This was the first visit at this Jersey Mike's location on Roosevelt. It was super busy! I ordered the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite for the first time. I have to be honest it wasn't my favorite. It was just ok but I felt like it was missing something. They made it like it was supposed to; other than onions. I had the Rosemary Parmesan bread and it had great flavor and that's really all I tasted with the sandwich and not the meat, cheese or dressing. Now my favorite sandwich here is still the Philly cheese. I always get this and was trying to get something different to try. Not sure which sandwich I will try next. Definitely not the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite!!!! Also we ordered water. First time we noticed they charged .25 for each cup. All five of us noticed dirt/black stuff floating in the water. We ended up pouring out all the water cups and tried it again. 3 out of the 5 cups were fine on the second attempt. I ended up not drinking anything because of it. Not sure if it was in the water or the ice. Other than that everyone else in our group enjoyed the lunch and loved their sandwiches. My wife ordered the Tuna sandwich. She liked it. My mom ordered the chicken salad sandwich and she loved it! Our granddaughter ordered the ham and cheese and she liked hers. Stopped by this evening for dinner with my family at this sandwich shop located in a strip mall on Roosevelt Boulevard. The parking lot is a mess bc of some construction but we found a parking spot. Once inside the staff were professional, polite and patient even when faced with some indecisive children. We all got different sandwiches and the staff was on top of the orders and cranked everything out in a timely manner. All sandwiches are made to order and despite all of our sandwiches being custom jobs they still got everything right. My cheesesteak was amazing and I was able to add lettuce, tomato and mayo. My kids demolished their subs and there were no leftovers. The inside was clean and everything was well stocked. As a bonus, they carry garden salsa sun chips which are my fave. Jersey Mike's has grown considerably in the last few years and new locations continue to pop up in new cities, bringing a hint of what makes New Jersey one if the best places in the world to get a sub. Jersey Mike's makes subs how we make them in my home state of New Jersey. With meat and cheese freshly sliced and piled high on good bread, topped with the various vegetables that make the perfect sub. On an interesting note, in New Jersey, Jersey Mike's is not the best of sub shops. However, they follow in the footsteps and bring what is arguably some if the best subs down here in the south. Probably my go to subs are the Italian for a cold sub and the Big Kahuna for a hot sub. I would say that I probably get the Italian the most, but both are very good. Really, all of the subs at Jersey Mike's are pretty good. All in all, I would definitely recommend this Jersey Mike's location or any of them. Jersey Mike's remain pretty consistent throughout the multiple states that I have tried them in. This is in part due to the training that Jersey Mike's gives to those who buy a franchise. The customer service at this location is exceptional. The manager from Fernandina happened to be there on my last visit and he and his staff were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant seemed pretty clean with the smell of fresh baked bread and Italian spices co-mingling just as soon as you walk in the door. I usually take my lunch after the 12 o'clock rush, but this location has a steady flow of customers whatever time you arrive. That's always a good sign. The menu gives you tons of options and this time I went with the regular size #7 (Turkey Breast and Provolone) and the Giant #14 (The Veggie) so I could have one for lunch and the other for dinner. Oh man! What perfect submarines they create here and the girls meticulously build, cut and wrap your sub so it's just as pretty (and tasty) as when you left the shop. Although you're going to pay a tiny bit more for subs here, the quality of the fresh baked, soft and tasty bread combined with the mayo, mustard, cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano, salt, green bell pepper with whatever protein you decide to put in between is well worth the money. Do not eat here. I was served a sandwich that had a Little Rock in it. That rock CRACKED my tooth in half. I just had it pulled and now I have two more surgeries ahead. I have gone to this location a few times because it is nearest my home. I order ahead and the subs have never been done on time. Tonight arrived 10 minutes past the time it was to be done and, of course, it wasn't. No apology, no concern, and no acknowledgement form the staff. Even better, when I did finally get the sub, they made it wrong (no lettuce, no pickles). Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. I love Jersey Mikes and have eaten there in several different states. In fact, I search them out. However, THIS particular visit was quite below par. The turkey was falling apart because they tried to slice it so thin and there was noticeably less on my sandwich. The service was slow and flat, and they poured oil on my sandwich, even though I asked for none. When I pointed that out, the employee seemed annoyed at me, and he switched out the lettuce, but my sandwich still had oil on it. The tables were dirty and the drink area was a mess. If I could give a zero on stars I would. I didn't get anyone's name except the guy who I want to point out because he seemed to be the lead worker this evening, he had the most brightest orange knotted hair, he did not have management skills at all this evening. I asked for an Italian sandwich and a turkey with provolone "giant" for both, he started to make the Italian and I was telling him about my other sandwich, as he was cutting up the meat for the Italian sandwich and he told me "just wait a minute let me get the meat for your first sandwich and I will put everything else on it," (so I am watching) and he passes my sandwich to the young girl that was working (so I thought they were going to do a subway sandwich style) she was dousing the juice & soaking up the bottom of the bread I asked her to go light and then heavy on the onions she did the opposite of my request. So I asked her what was going on with my other sandwich my turkey and provolone so she turns to the guy with the orange knotted hair and tells him, so he says "okay just make it" so she passes my first sandwich to another guy to cut and wrap it but before she gives it to him she flips the sandwich and realizes she has two different pieces of bread and one was The Parmesan and the other was white but they were both bottom pieces of the bread (lol) so now I am being entertained! All of the juices and lettuce and onions drop out of it and it was just a messy sandwich! but they still wrapped it just the way it was, so now I feel like you are playing with my sandwich now! Then I look over and she is making my turkey and provolone and it is like a 6 inch sandwich and I said "what is that" she said it was my turkey and provolone and I told her "I asked for a giant turkey and provolone" so she gives me a nasty look and shrugs her shoulder and sighs and I said "never mind just keep making that small sandwich" and I asked her "could you please go light on those dressings that you're putting on there" and she starts dousing it again with the juices and I'm getting really upset because they already flipped around and ruined my first sandwich without any apologies or even asked to remake it. So I'm sitting there and boiling inside because I know that this is not Jersey Mike's standards and ways of making a sandwich, the way a sandwich taste has a lot to do with how people make the sandwich also. Everything they put on that sandwich tonight I could've did it at home but I chose to come to this store. when I came in and ordered you weren't really listening to my order or even asked me if I wanted anything else Because all of this would have been prevented. The guy with the orange knotted hair is who I am speaking about because he took my order and he kept watching me the whole time and looking at his teammates destroying my sandwich, and honestly I think he was really embarrassed as he should be and should have came to their rescue! for one... that orange hair without a net on it slinging all over the counter should have been pulled back or attained a lot better than it looked, if you look at a jaspers hat that is exactly the style that was on his head, perception is everything. This jersey Mike's store really did not hold up to the standards this company provides. So as I was getting ready to pay, it just didn't seem like anybody cared that I was walking out of that store with something that I wasn't happy with so I changed my mind and I said "never mind" these sandwiches should have been made the way I wanted them to be made because they are not cheap sandwiches and I did not have to stop here but I knew what kind of sandwich I was going to get and tonight I didn't get that. All the changes that are being made to all these fast food establishments (now to include this Jersey Mike's) seem to be having the same kind of customer service that's gone Rogue. Went 30 minutes BEFORE closing time and they man and woman at register said that the grill closed early since it takes longer to clean. They told us that the lady had already cleaned the grill and that we could only have cold subs. Why is it the CUSTOMERS problem that you want to clean a grill 30 min before the actual closing time? Nice shop, they had cut your meat while you watch your sandwich assembled. Several times we have had the #13 "Original italian" it has several tasty combinations such as Provolone, Ham, Prosciuttini, Cappacuolo, Salami, and Pepperoni. All served on Jersey Style bread. Try the Mini size for a small portion. The final step is the finishing touches Mike's Way with Onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Vinegar, Oil and Spices. They offer a loyalty card to earn "Shore" points towards a free sandwich. This location is amazing! Being from the Pt. Pleasant area and growing up with a Jersey Mikes around the corner, I can honestly say that this location is better than the original locations in New Jersey. The bread was fresh and the sandwiches were neatly put together. One thing that stood out to me was that when we ordered a gluten free sandwich the young man behind the counter took the time to COMPLETELY clean the meat slicer and counter to ensure that cross contamination did not occur. They also used a separate knife to cut the sandwich to also prevent cross contamination. This location has their act together and cares about their customers. I must update this review. If you have food allergies read or care to patronize a place that cares about customers. We were great customers, purchasing 3 giants a week. Our family is allergic to jalapeños. I ordered in late January (my order is known by most employees and they have it in my loyalty program ) but the girl wasn't listening as I had to repeat it many times. She did read it back correctly finally. Got home and went in to anaphylaxis because I took the first bite in the house. Scary for all jalapeño juice slid down my throat. They put what I always request NOT to have due to the allergy and had anaphylaxis and digestive issue. I was sick for weeks. I Threw them away and my family ate cereal that night except me due to my throat. Called and Noah as this was a ton of money wasted (he claimed he is a manager). I was disturbed because he kept repeating I wasn't here - managers always step up even when not in the building (I am one corporately in a large cosmetics company), stated we are always good to you. He was not offering to replace in this and - Well you are the manager and you should apologize and he did not even offer to replace until I mentioned emailing corporate. My mom picked them up and he was aloof not his normal self - never apologized for the experience. I guess when there is an issue he throws away the fake charm. The girl apologized that made them and mumbled to Noah that he should give us something and he loudly said I replaced the sandwiches like that is enough. Super rude for clients that spend $200 month. It did cause extreme illness and missed work so honestly that was not enough especially with his aloof attitude. He went in the back after his young employee tried to get him to do the right thin. My mom was leaving but she said he is getting something for you. My mom was shocked and felt like it was a slap in the face when he gave her an insulting coupon expiring in days that was BUY 2 get 1 for 1.99 which is basically nothing except forcing us to buy 31.99 more in merchandise. We thought he was going to be honorable and give a voucher for the trouble. That would be right. This really was a slap in the face as the mistake caused medical issues. I had to take extra medicine for it. I emailed corporate because this experience was repulsive. I spoke to their General Manager and realized they get their attitude from him. I was wowed because I am a manager myself. Instead of apologizing for the experience, the General Manager told me Noah was wonderful and he had a bad customer before us that night with replacements as if that makes it ok to be aloof (should not matter as in customer service put out on a smile especially when you have wronged one and made them sick ). I stated this is not how you treat customers when you have made them ill and you do not throw them a coupon expiring in 2 days forcing them to buy 2 sandwiches - this is not anything that would generate a return nor is it an apology. It is a slap in the face. The rude General Manager stated what do you want? 3 sandwiches on us? I stated I want nothing except for you to know how Noah is treating loyal customer but I can see from your response you do not care as you are defending him. I hoped for a genuine acknowledgment and apology. He stated he can make Noah apologize and I stated it would mean nothing as it is not genuine after this experience. For the Blanding Blvd location across from OP High School. LOVE IT! The sandwich was amazing and I tried the Original Italian of which was sooooo delicious! The meat is fresh, sliced right as you order it. A must try. There is a fluffy female worker there that really should work on her customer service skills. She definitely can kill the business. Very awful when taking orders and it's your first time. Please send her to some type of additional training to learn better customer service skills. This was my first Jersey Mike's experience; they seem to be spreading like a rash, opening new stores all across the country. I made the mistake of comparing Jersey Mike's Subs to Subway, which personally insulted my lunch companions. The employees at this location were very nice, even with the lunch rush. Overall, it's cheap and you get a good size sandwich that seemed like it was made of ingredients that won't make you sick. Will I go back? No. The only reason I went this time is that my friends were dying to eat there and I didn't want to rock the boat. My advice, rock the boat and go eat somewhere else. I work nearby and found Jersey Mike's Subs through one of my delivery apps. I have had food delivered and I have also picked up- just gotta say they are doing a great job all the way around. So much that I thought I would take the time to drop them their well deserved 5-star rating on here. I'm a big fan of their prices, too. After eating here twice, I have to say I would not go out of my way to eat here.The first time I ate here I had the tuna sub. The best thing about the sandwich was the bread. The tuna was was dry and had too much other stuff like relish and onions. The second time I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich on wheat. It took too long to get the sandwich. When I got it, the bread was semi-stale, the meat processed and the bacon salty. I guess there is really nothing good to say about that trip. read more

I am a regular of jersey mikes, first time to this location. I am a vegetarian and wanted a meat free sandwich. I asked the employee politely to cut my cheese on a different surface or clean the slicer. I have done this at all other locations with no problem. She cleans the slicer but still there are bits of meat sticking to my cheese (fairly large sizes, enough for me to see three feet away). I ask if she can fix this and her response was "there's only so much I can do". So I said I didn't want the sandwich. The other guy working went back and got pre sliced cheese to make it. Now my go to meal when all other ideas don't pan out. The sub sandwich, a grinder, even a hoagie. All different names for the sand sandwich. Jersey sub is for me the closest sub to the real New Jersey sub that I used to eat as a boy on summer vacations. There's a sub shop that is still there and serving subs called The Parrot Sub Shop in Highlands NJ. I compare every sub I have ever ate to theirs. I like that they cook their own bread at Mike's and they slice the meat to order. They also don't lay the meat out they pile the meat on. It really does taste better when your meat is piled on and not laid on. Then you have to get your sandwich Mike's way with mayo lettuce, onions, oil n vinegar and out the door.
