this place is a complete and utter joke. i ordered food online because I'm handicapped and some days the body just doesn't want to cooper to pick it up. I ordered two subs in bowl form and the rather ample bowl containers didn't hold enough food to cover even the bottom of the container. I wish i had taken a picture of it to show the paltry amount that was in these containers. I honestly thought it was some kind of joke. I've ordered bowls from other places and it's always overflowing with food. I spent 40 dollars on a few fork full of food and 2 brownies which were actually good I will say. I have never been so ripped off by any other food server ever. to top it off the delivery lady saw me struggle to get my food off the far end of the porch and did nothing to offer help. My wife was telling me how much she loved Jersey Mike's, and I didn't understand why. I mean, how difficult is it to make sub sandwiches: every sub shop has bread, meat, cheese, vegetables, and various dressings. I'm used to having the mediocre, perfectly shaped slices at Subway, something that I've become tired with. So, how does Jersey Mike's separate themselves from the pack? By slicing meat and cheeses to order. It doesn't sound like much, but I'm amazed at how good the quality is. It is just like being at the deli counter. I decided to get the Philly chicken cheesesteak sandwich. The chicken is very well seasoned, and all the usual cheesesteak elements go together very nicely with it. I've also noticed that the rolls themselves seem fresher then they do at Subway, though I know Subway does bake theirs fresh every day. This particular store operates pretty efficiently from the times I've been in here. The people here seem to be able to do more than one thing at a time, and I've never had them mess up an order. read more

I dined in at this Jersey Mike's location on 12/26/18. I went there to redeem my coupon, for a free sub and soda for my bday month. Now I have been to Jersey Mike's a few times (the location in Chesterfield), and have always had a pleasant experience, and the subs are good to me! I was at the Macomb Mall, and I quickly remembered that there was a Jersey Mike location that had opened I believe in the last year or two years ago right across the street from the mall. So I was happy to go over and redeem my coupon. The staff waiting on me were very nice! So no complaints there. Now; to what my concerns are. The restaurant was very unclean, like I bypassed honestly three tables there were very dirty, hadn't been wiped down; and crumbs and food under the table (and the restaurant isn't that big inside). I found a table close to the window, that I ended up wiping down. When I went to get a straw for my drink,there was none out. So I went back to the table, and was about to drink the pop from the cup the old school way, since I didn't have a straw. When I took the lid off to drink from the cup, I noticed black speckles all throughout the pop, which I know from working in food service, could mean that the ice machine hadn't been clean. So I didn't even drink the pop. The sub on the other hand was actually good. Again, I've had the subs before several times from a different location, and always thought the food was good! But I couldn't get past how unclean this restaurant was, and I was there around 2 pm in the afternoon, so it wasn't like this was at night before the place was closing, and they had a full day of traffic, so they couldn't clean, which would still not be an excuse, but I was trying to understand why it was so I kept. I was also surprised by the uncleanliness; Bc as I stated before, this particular location is newer from what I remember. So for the inside conditions to be is such disarray, and for the pop machine to be dirty, just seems interesting that the staff would allow for such distasteful ness. I also tried to think, well it was the day after Christmas, but again, there is no excuse. Seeming I do like the subs, but I was just not satisfied with this particular location, I'm sure I will still support the chain restaurant again. I will just probably go to the regular location in Chesterfield that I'm used to. read more

Hubby had a coupon and we thought we would try. I got the bacon chicken ranch sandwich. It would have been good had it not been dosed so heavily in salt I could not even finish the sandwich. At first it reminded me of a Tubhys sandwich. I tasted my hubbys Italian sandwich and it tasted like any regular deli sandwich. Not impressed but if they lighten up on the salt I may try again. read more

This place is wonderful. I work in customer service and the two men behind the counter were FANTASTIC!!! Happy, smiling, joking with their guests. As I walked in the door it was already a pleasant experience and they made it a very memorable one. Most places you go people are in some kind of mood and it negatively affects the customer experience. I have been coming to location since I have been back in Michigan. The last 3 or 4 times I have visited, Rick has helped me. He even remembered my name, which makes me feel important. I believe as people remember customer names, it goes a long way into gaining return visits from those customers. The staff seems to run like a well oiled machine. OK first time ever at Jersey Mike's don't know how many of you are fans. But my first experience was not great. I guess if you like obnoxious children telling you what to do to get taking turns raising their hands as to what your favorite is this might be for you. As far as the project goes. Came here for the first time the other day. I ordered the #13 original italian, #43 Chipolte cheesesteak (on recommendation) and a Stickball. Everything was amazing. The staff is very friendly, service is fast (despite being busy) and very courteous. The manager (younger Caucasian guy) on duty was awesome and like I said, despite being busy when I came in, he kept the whole staff calm and under control. Phone was ringing off the hook and everyone just stayed calm and did their job. I did call and let him know how great of a job he did plus he made sure all workers were changing gloves and keeping within health guidelines. You cant find that often. I have been here a few times and the people are always nice and polite. They never get mad when I have coupons or have to put in my shores ID and what not. The reason for the 3 stars though is I asked for my sub to be made with everything in the BINS and to make it LITE. As putting everything normally from the bins is hard to make AND eat so I make it easier on both of us making it lite. I go to pay as the worker had 0 questions and said OK. I pay and he has the sub wrapped up already done. At the time I figured wow this guy is quick! As I return home to eat though, it has lettuce tomato and onion. Which is ok, but is missing jalapeno, banana pepper, hot cherry relish, and mayo. All of the things that add flavor! The thing that I don't understand, is if you don't get what i meant by everything in bins, just ask me? I will be back as its definitely the closest one, I will just have to make sure they make it how I would like it i suppose. Edit-I went back to this location and the crew was wonderful. Very positive people. They asked the right questions and I got the exact sub I wanted. Also had a coupon from email club and it was double points day. Much better experience! read more

Probably won't go back. Went twice and it was good but very pricey. Today however once we opened our order we either got someone else's order or it was completely wrong (either way). Normally not a big deal but I couldn't eat mine as it had about a pound of onions (no exaggeration) and I'm allergic. The whole thing was a completely different sandwich but I was only really concerned about the onions. So I thought perhaps I could call and let them know and we could come back for the correct item. It had barely been 30 minutes since we received it. The manager was nice but kept insisting she didn't see the order in her system. I told her that obviously it wasn't put in correctly and so the number we ordered obviously wasn't going to be showing in her system. We offered to send her pictures but said it wasn't necessary. Would've been glad to return it to receive the correct item But There was no offer on their part for us to return it and fix it, no offer for even discount on next order, nothing. Said she was "sorry" and that was it. Paid almost $14 for a dinner I couldn't eat. The ability to return the incorrect item for the correct one would've gone a long way. Because of that we probably won't go back. read more
