Zoe's Emilio's is a wonderful local restaurant with awesome Mexican flavors. I've come for breakfast a few times and the food is consistently great. I really like the Huevos Rancheros which is a bit of a different twist on what you would normally get, and the baked dish is also so good! The service is so friendly and you feel like you are family when you come here. They are family friendly and have great traditional breakfast options for kids. I loved my whole dinner. Everything was amazing, it seemed to mesh French and Mexican food and we ordered a ton of food for my young family. I misread the dress code and we wore shorts ( I won't do that again) . They had a table for us and while service was slightly slow, it was warm and hospitable. I had shrimp & grits with bacon bits and if you love it like i do - perfection! We shared fried calamari and i had a blissful flan my friend had key lime confection- yummy. To cap it off i brought home seared scallops and grilled cauliflower for hubby. He loved it all fresh and delish. The servers came back often to check on us. From sitting outside on their patio with some friends to a nice intimate dinner inside the ambiance is perfect for any dining experience. We popped in for brunch on Cinco De Mayo. We had been wanting to check this place out for a while. We ordered the Emilio's Omelette and the Center Ave Benedict. The portions were fair and plated well, but in my opinion the flavors were lacking. The fruit was possibly the best part. The egg for the omelette was under seasoned and the poached eggs for the benedict were overcooked and not runny. The hollandaise sauce also didn't have a ton of flavor. One of our dishes was served without potatoes due to a mix up with our order. We shared with the server and then someone else came over to correct, and he was great but we were actually still up charged for the fruit we did not order, at least it was just a dollar. There was a small language barrier with the server which is no big deal, but our order was incorrect which isn't ideal. Nobody came over to check on us during our entire meal either which also seemed a bit odd as the restaurant was fairly empty. However, when I dropped my fork another very pleasant server rushed one over within seconds which was very nice of her. Overall, glad we came in but not rushing to come back. read more

Loved this amazing new restaurant in Atlantic Highlands. Cozy and quaint with warm and friendly service, we loved our first visit. We came for Sunday Brunch after seeing the seals at Sandy Hook. We loved the menu and its variety. Everything from the table settings to the food was carefully curated. I had the Chilaquiles with salsa verde and it was very good. It made me think about how amazing dining here for dinner would be! The other photo is of the Farms Omelette, which was also very good, I was told. Good - we did feel like the pricing was high, we had two orders of eggs with green sauce (one with no meat) and 2 cups of coffee each and it was $70. That is pricy for breakfast, especially when it's two eggs on-top of tortilla chips. It was tasty, but not worth that high price tag, I feel like I would have paid less in Manhattan. My SIL was raving about the restaurant and suggested we go there for Brunch after a spa date. Super friendly upon walking inside and we were seated right away (it was a weekday). I had a coffee and ordered the Magical Mushroom Hibiscus Sandwich (avocado, brie, mushroom, ham, onion and adobo sauce on sourdough). And the table had an order or French toast. Coffee was just ok. Must visit if you're anywhere near the area! We visit family in Jersey at least once a year. On the last morning of the trip, it's now a tradition to all meet for breakfast. The food, the service, and the staff are all incredible! Completely family run operation. So inviting. They have outdoor seating and in the back a room that can accommodate probably a party of 20 (we usually have 12-15). You would expect with a party that large that maybe you'd have to wait for the food. But incredibly it comes out quickly (it's not bob Evans so it's a little wait but every dish is plated beyond any expectations. You know by just looking at it, it's going to taste amazing). Everything any of us have had we all love. It's always difficult to decide! They have vegetarian options, too. And fresh squeezed OJ which is immediately clear the first sip you take that they did in fact squeeze the oranges. I can't say enough good things! And make sure you get a bottle of their homemade hot sauce! Wow! Oh ya and the coffee is amazing. Took one to go to enjoy the next day on ice lol. I only wish I lived closer, I'd be here at least once a week! I'd like to thank the owners for taking great care of us! Let me preface the review by saying I only feed my daughter organic, so I usually have to bring her food wherever we go. She hardly ever gets to eat off a menu. Once I saw that Zoe's Emilio's Kitchen was organic, it made my life so much easier on family night out. We ate there about a month ago and they squeezed us in on a Saturday night without a reservation, which was very much appreciated. I had been looking at the lunch menu (quesadillas, tacos, sandwiches, etc.) and hadn't realized how different the dinner menu was going to be. My boyfriend and I got the Filet Mignon because we didn't recognize much else. The steak was great and the Rice Melosa was amazing. The kids got the burger and fries. The fries were a little big for kids but everything tasted good. My only con is the lighting. At one point they dimmed the lights a bit too much. I have never been a fan of eating in the dark. 100% I would return. If it were closer to my house I'd go once a week if the rest of the menu is as good as what we tried. I really want to try the lunch menu since there are more options for us. read more

It's been a while since we've last been to Zoe's Kitchen . We haven't been here since it's got a new owner. The place looked the same as before, when we entered. We got immediately seated after arriving but the place was pretty full. Daughter ordered the Guacamole & Egg Toast, which is choice of arugula, basil and tomato or salsa verde, pico de Gallo and quest fresco served on sourdough or memela. We had to google memela and see what that was. She found out it was toasted cakes made of masa and liked it a lot. Hubs ordered the Chilaquiles, which was a choice of red or green sauce, tortilla chips, chorizo ,eggs, avocado, quest fresco and cream. He ordered the green sauce and loved it and said It was as good as the ones he had in the West Coast, if not better. Lastly, I had the Blue Loaded Pancakes, which is blueberry batter, homemade blueberry jam and maple syrup. The pancake was filled with blueberries and it was delicious! The blueberry jam was delicious as well . Coffee was constantly refilled and we were happy. Manager was constantly going around checking to make sure everything was ok. Glad we made a return trip.
