Burger cravings hit hard, so we finally tried The Habit (our 1st time here) and immediately saw the the Build Your Own Family CharBox. 4 burgers, 4 sides, 4 sauces?!?! Say less!!!!!!! We loaded it up with Double Chars, fries, onion rings, fried green beans, sweet potato fries, and every sauce available because moderation clearly wasn't part of the post-workout plan. Everything arrived neatly packed in a giant box that looked like it was meant to feed a family of 4. Instead, it was just me and my hubby. He demolished both of his burgers like a champ, while I tapped out after one Double Char and waved the white flag at burger number 2. I wasn't greeted when I entered in. I waited a while before she took my order and while she was taking my order, she completely ignored me and started helping 2 other customers. When she came back to help me she didn't apologize and I felt like I was getting ignored on purpose so I decided just to order my food on the kiosk instead. What really bothered me was that there was no apology. A customer who saw me waiting and she was being helped before me even told me she apologized. We have come many more times over the last year and the improvements in service and food has been a complete 180. The manager here really pulls together an amazing crew and the young girl that works the front a lot of times we have visited is so sweet. A few new things we have absolutely fell in love with is the newest miso mango chicken salad, the Baja fish sandwich, the street corn tots and their newest blue wave shake is also bomb, highly recommend. So definite props to the manager I will update to three stars. I can't give it four or five because the food is just not great here. I'll definitely not be coming back. The idea that the system would ask for a tip after they just take an order and even then they wanted you to use the automated is wild to me. But they're ignoring and the attitude is wild. Time for a little retraining on customer service and get rid of them automated ordertaking. There's plenty of people that need jobs right now. It was a very busy Friday evening when we arrived. We were warmly greeted by Lupe. She repeated our order as I could tell she wanted to make sure it was correct as we made a couple of changes. Honestly a solid burger but I wouldn't consider it the best for fast food. What we really enjoyed were the sides! The tempura green beans and onion rings ARE the best by far of any fast food chains. Both were perfectly fried and delicious. This location was very clean and due to the "free" promotion the dining area was pretty packed. The service provided by Tina was very good and we saw the staff working very hard. I was pleasantly surprised with the pepper bar! Loved it as they had 3 different kinds of peppers and lemons. It had been a while since I've been to The Habit. Normally my family and I go to the one in Temecula, but we happened to be in the area running errands and decided to visit the Murrietta location. I have seen the other reviews, but had not experienced what they had. The friendly employee at the register took our orders at the counter..and although the restaurant was quite busy with nearly all of the tables filled, our order did not take long to cook. Everything was cooked as ordered, the green beans were perfectly crisp and not oily and everyone at my table was pleased with what they ordered. We even went around lunch time on a weekend! Normally with a kids meal, their hamburgers only come with ketchup as a condiment. If you want to add more, it is free of charge! One of us preferred more than just cheese and ketchup. we added lettuce, tomato, mayo, and it was made as ordered. If your kids want something other than french fries, you can do so and swap for an additional charge! Would I come here again? Tonight we got The Habit and we don't eat out much. It was a total of almost $60 just me and my husband and my daughter when she got there she asked them for a side of ranch. They wanted to charge her five extra dollars.. I was really disappointed in that. They have great food. I have tried most of the menu, and a few items that were promotions, and everything has been delicious. All food is cooked to order, fresh, generously prepared and delivered hot to you for takeout or dining in. Their orders are very reliable for being made the way you asked. The employees are working hard, efficiently, and the service is always with a smile. The store has plenty of outdoor and indoor dining space. It's a family burger place, and well lit and safe for all. They do take mobile orders, although most people seem to order at the counter. They do also deliver to your car. This place was better than expected. I had visited another location and decided to try it again. When we arrived people were lined up outside to get in and order? It seemed odd to me, like the placement of the ordering station vs the front door was not right. Anyhow, I walked in to look at the menu while my husband waited outside in line. This time around I decided to go with a grilled chicken Caesar salad and it was the right choice! The right serving size and everything tasted delicious. I really came in for the green beans, surprisingly enough. I've been craving them since my last visit. They are amazing! Add a little ranch to dip in and there's no turning back, you'll be hooked. My husband had the Santa Barbara char burger with a side of onion rings. He devoured it. My kids had the crispy bites with fries. One said it was thumbs up, the other said it was, meh. They are becoming chocolate milk connoisseurs since they try it at every restaurant we go to... they both agreed this chocolate milk was yummy. I arrived at 930pm on 5/23/25 and the restaurant was filled with customers and there were people still waiting on food yet the door was locked. The restaurant is supposed to be open until 10pm. I knocked on the door and an elderly lady whom works there came to the door and said "we are closed." I've never been turned away for service before during operating hours. I'm assuming they locked the doors for the workers to leave work on time when their shift is supposed to end. We all get busy at work, we all leave past the time we are supposed to finish by. When a customer expects a business to be open upon arrival just to find out it's not, is inconvenient and a waste of time. Maybe change your hours on your door to a different time for customers if you want to close early so we aren't wasting our time after we finish our work day to dive there to order dinner just for it to be "open" but locked preventing anyone else from entering. I won't be returning to this location again, and will give my business to your competitors in the area. What a shame. read more
