This was probably the worst experience I've ever had at any Jersey Mike's. The female employee who was working tonight around 8 PM on Friday, dec 28th I had the worst customer service I have ever encountered with. Everything was an issue she did not want to help me and it was like I was a complete inconvenience to her. Sorry you have to work at Jersey Mike's on a Friday at 8 PM. Very rude and unprofessional. Have worked in customer service for many years. No greeting actually, I even overlooked while standing in line. Waited politely for about 4 minutes and asked if I could have some help. And was rudely greeted, As if I waz a burden. They already were helping the lady that was standing behind me and taking her order. You may have great food but if you have no service and are rude, people will find Another place to spend their money and get quality food somewhere else. I had already called in my order. I was just waiting to be acknowledged so that I could pay and I do normally tip this is the 1st time in a long time that I did not have anything. The young ladies behind the counter had no professionalism and obviously had not been trained. I don't want to be rude and name their names. I've been to only two other Jersey Mike's in the past. Never impressed with food or service. This one is new and closest to my home. Ordered over net during the Corona virus calamity. Couldn't have been a better experience. Picked up order from the friendly staff a few minutes ahead of printed time. Made the pick up safe and store was setup for reminders of social distancing. Employees who are not on the clock should not be in the back of the place. I watched "an off the clock" employee take a rather large log of meat that was old and bowl it down towards the registers while 2 employees were actively helping other customers. Also watched an employee go in the back room take her hair out of a ponytail but it back into a ponytail roll it into a bun then proceed to cover her hands with gloves, while lacking to actually wash her hands after putting her hands all in her hair. Called the place to find out who the GM was? Little did I know she was actually in the restaurant when all of this went down. Will not be back! read more

Overall I will avoid this location. I will drive the extra 5 minutes to the Ynez location because at least they listen to what I am ordering. The two girls working today just were unbelievable. They did not listen to what I was orsering. First sandwich was a 43. Chipotle Philly steak with mushroom, Instead I got mustard Philly cheese steak. No Chipotle sauce. I asked 3 times before I left if she put the Chipotle sauce on. I was reassured that yes we did. (Eye roll)... second sandwich number 8 with avocado and pickles. She almost forgot twice the avocados. Was in for a sandwich today, took a little bit, they were pretty busy but that was OK, I was willing to wait. As I waited the young lady cutting the meat and putting it on the bread was busy at work but as I stood there I noticed that the machine that cuts the meat was sliding over one of the tops of the bread and It kept hitting it and as I got closer I noticed there was grease from the machine on the bread I let the gal know. But all she did was take it out from underneath the machine and set it with the other bread and whoever was going to get that take-out order, was going to get that bread with the grease from the machine!!!because I guarantee you it was not removed from the sandwich area. My wife and I have been going to Jersey Mike's on Madison from day one. We love, love your subs, We were so excited to see that a Jersey Mike's was opening up in walking distance from our home. We always call in our order and we have done this for the pass three weeks and ever time our order was incorrect, Plus they just do not taste as good as the other Jersey Mike's. So this week she went back to the Madison location and our first bite was like coming home. Big difference. Please do not get me wrong the staff at the Murrieta Hot Springs are very pleasant, I just don't think they really know what they are doing. Jersey Mikes makes a pretty good sandwich. But the employees at this location need some closer supervision. It seems like every time I go to this location, the employees are more focused on their personal conversations rather then the rare customer that comes through the door. The other night I went in to pick up dinner for my wife and I consisting of two subs. I had to repeat my order at least three times because she seemed too focused on a hysterical conversation with her male coworker. Then a separate worker had to ring me up who happened to be in the back. Rather then walking to the back to get her, she just started yelling her name out with no response. Finally she came out to ring me up and asked me again what I ordered when the other two employees just stood there messing around with each other. I totally understand having a good time at work and enjoying the people you work with. But when it interferes with the one main goal of your job (customer service), I get a little irritated as a customer. It is clear management has no control of the employees. I think I'd rather go to the other nearby sandwich shop based on the service alone. read more

I probably shouldn't admit to how much I love the sandwiches...being from Jersey, the idea of finding food "the way they make it back home" is usually not likely to happen. Tried Jersey Mikes twice. The Italian sub was basically all bread and lettuce they are very stingy with the meat. A large sub is nearly $15. Also tried the meatball sub which was just mediocre. This place is all hype not a good sandwich not even reasonably priced. Go somewhere else! read more

New location that sent out coupons in the mail, I'm a sucker for a free meal so I decided to grab some lunch. I'm not usually a big fan of Jersey Mikes because they don't offer as many options ie spinach, bell peppers etc (I'm a Submarina fan) but this place always tastes better than Subway imo. Staff here was excellent.... friendly, professional, and with a clean appearance. Always keeping busy and offering to get me a refill while I sat and enjoyed my lunch. I used to be very impressed with this place, the location is convenient and very clean. The sandwiches are some of the best I have ever had. However is very disappointing that almost every time I place an order they always get it wrong. I will specifically and clearly request that some toppings be left off and they mess up. I am not sure why it's so hard to make a sub sandwich without onions and mayo...I generally don't like to leave negative reviews but for the love of God enough is enough. Almost every time I make a phone order or online order for either the original Italian or big kahuna sub and ask for no onion and no mayo they add onion and or mayo. Jersey Mikes is not a cheap sandwich and you would think if you hold yourself as a "sub above" you could follow a simple customer request. Just opened up down the street from my house. The usual excellent quality one would expect from a JM's. My only complaint is the portion sizes compared to their other location on Madison where we used to go to. I understand the store is new and you have to keep portions under control with your new employees but, the difference is quite noticeable to the point we started going back to our old location. I would err on the side of over portioning initially if I wanted to establish myself in a new area. My wife and I both moved out here from NJ and we agree that JM's is about as close as we are going to get in CA to the Mom and Pop sub shops back home. read more
