While I don't typically leave reviews for chains/franchises, we had specific allergen needs in our group and I know Jersey Mike's to have an excellent gluten allergen process. This store was brightly lit and welcoming. There were two of us in the group, and we ordered two sandwiches (one each). The woman who helped us was so incredibly kind and immediately worked to accommodate the allergy. My friend with me was visiting from Canada and was impressed with their process for gluten free orders. They have individually wrapped gluten free sub rolls by Udi's, ensure the sub never touches the cutting board/line, she washed her hands and put on new gloves. There is a separate gluten free knife they use for these orders. My friend mentioned how she almost never has bread as large as they offered on their menu, fully enjoyed her sandwich, and we can confirm there was no gluten reaction over time. It can be so difficult to find options, and we were so grateful to have Jersey Mike's available with a team that did not make it feel like a burden. Oh, my sandwich was great too! I ordered on the app a couple days ago and it was disappointing. I've ordered from the app many times and 4/5 times they're either very stingy with the protein and/or toppings. I always ask for extra pickles and jalapeños and they were barely any and no banana peppers at all. (Yes I added it.) There were also barely any tomatoes. I always order a giant to eat multiple times. The sandwich was HALF the size of the photo in my first review. When I order in person they always get it right with the portion and toppings to ensure you get everything in every bite. But it's frustrating to have to "watch" them to get it right. The inconsistency is frustrating when their subs are not cheap and it defeats the purpose of the convenience of ordering in the app. I used to love coming here and ordered very often. Prior to them opening I honestly never craved sandwiches like that and I saw a bunch of reviews about JM's so I'm glad they opened closer to me The first time I went we ate there and walking in the line was at the door. Good signs I hoped and that turned out to be true!! They moved quickly, staff was fast, and they are organized. I looked over the menu prior to coming so I knew beforehand what I wanted. On to the food, I got a club supreme (#9) mikes way which means (onions, lettuce, tomato, red wine vinegar, olive oil and spices) except I got no onions. Add extra pickle and banana peppers. They are generous with the meat and it's sliced as you order it which I like as other places aren't so generous with meat portions. I got my mom a chipotle cheese steak (#43). We both really enjoyed our subs and she's someone that isn't big on sandwiches so I knew when she liked it that must mean it's good! Prices are okay, I mean it's a pretty decent size for the price but I do like the quality a lot and the service so that's a plus! Since Blackstone bought Jersey Mike's it's becoming so bad. The size of the sandwiches are clearly smaller. The Giant used to be a decent size, now it is laughable. This location has lowered the amount of meat they put on a sandwich. It was terrible being charged for 2 regular sizes when my husband ordered a Giant. First time was a few nights ago near closing time. We decided to split the long sandwich. I'm not sure if it's a foot long so that's why I'm calling it the long sandwich. We got turkey, ches, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper. Made it a combo with a drink and chips. Got a brownie and a cookie. Then we paid $29 and change!!! I thought that was a bit much. We were able to eat half of our halves that evening and enjoy the other halves the following day. The sandwich had plenty of meat and other toppings so no complaints there and everything was fresh which was refreshing. I think I'll return and just skip the sweets to keep the price down. 0/10, I wouldn't recommend this place. The employees do NOT practice hand hygiene. During my visit, there were about 5-6 employees standing around with gloves on. I observed several employees: touching objects, wipe countertop with a dirty cloth, take orders, make sandwiches, and collect money using the SAME gloves. NONE of the employees changed their gloves or wash their hands. One employee went as far as using his apron to clean his dirty gloves he was wearing & then made my sandwich. And to make matters worse, when I brought it to his attention, he began laughing. It wasn't until I requested a refund that another guy offered to change his gloves and make my sandwich. I've been ordering the past two weeks off of Uber Eats and DoorDash and I finally had the chance to come in today being that it was a free Sunday. It is a beautiful restaurant it's not mediocre like a subway or Quiznos. It has a good vibe to it. The service was great. The management greeted me as soon as I walked in the door the uniforms are clean and well put together being in hospitality. Our uniform speaks for the business and these kids look like they love the job they like to come to work, and they were very polite Though it looks like Mrs. meat cutter has been in the business for a while. This is not her first rodeo nor her first job. It is a new place. It will become busy at times and it does have Uber eats and DoorDash which probably sends constant business. Also, if you need a break ask for one but your face screams. I'm sick of this shit, if the job pays well but it's not something that you want to do. We have all been there but at least fake it till you make it. We have always been in your shoes but some of us and hospitality have dealt with it in other ways, never show your true emotion on the front line you want to continue getting a paycheck your patrons pay your paycheck. Keep on making good food. I will be returning because I love a good quality sandwich. Looking forward to trying a hot sub soon. Jersey Mike's I've been in a chokehold since the first bite.
