Went here last night not realizing how close it was to closing time. The young kids that took our order and made our sandwiches were very friendly and proficient. They had great attitudes even though they were already cleaning up to close shop. I say this because it is very hard to even get a smile and good service at the same time these days. This was by far the worst Jersey Mike's experience I've ever had. It took five minutes before anyone even acknowledged us or took our order. When someone finally did, my sandwich had to be remade twice due to mistakes. What made it worse was that the other employees stood by and watched without offering to help, which made the situation even more frustrating. The lack of urgency and teamwork was disappointing. I received an offer for five dollars off through my American Express card so I headed out over to check them out. I have never eaten at Jersey Mike's as there really isn't one near me. This one was seven miles away and I passed half a dozen Subways and Jimmy Johns on the way. When I arrived, it was busy. It seems two employees didn't show up and there was one man making all the sandwiches and one manager apologizing to everyone over and over for the delays. They were both very polite and sincerely sorry. I certainly drew nothing but positive conclusions from the way they were handling this hiccup. I ordered a tuna sandwich and an Italian. Both were extremely good and made with care. What I really noticed was that the man making the sandwiches was meticulous about what he touched and changed his gloves each and every time he touched something other than food. These douches at were cleaning up at 8:15pm and me and my friend came in an ordered two Big Kahunas (chicken and steak). We both asked for wheat and the guy looked and made sure there was wheat and then he had the girl make the sandwiches. They looked pissed off that they had to clean the grill again. I checked my sub and my friend got wheat and I got white on mine. They put a whole bunch of jalapeños on both too. Don't bother walking in an hour before closing because they will mess up your order because they have to be cleaning and clocked out by 9:00pm. I've been to a dozen or more Jersey Mike's. I've ordered well over a hundred different times. Used to be known on a first name basis at some stores. I decided because I was close I would try this store out which I don't live near and probably wouldn't return to. Lucky for me because this one blows. First off I ordered 4 sandwiches. Three were regular turkey sandwiches. The employee suggested I get a giant because it's cheaper than two regulars. But he was immediately cut off by another employee (chubby Hispanic guy with a mustache). He said, "no we'll do three regulars". I then heard him say as he turned his back, "they don't want us doing that because it costs more". Meaning that it's more important they gouge me for more money than I save two dollars. Ok. Fast forward I'm waiting for the sandwiches to be made. An online order came in before me so they were a couple sandwiches backed up. The female employee and another male were tag teaming the cutting and wrapping and doing fine. Douchey McDoucherson muscles his way in and starts sloppily cutting sandwiches to show them how cool he is and then walks away. He then starts barking things asking for something without even so much as a please. I don't know if this clown is a manager but he should be fired. He shouldn't represent this company. I know if I worked there I would hate being around him. I'd quit in a heartbeat. Needless to say I left no tip for the first time ever going to Jersey Mike's. I didn't want that ass to get any of it. If the other employees see this, feel free to reach out to me and I'll get you some cash. I'll add some extra because you have to work with that idiot. We are usually big Jersey Mike's fans but this location gave us a terrible experience recently. We ordered online and when we went to pick it up it wasn't ready (this is not that big of a deal) so I waited for 5 minutes and then they handed me my order. When we got home all 4 sandwiches were on the wrong bread, none of them had lettuce (mine was a BLT) or any condiments, and they were all missing more key ingredients. Basically we got bread and meat and that was it. When we called, someone picked up the phone, hung up on us, and proceeded to leave it off the hook. I called back a couple hours later, someone heard our complaint, told me there was nothing they could do but their manager would call us soon. A week later, no call.
