I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Jersey Mike's location today. I've been a loyal customer and have eaten at Jersey Mike's across the country, including in Hawaii, and have never been treated this poorly. The young man behind the counter spoke to me in a way that was disrespectful and condescending. It was upsetting enough that I asked him to stop making my order and left the store. This interaction felt completely inappropriate, and frankly, I do not believe he would have spoken to a male customer in the same manner. I will be reporting this to management directly. As someone who works in media, I do not take experiences like this lightly, and I intend to make others aware. read more

I've ordered subs from this shop ( in Middletown) for MANY years, and today might be the last time! I bought a "giant" #5 "Super" sub, which I believe cost me over $18. I brought it to work with me and I can't leave or I would take it to them and ask if it was a joke! This sub was so scantly filled that I would have to take the "guts" out of two sections and combine them to make a "normal" looking sub! I just called them to see if the manager is going to be there when I get off work, and she won't be, so I told him about my problem and he said they're hearing that a lot, lately! I was in the mood for a cheesesteak and needed to bring dinner home quick before my husband had to leave. This is a go to place for us for the best sandwiches. My favorite part is that they cut the cold cuts to order. It's fresh. I have also seen towards the back the employees preparing fresh veggie by slicing in up in store. I have read others complain about price but I would pay a little more for something that is fresh and not preserved in a container and shipped to the store. The bread is also baked fresh in the store. This visit I feel like the cheesesteak was much better on a fresh and very soft roll. I ordered one chicken and one steak sandwich. The meat for those sandwiches were also cooked to order on the grill. I didn't mind waiting a little longer for that. The employees are always very nice and greet you when you walk in. I would give zero stars if I could. I placed an order for delivery through the Jersey Mikes app on 11/11. When delivered, half my order was missing and the chips I ordered were expired. I ended up having to go to the restaurant after work and exchange the expired chips as well as pick up what was missing from my order. EVERY single bag of chips out for sale had been expired for at least a month. The employee had to go to the back to get me a fresh bag. I reached out to online customer service regarding these issues. They have not answered my numerous emails from 11/11. Poor customer service at every turn. read more

We have been here twice and the staff is very forgetful or doesn't listen close enough. Every time we order a sub in a tub they forget and make it on bread and we have to remind them we ordered a sub in a tub. When I ordered #9 Club Supreme they didn't include the bacon and I didn't realize until I got home to eat it- I shouldn't have to remind them about adding the bacon if it's listed on the menu. I just got a tuna sub from this Jersey Mike's. DON'T. I ordered lettuce, onion, provolone, and vinegar on it. No onion, and two skinny skinny pieces of provolone. The tuna was watery dark meat, sloshing off the bread in its gooeyness, and even though it was grossly watery, there were still blocks of dried out tuna stuck together in it. I've had a turkey sub from here and it wasn't bad but this tuna was horrible. Plus you end up feeling like you got a bread sandwich no matter what you pick. read more

I drove over an hour to try and find a deli that Yelp had said was awesome... alas we couldn't find it (address was wrong) so as a last ditch effort for a quick bite to eat before a concert we stopped at Jersey Mike's. I have to say that I was impressed at the quality of the sub. Everyone was happy with their order, and I especially liked that you can choose to have your sub without bread (yes I know, sounds sacrilege) but it is a great option for those that are gluten free or just want something lighter. I had the buffalo chicken and it was really good - nice chunks of chicken with a good heat level, blue cheese, and fresh lettuce and tomato. First of all, let me start by saying what an absolute rip off this place is. Spent just over $10 on a combo for a sad looking sandwich, chips and a drink that lasted all of three sips. During on of my visits there, I had asked for a chipotle cheesesteak without peppers and onions. What did they give me??? A ton of peppers and onions. It was a disgusting sloppy mess. It was almost inedible. I went back thinking I'd give them another chance and got the chicken club. The woman making my sandwich was obviously a trainee, but my issue was that there was absolutely no one looking after her. I had to repeat myself several times of how I wanted my sandwich because she was so easily frazzled and confused, which became frustrating. My sandwich had more oil than vinegar. The two measly strips of bacon I received were burnt. The sandwich was pathetic. This place is overrated. Go to a real deli and get your money's worth. read more

If you come in to place an order on a weekend around lunch time, expect to wait in a long line, although the line does move rather quick, and it's worth the wait; you won't be disappointed. For a newly opened shop, the service was fantastic, very friendly attentive staff, they slice your meats right in front of you, it doesn't get any fresher than that, I ordered a #5 and the only issue I had was that they really go heavy on the oil/vinegar, I'm certain that next time I order that I will tell them to go easy on that, they ask if you want extra condiments so it turns out to be a truly custom sandwich. I have no night vision but I know NJ so I drove to find this spot with yes, wait for it, my husband who was gripping the armrest.
