Nice location in N. Charleston near the Tanger Outlets. Restaurant was clean and employees friendly. All were wearing masks and those handling food had gloves on. Easy in and out. They have a lot of good looking sub options. I highly recommend #43, the chipotle cheese steak, on rosemary parm bread. The chipotle mayo is really good. I added tomatoes which gave a nice flavor bonus, but I'm a tomato fan so... The only negative for JM's is their prices. $8-$9 for a 7" sub is a little high; same for their drinks at $2.19-$2.29. The tiny 4" subs are $6-$6.50. The best deal is their Giant subs at $14-$15; they're 14" and easily enough food for two people.

First time here at this location and I don't recall ever eating at a Jersey Mikes. The ads kept getting to us and we gave it a try. Glad we did. I ordered the roast beef, turkey, Swiss with bacon and they didn't cheat me on anything. Great quality and fresh. The only reason it's not 5 star is I do feel like it's just a tad expensive. One sandwich about 7 inches long is almost 10 bucks (after tax). I didn't get anything else, so that's a bit high for a cold sandwich. We went on a Sunday at about 1, we were the only ones there at the time, more customers came later. The people working all wore masks and gloves. It was clean inside everywhere. They were all very nice and polite to us. My bf really enjoyed his steak sandwich a lot so we both were happy with our choices.

I am a HUGE fan of Jersey Mike's. However, I will not come back to this location. My husband and I came in for lunch on Saturday afternoon. We walked in and three men were working. They were all leaned up on the counter watching the football game and we were not even greeted. We said hello and received a blank stare. We we were never asked what we would like. They continued to watch the game the whole time we were there. The tables were not wiped down. The doorbell they have connected to the door is insanely annoying. I could of dealt with that if the customer service was better. Sorry we interrupted the football game. I will go to the other two Jersey Mike's locations I frequent.

I wish the customer service and preparation of my meal would have had the same attention as the football game on the tv was receiving. I said hello to the staff, no communication back, seemed I was a bother for being there interrupting the game on. Very disappointing experience.

Jersey Mike's Subs on International Boulevard in North Charleston is a great place to stop for a good sandwich when you are hungry and in need of something quick. The sandwiches here are well made and the ingredients are very fresh and tasty. The staff here is very efficient at getting everything done fast while still maintaining quality. They have been consistent with their quality every time I have been here and have never let me down.

Huge roast beef, 2 chips, 2 drinks=$20 and it was delicious!! Love their bread! Yum

First time trying this chain and I really like it. I've stayed away for so long thinkin it was another silly chain. What is it with their bread? I really like their bread. Lol I've heard that they were pretty consistent with their flavors throughout all their locations. Also, I've heard they make their roast beef and bread in house. I wonder if you can add more meat to the sandwich, I just wished I had more meat!!! That would be so bomb. The bread is thin and you can squish it down and it's kinda awesome. And it was fresh and tasty too. It has a real NJ deli feel to it whereas Subway is just Subway. I would definitely choose Jersey Mike's over Subway any day. Also, their fun logo on the sandwich paper, cup, and brown bag makes you feel like you're at a ball park. When you just can't eat anymore soul food or BBQ, come here and get a delicious roast beef sub! Mmmm!

Giant #5 on wheat. Picture worthy!

It was so good I had to go back! The Brunch bowl is what I order both times ( I wish I tried something else) and the "grit balls" were delicious. Service was fast and prompt even with a full house. And the woman at the counter (she was in the kitchen and ran food, greeted guests as they pick up their food, possibly a chef) was EXTREMELY nice and outgoing. She seemed to really enjoy her position and kept order in the kitchen. Food was delicious if I haven't already said so, so much flavor, a Carolina quality kinda spot! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional, yet casual place to dine. Thank you Grit Counter!

The parking lot was packed, and most tables were already taken when we walked in, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and then grab a seat while they bring the food out to you. The menu is extensive, with plenty of dishes built around grits (as the name suggests). I went with the chicken and waffles, and it was loaded with flavor--crispy fried chicken breasts, a Belgian waffle, chunks of bacon, and a blueberry compote on the side. The whole plate was enormous; I definitely didn't finish it. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fish platter with French fries, and it was equally generous in size. We also started with the grit fritters as an appetizer, and they were fantastic--crispy on the outside and a nice surprise inside. Overall, the food was really on point with big, satisfying portions. The waitstaff seemed super busy but stayed friendly and attentive. The only downside for me was having to bus your own table at the end. Prices for lunch felt a little high at first glance, but when you consider the huge portions, they're pretty reasonable. We'll definitely be heading back soon.

However, make certain they are trained and well equipped to handle this role! We waited over 7 minutes to just order, then the young man that attempted to place our order was very flustered! This was rightly so as we learned this was his first day and his trainer was no where to be found. He admitted that this had been happening the entire shift so far. My daughter had previously worked at a Chic Fil-A in her earlier years and actually took the pad and placed the order for us. He was so thankful! We pull around and waited another 7-10 minutes after we were asked to pull up! At this point and the lack of service, I walked and to get a refund and tell them not to bother! The manager Ale was also clueless but did offer to make my order after I showed her my phone. I again thanked her but told her they really needed to get a grip of things. She refunded my money and we made a better choice not to patronize this place until they get a clue or proper training. The young lady at the drive-thru with the long braids in a pony tail needs to adjust her attitude with those who are rightly vocal about the wait and them unable to find a order after an 15 minute wait!

Pollo Loko - North Charleston, SC…read more The wife and I stopped into Pollo Loko for a quick lunch, not expecting much... and wow, what a surprise this place turned out to be. First off, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. You don't always get that kind of attention these days, so it really stood out. The restaurant itself was spotless, well-kept, and had a great vibe. You can tell they take pride in the place. Now let's talk about the food -- because this is where they really shine. We started with the empanadas, which were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. For our main, we ordered the Peruvian chicken, served with fries and rice, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired incredibly well with their signature sauces -- seriously, those sauces take everything to another level. Even the salad was fresh and tasty, which says a lot because that's usually an afterthought at most places. On top of that, they've got a great selection of sodas and other drinks, making it a perfect stop for a casual lunch. Bottom line: An unexpected gem with amazing food, top-tier service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. **Highly recommend -- 5 stars, 3 thumbs up from us.

I'm still looking for a peruvian restaurant that has the spicy green sauce that most all peruvian restaurants have in California.
