I was unsure, but drove a half hour to this chain after learning that it is one of the only places around that serves gluten free bread. I was pleasantly surprised to see that upon ordering gluten free, the gentleman changed his gloves and cleaned the prep area as well as the slicing machine. He took clear precautions to ensure that I was not cross contaminated. The bread and the sandwich (Italian combo) were great! First time trying Jersey Mike's and I'm a fan. Better than the other sandwich chains in my opinion. Sliced to order meats and cheeses and the bread is a step above their competitors thanks to its crusty exterior and nice chew. I ordered the #13 which is the Italian Combo and I got it Mike's style. The regular size is shorter than the footlong at Subway but it's wider and with noticeably more meat and a better quality cold cut. Well worth the extra dollar or so in price. read more

The first issue is if you didn't want to share your parking lot with other businesses then WHY PICK THAT LOCATION? Next by towing peoples cars because they parked in spots for your customers do you really think that's "INVITING" ..The food ..ok but the Management ATL the establishment seemed more "PRE OCCUPIED" with who was parking in THIER spaces then making sure my order and or service was properly done. Your not losing business due to parking but you probably will by towing someone's car . SERIOULSY overpriced mediocre quality small subs... Quality is barely better than Subway for twice the price. There are 3 sizes of sub. The largest is "giant." I don't have a huge appetite and that sounded like too much so I got the "regular" assuming, like Subway you get a half or a whole. FYI, giant is a whole, regular is half and mini is a scrap! I got turkey bacon with provolone. It was 3 slices of cheese, 6 thin slices of turkey and 2 sad little pieces of pre-cooked bacon that came out of a vat of other sad little bacons... they didn't even warm it on the fancy flat top grill.. Had the buffalo chicken philly cheese steak and it was pretty good. Everything was Made fresh on the spot and they even slice their meats in front of you for most of their sandwiches. Went to this location upon entering 6 staff on acting very unprofessional. From joking to literally dancing at the register. Ordered the Italian combo they offer . Reaction from the one stationed at the slicer " Man you're gonna make me work " my wife ordered a hot sub that had to be made by the worlds most miserable grill cook . Not sure if he was because everyone else was playing around. Get to the register the girl there is leaning over bad posture had no clue how to do a gift card. Just an overall bad feeling and gives franchises a bad reputation because assume there all owned by a corporation . I haven't been to a Jersey Mikes since I lived in CA, so naturally I was really excited. The sub was definitely as good as I remember them being however the staff needs a little help in the customer service department. At first I thought it might be because they were newer but when it comes down to it, I don't really see that as an excuse to be unfriendly and make our decisions feel rushed (so the cashier can hook his girlfriend up with a free sub, who was in having her study session right there in front of the fountain soda machine.) All in all I'm sure we will be back because it's a huge step up from Subway - fresh bread, fresh cut or cooked meat and fresh vegetables. Hopefully we will catch a different shift of employees and have a better experience next time. read more

Idk what I think of this place yet. What I do know is I feel I paid a lot for just an average grinder! My servers weren't lively, knowledgeable, I didn't feel the meat was the best quality. I ordered a chicken ceasar wrap and it was terrible. I took one bite and spit it in the trash. The chicken tastes like rubber and the lettuce was warm and soggy. I was so excited going in, but then I realized that I should have just gone 5 minutes down the road to DaBellas and gotten a sub or wrap there. At least their prices are reasonable and their food is way better qaulity. I will never go back there and I would never advise anyone to order food their either, unless you like disappointments. I work in a dr's office and we decided on Jersey Mike's today for our weekly office lunch. I've never had them, never really heard about them either, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I mean, we are talking sandwiches here. A few of the girls said they were "ok" and other's said they liked the freshness and the bread. I opted for the Turkey and Provolone combo regular. For over $10, you get a decent sized sub (which is the perfect size, but you can get bigger for less at better places) a soda and chips. Well, I didn't get my chips and the soda was flat. Another girl in the office ordered cookies @ $2.50 a piece and she didn't get those either. She also mentioned that her soda was flat. So, ok, the sandwich was good, but not $10 good, especially when you don't get everything you ordered. I worked at a different Jersey Mike's location for over a year. Yesterday, I decided to try out the Meriden location. I ordered my sub, took a seat, and waited for them to call my name. Rather than calling my name, the man who made my sub delivered it to my table (not necessary, but absolutely appreciated). The sub looked HUGE; I thought maybe it was wrapped in a ton of tinfoil. This sub was, indeed, HUGE and it was absolutely delicious. I couldn't believe how much better it was from any sub I had made or received from the other location. The sub LOOKED amazing too; it was visually perfect. I highly suggest this location to anyone who is trying to enjoy a Jersey Mike's sub. read more
