Shannon the so called, "manager" is rude, loud and shows she does not care about customers. I asked for mayo on my sub and she yells at me out loud, "I got ya!" So, when I get my sub there is NO mayonnaise on the sub. I bring the sub back inside & show her where there is no mayo and she says again LOUDLY so everyone can hear her, "there's mayonnaise under the meat!" She then abruptly pulls the meat off my sub to show me what little mayo she put there. I was appalled of her unprofessional obnoxious and ignorant behavior she displayed as a so called, manager. I gave this location a couple more stars only because it is supposed to be under new management. We did (my spouse) GO IN AND ORDER A COUPLE OF STEAK AND CHEESE THEY GOT RIGHT, but a little too skimpy with the ingredients for the price. I would rather pay more for a properly-sized order and just go in less often. Since I am still not over the treatment by the past ownership--still never going in 2 or 3 times a week like we used to. My wife explained the issues I had in the past. Perhaps if they had a least given me a reduced price or free order--I would have at least known the new management cared. According to another review I saw from last Dec.-it sounds like the red-headed guy may have got his hair cut--but was still working there. I don't know when the current manager took over. Walked in and walked right out after we saw two employees get up from eating at a table, lick their fingers (one wiped their nose) and head over to attempt to make our sandwiches without washing their hands. Per the request of the owner of this location for Jersey Mike,s; my problem with this branch got my order wrong. Three visits in a row. The last time we had an issue--my wife went in to place and wait for the order--repeated it to the cook (he yelled--I got it" but he did not. a red-headed guy that looked like a clown. Tis happened over a year ago--and there may be a different person running the place now. My wife went in 2 or 3 months ago, and she was telling the manager there about our problems in the past. I ended up throwing away about fifty dollars of food last time I went--but no offer for a discount. That order was done correctly. I won't go back myself--nothing worse than getting on the road for a trip and opening your order to find something different than what you ordered that you won't or cannot eat. Best meatball sub I have had in a very long time. My wife's Chicken Parm and son's Steak & Cheese were also delicious. Plus the gentlemen making our subs gave outstanding customer service. The only issue I had was the price because we ordered what we thought was large Subs but were actually Extra Large and they each cost $12 and with drinks it cost $44. Why too much for what I thought I was going to pay at a sub place. They only benefit is we had the other half of our subs for lunch at our beach condo. It was very poor. We ordered two roast beef sandwiches. The gentleman was on the slicer he is short with red-hair and has piercings, gave an attitude to me and my father when we asked if we can have the meat and cheese on the bottom and he just sir I'm putting it on top and flipping the sub over. After this was said he snickered and mumbled to himself. With all the choices of places to get lunch this is one place we will NEVER go to again. I went to the Jersey Mike's in Surfside Beach today. Past experiences have been good. Today, I ordered the #2 Jersey Shore, Provolone, ham and cappacuolo. Didn't notice until I got home, 15 minutes away, that they gave me the wrong sandwich. It was turkey. The person slicing the meats for the sandwich was too busy talking to other employees behind the counter to pay attention to what he was doing. He also had 2 or 3 sandwiches going at the same time. My recommendation to other customers is to watch what they are making for you. I'll give them one more chance and if they screw that one up I will no longer be a customer. read more

No concern for cleanliness. I came to the store to order a sub before heading to work. Upon reaching the door, I saw the two employees sitting at a table outside around the corner smoking cigarettes. They came in store and neither one of them washed their hands before putting on gloves to make my sandwich. They both acted like they could care less. read more

The sandwich was good but the floors were very dirty and grimy. It took longer than I wanted it to making the sandwich. The toppings and condiments were well organized and employees wore masks. If I could give this location ZERO stars, I would. It is dingy, the employees look disgruntled and dirty, the lettuce is always browning, and their work area appears untidy and unkempt. Don't start me on the 'manager', who argued with me as she slapped lettuce and tomatoes on a piece of bread before asking me how I wanted the sandwhich made. When I told her 'oh I don't want tomatoes on that one please', she got an attitude and flicked the tomato off. I didn't go Karen on her and demand a new piece of bread. She explained to me that 'this is how the number one comes'. I stated that I have always been asked what I want on the sandwich at every other location Ive ever been to. She was argumentative and had a craptastic attitude. What I SHOULD HAVE done was cancel my order, but I bucked up and attempted to let it roll. Which is exactly what she did with her eyes when I thanked them AND tipped. That's when I had enough and called her a choice name: I use descriptive choices. Boy was she mad. I thought she may come over the counter at me. She followed me out and told me she was the manager and that I am banned. I love Jersey Mike's...first experienced a number of years back in Myrtle Beach. I love that they cut the meat to order and "Mike's Way" is also my way. The people behind the counter are always friendly and I love being able to order ahead with the online app on my phone !! I am generally not a fan of chain stores, but Mike's is consistent from store to store and the people make the stores ! Lackluster service and a clear concern for profit and not repeat customers define this place! We have been coming here on vacation for years and the quality has declined significantly! We got very expensive subs ($52 for a family of six and we shared drinks), the heat appeared to be OFF in freezing temperatures, and we were informed that subs with onion only on one half were subject to being charged separately for each half! There was also barely any meat on the sandwiches. With so many great places to eat around here, there is no room for something like this.
