My mom took me here a few months back. I heard mixed reviews but I like a good chicken salad sandwich. And after dining here, I had no idea there could be so many options! You get in the line and the menu is on the wall. There is, however, a big shelf wall thing that sort of blocks your view of the wall menu, so maybe that can be moved or somewhere rearranged. Because as I was waiting in line, it made it difficult to decide and others were saying the same. But the worlds happiest manager came along and joyously explained the process and offered any chicken salad we wanted to try to just let him or the staff know and we are welcome to it. He was so happy, he really made the experience. I wish I could rent him for an hour a day just to bring a happiness dose of medicine in my life every day. Anyway, I ordered the Lemon one. Wow! who knew a plain chicken salad sandwich would be so good! It was not overly lemony. It was just hints of lemon and so refreshing. I really enjoyed it. More friendly staff came by and offered any samples we wanted. I tried the BBQ and the Fancy Nancy. Very good too! I liked the Fancy Nancy a little better than the BBQ, but that is just my taste. My first time having Chicken Salad chick and it did not disappoint. The front staff were so sweet and welcoming. I let them know that it was my first time and they answered any questions that I had about the menu. I decided on The Chick combo which came with a scoop of their famous chicken salad and a side, which I chose their seasonal strawberry salad. The cost was very reasonable which I appreciated. Both of my food items were delicious, I wished I had ordered two scoops of chicken salad, and I loved the poppy seed dressing. The first time I went, I tried the Jazzy Julie chicken salad BLT with the broccoli salad. It also comes with a delicious little cookie. The second time, I tried the Kickin' Kay Lynne. It's hard to say which one I liked best. They both were great and aren't the way that I prep chicken salad at home, which makes it a selling point. So I was elated to find they had opened a franchise in Metairie. I ordered my usuals for my husband and I and while waiting for the food to be prepared the driver thru attendant chatted with me and was so pleasant and offered a sample of their seasonal chicken salad that was about to be discontinued in preparation for the new flavor to be released. I think his name was Jonathan. We bonded over our love of chicken salad in general and over all it was such a pleasant experience. I waited quite a while after the grand opening because of lines and the popularity and anticipation of this location opening. I was able to make it here on a Saturday afternoon. I forgot to take pictures but was greeted by a short line and friendly service. They had an inviting open fridge of prepacked specialties The single serve packages of popular flavors were already sold out but I was able to get 2 and one larger package that had four servings. Packaging is charming. Display and cleanliness was done well. Prices were not cheap but I hope that reflects the quality of the product. I have never been in another chain location this is my first. Small packaging was $8 and the 4 setting was $14. The product is delicious. They even gave a nice amount of single serve crackers and forks with my order. The young lady behind the counter was patient as I stumbled signing up online for their rewards program. I'll admit I don't know the entire benefit of the program yet still signed up. I will be back. But it is not something I plan to do often since I find it pricey yet a good product. When I do, I will remember to add pictures. read more

Tried a classic chicken salad BLT sandwich and THE Barbie-Q scoop. The classic is just ground chicken and mayo so not much flavor and no seasoning. The Barbie-q I thought would be a smoked chicken but they just add barbecue sauce. The pickle spear was great and there was a free mini cookie reminiscent of the iced sugar cookies from a grocer. Brand new location - you've got to visit! We've been hooked on Chicken Salad Chick, but have been driving to Slidell and Gulfport to feed our addiction. So happy this location is now open! Franchise owner was there when we arrived today @ 10:05A to pick up food for us and for my hairdresser & her staff to try. (Share the love!) Were super excited to see our friend from the Slidell location behind the counter. She's near us now! Line was already 10 people deep, and the drive through was open. However, seeing all these people, the owner opened all 3 registers and we were ordered, paid and out the door in under 20 min. (That includes chat time. :) ) Kudos to this owner, also, for praising his wonderful, willing staff who stepped up to the challenge with smiles and grace. I saw a few kinks with some orders, but noticed those were also handled with okay, we'll fix it right now. The Lauren Lemon Basil and Fruity Fran were loved by the hairdresser crew. The chicken poblano soup, the pasta salad, and our sandwiches were devoured in short measure. My fav is the Dixie Chick with lots of onions, and his is Kickin Kay Lynne. I'm really disappointed. First few visits were fabulous... but last week, I ordered a Fruity Fran and a Deck the Holly, two separate orders, each with a fruit salad side. Drive thru packaged both chicken salad scoops as one order with ONE fruit salad side. I quickly informed them and tried to give the incorrect order back, but they instead made another of the same erroneous order and asked me to pay an additional amount for THAT. Should've been a replacement... but I was out of lunch break time because they were taking entirely too long at the drive thru. So, I rolled my eyes and handed my card back to their drive thru personnel. I called back and spoke with the manager who took my name and promised two comped meals of what I had actually wanted and could not make drive thru understand easy instructions. Went back this evening, and the manager wasn't there. Ended up with two Quick Chicks, the pre scooped salads in the refrigerator: Fruity Fran and a Jalapeño Holly... not a Deck the Holly. Additionally, no cookie sides, additional charge of $10 for a fruit salad, and a bag almost overflowing with crackers... not a cookie at all in there. So, three orders... none of them what I wanted. The staff will give you a sample to help you decide. Labels clearly describe each flavor. Parking on Veterans location safe & comfortable. I've never tried the inside seating in this location but it seems to be generous & well spaced for conversations. Delicious! So many flavors to choose from that if you're a true chicken salad aficionado you can eat here many times and never get bored. Jalapeño Holly and Fancy Nancy are two personal faves but all of them are tasty. Also love the grape and broccoli salads. There are sandwich options outside of chicken salad that I still want to try plus a variety of soups and other sides like mac and cheese and pimento cheese spread. It's always busy so I hope that's a harbinger of things to come and they are a permanent fixture on the veterans corridor. I ate thr Barbie-Q Sadwich on a croissant along with thrir Potado Soup, my Wife ate Sassy Scotty Chicken Salad and Tortilla Soup, our Daughter ate the same thing as my Wife. We had lunch for the first time today. We really hope they open another loaction in Kenner, where Arby's used to be!
