the calories later! That's how you get the full melt-in-your-mouth experience without it feeling greasy. * Steamed Cod with Black Bean Sauce - (Wonderful) Since there were only three of us, we ordered the smaller portion, but it still came with several generous chunks of cod. The fish was perfectly steamed, silky smooth, flaky, and paired beautifully with the flavorful black bean sauce. This was one of my favorite dishes of the evening. * Garlic Prawns with Glass Noodles - (OK) The prawns were juicy and flavorful, and the garlic sauce was delicious. Unfortunately, while the glass noodles absorbed some of the sauce, they didn't take on as much flavor as we expected, making the dish a bit less memorable than the others. * Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice - (Great) I've tried countless lotus leaf sticky rice dishes over the years, and this ranks near the top. This was the first time I've seen a whole abalone incorporated into the sticky rice. The fragrant rice wrapped in lotus leaf, combined with the perfectly cooked abalone, added both wonderful flavor and texture. * Stir-fried Green Beans with Pork - (Great) This is a dish offered by many Chinese restaurants, but Qua cooked it exceptionally well. The green beans were crisp and flavorful, paired with seasoned minced pork, garlic, and crispy fried shallots that reminded me of many classic Taiwanese and Southeast Asian dishes. * Mango Shaved Snow Ice - (Great) At first we were debating between the Strawberry and Mango Shaved Snow Ice. Our waiter recommended the mango version, saying it was one of their most consistent and popular desserts, and he was absolutely right. Every bite was creamy and packed with mango flavor--from the fresh mango chunks to the mango ice cream and the mango-flavored shaved snow. It was the perfect way to end the meal and is a must-order on a warm Southern California day. * Hong Kong Milk Tea - (Great) This was a little different from a traditional Hong Kong milk tea. It had a subtle hint of sea salt that complemented the smooth, rich tea very well. It was also perfectly sweetened, making it an excellent drink to finish the meal. Overall, we had a fantastic Father's Day dinner. From the modern atmosphere and attentive service to the delicious food, Qua exceeded our expectations. Our favorites were the Steamed Cod, Dong Po Braised Pork Belly, Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice, Chili Surf Clam, and Mango Shaved Snow Ice. We'll definitely be back soon to try more dishes. A well-deserved 5 stars!
