I would like to start out by saying that I'm a huge fan of Mike's Subs. I go to this location regularly, and I've never had an issue before. I went there yesterday, when I got my order it was the wrong sandwich. That wasn't a big deal at all, I brought it back to the counter and they gave me the correct sandwich. The issue I have is that when I gave the wrong sandwich back, the employee rewrapped it and gave it to another customer despite the fact that I had opened it and touched it. This practice is unsanitary, ESPECIALLY in the age of covid. I called the location a few hours later to discuss the matter with the manager. When I spoke with him he did not seem to care. I told him what happened and asked him to let his staff know, and he just said okay. No apology or anything, he seemed like he wanted to get off the phone quickly. While I was disappointed with what happened earlier in the day at that location, I was much more disappointed with how management handled the situation. I will not be returning to that location, and because of what I saw I would strongly recommend to others to avoid this location. read more

I think what makes this Jersey Mikes so great is its employees. They're really quick and accurate, which is rare. As I left today, there was a man in line who asked how an employee was doing today and his response was, "I'm great! I'm making sandwiches and making people happy!" Also, I keep forgetting to ask his name every time I go in there, but the "lead sandwich maker" is so incredibly friendly. As a New Year started today, while I found myself in the area visiting my grandma, I found it unfortunate that the Greek Village, a new place to eat that I like, was closed for New Years Day. Thankfully, Jersey Mike's Subs saved the day and will become yet another option for grabbing a bite in this area as it was open and lived up to good reviews, such as besting other sub shops like Subway and Blimpie in consumer studies, like a Consumer Reports study on Fast Food Eateries. Upon first walking in, I was impressed by the cleanliness and cheerful atmosphere, with bright red, blue, and yellow paint on the wall with pictures of the Jersey Shore and a map of New Jersey to emphasize this chain's roots. Immediately, I was greeted by two young to middle aged male employees working the counter, who were very friendly and eager to please! I perused the menu and decided to order the Regular Buffalo Chicken Sub in a Tub as I enjoy spicy foods (which is Jersey Mike's lingo for no bread and it is great for those who are allergic to wheat, like me!) as well as a bag of Baked Lays. The two employees took my order and prepared it efficiently, with my order being ready less than five minutes later. After leaving Jersey Mike's, I tucked into my Buffalo Chicken Sub in a Tub, which I was pleasantly surprised by dish, as I found the grilled chicken to be moist and tender, the buffalo sauce to be spicy and slightly vinegary, adding a kick to the sandwich, the tomato slices were ripe and juicy, the shredded lettuce was crisp, and the pickle chips were briny and crunchy. In addition, I found the price of my lunch at about $9 in change to be reasonable, as the quality was high and the portion size was plentiful. Overall, I could see why Jersey Mike's is one of the better chain sub shops and with its high quality food, excellent service, and reasonable value, I would definitely stop at Jersey Mike's again if I were in the mood for fast food! First I want to say I've only been in this location once or twice and never had a problem. I work right next door. I asked my co worker to get me a pastrami sandwich with onions and mustard. She came back and the sandwich had cheese on in. So I went back in and the manager asked if something was wrong and my response was my sandwich has cheese on it and he said well that's what you asked for. Again my co worker picked up the sandwich. I told his it wasn't me it was my co worker.. Before I could tell him I was allergic to cheese he started yelling at me. I love Jersey Mike's but this store has got to get it's act together. I've been getting sub's at Jersey Mike's for years. I don't know what it is but the bread from the Mike's in Wall NJ is much softer and fresher. This is my second try at the Northvale Store, and again the bread was OK but not as soft/good as Wall. Also the staff is friendly but I need to repeat myself several times. I asked for a "whole sub" and the guy said giant? Yes giant... a whole sub not a half! Then I ordered with bacon! The first time I went they forgot the bacon, and again they forgot the bacon. Don't get me started about the register! Here the party starts all over again, "UH what did you get?" I got four whole subs... "what giant subs? what number?... Oh wait the register didn't work OK here let me do it again,,,,,, just the subs?? OMG yes just the subs four whole subs... giant subs here is my frequent sub buyer card let me out of here!!!! I swear it's like you have dumb, dumb and dumber working there.... Three people behind the counter and I had to help put the subs in the bags just so I could get out of there!!! Cannot say enough about Jersey Mike's.. it is so fresh and the staff is friendly at all locations. You would not know it is a chain sub place considering the meats/cheeses/etc. is nothing like a typical chain. The Italian sub Mike's way is my absolute go to and has been for years. After visiting a bunch of different locations, I'm happy to say the food is always great and does not vary (freshness wise) based on which store you visit. A personal favorite... definitely make your way over! read more

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time the other night. We saw online that the cheesesteaks were amazing since they actually cook the meat on a flat iron top so we already planned out what we were gonna get before we got there.. The place is pretty clean which is a plus for me- I noticed that they used different cooking instruments for my chicken cheesesteak and his regular meat cheesesteak. So after we got the sandwiches which were amazing I noticed the next day I was charged twice. I called them once I noticed and was told "the manager just stepped out he'll call you back within the next half hour". No call back. I called the next day and told the guy on the phone I got no call back- I was then told "we're really busy so he's gonna have to call you back in an hour but I guarantee a call back this time." Never got a call back. I guess corporate or the bank noticed I was charged twice and I was refunded but it's pretty sad that I never got a call back considering I called twice and was guaranteed a call back. For being a little pricey and my first experience it's a little upsetting but if and when I do return I'll be paying cash. read more
