Wow this place only has 3 stars I love Larry's most of their locations are unique, either sandwiches are always good.

A few years back I visited the Larry's Giant Subs location in Tampa and remember it being very good so I was pretty surprised by the 3-star rating. I decided to stop by and give them a try while out and about running errands last week. I was in the mood for a hot sub so I ordered the Gold Rush. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I filled my water cup and chose a table by the window. My sandwich was delivered to my table within 5 minutes. The presentation was good, looked fresh and tasty. I thought it was a very good hot sandwich. The salami, ham and turkey were warm. The provolone was perfectly melty. The lettuce and tomato added a nice refreshing factor. I really liked the Peruvian sauce as well. Of course, you can't forget about the bread. The white Italian sub roll tasted freshly baked; toasty yet soft. I think Larry's is an awesome lunch spot plus they have a drive thru!

Step out for a quick lunch and got a whole surprise. This place not only features a drive thru but the big surprise is inside. There's a huge replica of King Kong and Batman to greet you when you enter. There was maybe 1 family seated inside but there's a lot of space in the dining area

Quick bite to eat across the street from the movie theater. Great location and a pretty cool entryway. You walk into a subshop, and all of your needs are met! Fresh deli meat, fresh bread, tons of chip options, sauce options, and so many toppings! Cake, sweets, soda, and lemonade. The service was great, and everyone was helpful. The restaurant was clean, quick, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend you pop in!

So this was actually my second time at a Larry's Giant Subs. My first experience was in the Arlington area and I have to say that location if I could give a 1/2 star I would of. I didn't find the quality of food there acceptable. I had barely any meat in my sandwich and long story short in my last bite of my sandwich I saw mold on my bread. Totally disgusted. Now to the present date of 2.28.2018 I was told by another yelper, try it again but on southside, you will not be disappointed. So I did. The results are in and I am glad I did. 5 star rating on this location. The sub shop was clean, staff was friendly, so many different options in choice of sandwiches, accommodating to gluten free choices( leaking more toward this lifestyle) an over abundance of drink choices, clean restrooms, and a cool and inviting atmosphere with a Giant Gorilla and many pictures and wall decor. Oh and I forgot to add a drive thru window. From NJ we take pride in Subs and Hoagies. This place definitely serves a hearty and healthy choices and I am definitely going to be a repeat customer because of the food, location and customer service.

Delicious subs, can't go wrong with Larry's. Great atmosphere and service here. Beautiful building. Go get a sub and chow down on some grub!

    Large Killer! So good!

Why don't I go here more? It's close to home and amazing! I actually attempted to go to another, new sub place but they have the most frustrating hours and are closed on Sunday, so I went where I knew I would get exactly what I was craving! The parking lot was super packed so I was worried it would be a long wait - and I had to head to work in an hour - but they were fast and efficient. The girl that took my order was nice, knowledgable and friendly. I got a 12' Killer because it's the best version of an Italian - ham, 2 salamis, Provolone and (I think) a capi or something similar. Paired with chips, fountain drink and bottled water - gotta hydrate! I spent $15. (I was planning ahead with the water and larger sub for my break at work. I wouldn't usually get so much!) This sub was perfect - exactly what I wanted it to be. Had the option to do wheat bread and everything! They have a lot of health conscious options, including some fancy salt and pepper, natural sugar sodas and chip alternatives. The decor is this super amazing mix of NY and the 80s/90s and I loved it! Tables are covered with old images and the walls have lots of NY nods - King Kong hangs out to watch you eat, too. Really family friendly and chill. They have a few tables outside, TVs all around and I think they even serve beer.

This place is really cool... they added personality to a sub shop.they make a good sub but the experience is what would bring me back. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly. I had their giant italian sub which was really good. I would stop back again and have a sub.

Eureka (I have found it)! Hollywood in Florida!!!!…read more JUST like Dr. Indiana Jones combing through the jungles seeking his ancient museum artifacts, I was navigating the curvy wilds of the Jacksonville Southpoint area, located near I-95 and JTB. The best things in life require some effort to build your appetite, and whereas I did not collect a golden idol like Dr. Jones, I was rewarded instead with a cheerful new friend and one of the absolute FRESHEST sandwiches in JAX! Nestled between the sparse woods and surrounding offices you will find happy, loyal diners who fill Hollywood Heroes and Subs each lunchtime to the point where the line stretches out the door. I had just seen the last of the lunch crowd smiling and saying goodbye for the day to our energetic and upbeat host, Founder, sandwich artist and Jacksonville native Kevin Porter, an actor turned restaurateur -- known for roles including "Lazer" in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, plus appearances in Daredevil and General Hospital. Something that cannot be "acted" around was his genuine welcome and desire to roll out the red Hollywood carpet for all who make the journey (yes, it's a REAL red carpet)!! This sweet shop is the perfect size, and has a significant amount of Hollywood memorabilia all around to keep you engaged while chatting with Kevin as he works his magic. And what he produced was a treasure of cheese and meats that made me forget about whatever might have been chasing me through those woods to get there! J/K In between wonderful conversation with Kevin, each bite of my MASSIVE "The Towering Inferno" hot hero (pepperoni, Genoa salami, cappy and melted provolone) on fresh baked Village Bread made me realize just how huge and delicious this thing was. Kevin promised that the one pictured is exactly what every customer will get...he prides himself on highly generous portions at fair prices...and man, did he deliver!! I would have been completely satisfied with HALF, but NO!!!! There sat its twin, begging for sacrifice to the stomach Gods. I was only too happy to oblige! The owner Kevin = engaging, friendly, talented with his craft, makes you feel like you drove through the woods to come home to your happy place. The ambiance = bright, colorful, great memorabilia, puts you as the star of the show. The sandwiches = creative in name and product with fresh being the operative word, this sandwich hit above its price point and I can't wait to try to the rest of the menu! So no, I didn't get chased by a boulder, or leave with Dr. Jones' golden idol, but I did get a Golden Belly from my experience, and the knowledge of why hundreds of hungry lunch- goers seek this "Temple of Delish" every day!! Crack the whip and corral your family into the car for this absolute treat in the core of "ancient Jacksonville!!"

We arrived early and found that very quickly there was a line that was extending out the door. That was for good reason. This place is excellent. Great staff, impeccable food, fantastic service. Inside is clean, neat with hearty tables. The front features their baked goods as well. All fresh, all look delicious. I tried the Tiramisu for dessert. No pictures. It was that good that it made me forget. We dined in, and to do so, you order at the front, are seated and are served shortly after. When you order, keep in mind that they bring bread to the table. Two types of bread with a delicious mix of oil and balsamic that is ideal for dipping. Shortly after we received our food. We split the sandwiches between us and one order of truffle fries. The muffuletta was so meaty and flavorful. The bread fresh and the perfect accompaniment. The eggplant likewise was so delicious. I was expecting more of historical panini type bread but this bread was perfect and grilled. The truffle fries...crispy, bursting with flavor. Really generous portions here of next level sandwiches. If you're in the mood for a great sandwich or a huge salad, this is THE place for you. I highly encourage you to check them out. You'll be glad you did.

Both sandwiches were great but just extremely heavy - I definitely was in need of a serious nap after lunch. Had a side of truffle fries, but couldn't get through more than a few. The ambiance inside is somewhat tight and thankfully we were sat at our own table. The servers essentially drop the food off and that's it, so it's interesting as usual that they ask for a tip like we are at a restaurant with a real waiter/waitress. Overall, not a bad place, didn't get a chance to try the pastries/cakes which looked decadent. But for the price of the sandwiches and service, I'd say the value is pretty low.

We started with Hummus and Tata Chips, which was crispy pita chips with a standard (but delicious) hummus. The Tata chips had great flavor, like Stacy's Pita Chips but better! The firat course was White Bean Fahsulia, which was a rich and hearty bean stew that packed huge flavor! Second course was Falafel with Tahini Sauce. These were a nice little bite between dishes. The center of the falafel was light, fluffy, and flavorful! Course 3 was Masaka-Ah served with Timan Asfur Rice. While this dish was good, it was my least favorite of the evening. I ate half of the stew and passed the rest off to my husband, who loved it! Course 4 brought us Dolma's served with Roasted Vegetables. I LOVE stuffed grape leaves and these were seriously on point! Tart and tangy up front followed by a whole lot of savory. Course 5, my favorite, was the Spicy Curry Chicken served with White Rice. This was the dish that made me fall in love with Fast Eddy's food and had me coming back for more. I took a couple bites and got a to-go container to enjoy this later at home. Finally, we reached the end of our dinner and Course 6, dessert, came out. Freshly made, sweet and decadent, traditional baklava. Filo dough, crushed walnuts, butter, and honey. This just melted away once it hit my mouth. I don't eat a whole lot of sweets but this had me closing my eyes and enjoying every bite. Every time I've visited Fast Eddy's the staff has been amazing, friendly, and hospitable. And of course, the place being completely decked out with rock and metal music memorabilia, i feel right at home here. Oh, and there's never a time where I leave that place without an order of the Pasta Anatoli to-go!

Actually, I think the one time I went when I was already in the area, they told me the coupon I had had to be used at dinner time. So, I ended up leaving. I finally tried this place over a year after it opened and I didn't find it to be anything too special. I like the fact that they had a number of chicken subs and I was torn between the chicken teriyaki and the steak bomb. I ended up deciding I wanted to try sort of a Philly cheesesteak and so I got the steak bomb without mayo. We also got a half tuna sub and a kids turkey sub combo. I was very disappointed by the cheesesteak. I'm not exactly sure what "bomb" means, but I was expecting it to sort of be bursting with flavor. It really had no flavor, despite visibly having onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese. There was oddly a strip of bacon sitting on top (not chopped into the meat) , which was really the only component that added any seasoning as it was a little salty. I ended up having to put both ketchup and barbecue sauce on it at home to give it some seasoning. The tuna sub fared better, although it was a bit liquidy so the bread was soggy. The kids turkey sub combo was just that, turkey and white bread. The portion was very good though for a kids meal as it appeared to be an entire 6-inch sub and a small order of fries with a drink. that was definitely a good deal. If you haven't been, note that they only offer white bread, no bread, or sandwich toppings put on a salad All in all, this probably wouldn't be a place I would return to unless I wanted to try the chicken teriyaki sub. But I will say that the worker who packaged my order was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I was a little concerned about the fate of this place as nobody was in there eating, but hopefully they are doing well.
