Food was great however a few things were left off my sandwich making the $12.95 not really worth it. Also, the ice dispenser was gross, it has black mildew all around the plastic chute and it drips water down those parts while the ice is coming out. I opted for no ice in my (ICED tea). Worst sub asked for hot sub gave me ice cold . I waited to complain until the line was down. When I took the sub back the cook started to yell at me. I showed the girl that took my order that there was no grill marks and it was ice cold. She agreed. The cook started yelling and then as I walked away. Another young women came out and I was getting ready to leave a new customer came in and walked to my table and asked if I liked there subs. I was honest I told him I wouldn't eat there again. That women that came out started screaming at me telling me I have no right to tell that man my opinion. I looked at her and just shook my head and left. We through the subs away. There seem to be no manager there. If there was one they could have handle this way different. Subway, McAlister's , and Penn Station could teach these guy's a lot. read more

Got 3 subs tonight and none of them had hardly any flavor. On the chicken bacon ranch we couldn't even see the bacon that was supposed to be on it and the ranch that was on there was extremely watered down tasting. There was a good 2 inches on each end of all of our sandwiches that didn't have any ingredients at all. Not even close to being worth the price. Will not be back read more

I was going to call in because of all of the craziness out there, but decided to just try and go in. Information was posted on the door so if you don't want to go in you don't have to. We went in and were immediately treated to a sense of clean. All the tables were put up because it's carry out or deliver only. Everything smelled and looked like it was very clean. All of the workers looked to be in good spirits. They had a table set up for phone and online orders so you didn't even have to go into the store. When we went in we were the only 2 in there but it quickly started filling up and once they got to 8 customers they had an employee by the door to have people wait to come in, as to not have more than 10 people. You have to appreciate that they stayed open and are doing everything in their power to maintain a very clean establishment and they deserve credit for it. When I was stationed at Ft Monmouth NJ, I loved the subs you got at most of the local sub shops. I never got anything near as good from Subway or Jimmy Johns here in the Midwest. What a pleasant surprise when I ordered the Original Italian from Jersey Mike's. They taste just like the ones I got near the Jersey shore years ago plus they offer a military discount (active and retired). The food itself was okay, but it was nowhere near worth the price. Two sub meals and a kid's meal cost us $31 and my sandwich wasn't even made right. I ordered the #8 Club Sub and the kid making it was in such a rush to go on his break and check his phone that he didn't put the bacon on it. Then the guy who put toppings on my sandwich looked at me like I was an idiot when I said "Mike's way minus tomatoes and onions" which seemed pretty clear to me. The only redeeming staff member was the girl working because she was actually nice. I've worked in a gimmicky sub shop for crap pay like these people are, but still managed to at least be polite. For those of who do not eat pork or have certain meat allergies it's difficult to eat there. I went yesterday and all the meat was being sliced on the same slicer without cleaning in between. In addition the employees do not change gloves between customers. So after putting bacon or ham on one sandwich they would continue with a veggie or non pork sandwich. This mean I can't eat here. Had heard some hype and good reviews but upon eating there...we were less than thrilled with the subs. Bread top was hard overcooked slightly. The tuna was good but it was the best part really. Loaded down the lettuce and was constantly falling off the sandwich. I'll give them the meat was sliced fresh right there upon order, the meats might be a step up from some other similar chains or give you the appearance they might be. Got a cookie and it was hard and crumbly. He was not at all satisfied with the hard top on the sub. They don't have some staple sub toppings and veggies. They did have a few other option hiding and had I known they had mushrooms(until the person before me order them) I might have opted for a different choice. I had heard the sandwiches at Jersey Mikes were phenomenal so decided to finally try it out. This being my first time here I didn't really know what to get so I perused the menu allowing a couple that walked in ahead of me to go first. They seemed to have been here more than once since they knew exactly what they wanted and the correct apparent lingo to get it. Meanwhile, I chose two hot sandwiches from their menu for myself and my husband and was ready to place my order at which point I was asked 'grilled or cold?', and responded 'grilled' and proceeded to place my order. At that point the worker seemed annoyed and sarcastically said 'so you DO want grilled?' Uh, yeah, like I said to begin with, but whatever. I proceed to the cashier who is helping those people I let go in front of me. He asks them if they had any coupons or points (?) to use and was quite helpful to them, maybe they were regulars, who knows? When it was my turn at the register a customer walked in at the same time and the cashier and a food prepper who obviously knew him started having a conversation with him. So as I'm checking out, the cashier punched the information into his cash register not once speaking to me or acknowledging me other than to take my money because he was still shooting the breeze about last night to the customer who walked in after me. I'm still waiting for my hot sandwiches so I'm standing at the counter while their conversation continues, then the cashier asks him if he's using any coupons or points. Moral of the story is I guess only regular customers get treated like they want them to come back, which is bass ackwards if you ask me. Finally to the important part...my husband really liked his sandwich, and mine wasn't bad I just didn't care too much for the seasoning which is subjective. read more

If you love a good sandwich this is definitely the place to get one for the money! I am from the east coast and they do subs just like the east coast. If you are eating subway, Jimmy Johns, or any other sub in the Shiloh IL area and you have not been here. You are missing out. That or you don't know what good food is. #9 is so good. Staff is cool. Clean. Sandwich is nice and full of meat, veggies and cheese. Unlike those other places that give you a paper thin pieces and expect you to taste it. Jersey mikes is where its at.
