A couple aircraft delays made for a really long day. I was glad to find someplace that was open. Just me and two other people eating so late. That meant no line. Counter staff friendly and helpful. My pecan berry salad was really good. I love the raspberry dressing. Ditto strawberry tea. Yum. Treated myself to a slice of carrot cake. After today's travel woes, I felt totally justified. This one is hard to do. So I going to do 3 Pros & 3 Cons. 1Pro-Employees are really great. 2Pro-Inside is clean. Ambiance is nice. 3Pro-Bathrooms very clean. 1Con-So slow to order. Rather long line. 2Con-Food is really salty. 3Con-They had to make Tea. Which was finally delivered half way through my meal. Of course hot tea and full cup of ice melted down, yes rather weak, watered down. Yuck. 4Con-line to order. One cashier, no way to get refill. Expensive also. Everyone says Panera is expensive. I would say not as expensive as McAlister Dell. So I doubt I will return. That mostly because of the salty tasting food. Too salty. read more

The most impressive part was a sweet the server was. She had a smile that went from ear to ear. I had the chicken and dumplings soup and a sandwich. They were fast and efficient. Ordered a SW Salad and Chef Salad online. Went to pick up the food it was ready to go when we arrived. Once we returned home the horror started. Both salads were made solely of spinach that appeared to have NOT been washed. And the Avocado was molded. I called the restaurant to complain and advise I was coming back to return it for a refund. The explanation given to me from the on duty manager was a poor excuse. She admitted that the Restaurant Mgr required the staff to freeze Avocados once they become old and that was the reason for the bad vegetable. Who freezes Avocados?! She had no excuse for the poor salad prep in general. I will never eat at a McAllisters again. I did get a refund but was still charged a fee for ordering online. Explanation was that they cannot refund that charge. If this is the way they are storing and serving food to customers, it is a matter of time before customers start getting ill or worse. read more

Food was very delicious and plentiful. I had the take two the Savannah salad and Memphian which is a 3.00 up charge. My husband had the french dip and changed to provolone cheese was 1.50 up charge. So beware, everything is an up charge. With 2 teas our lunch came to 35.00. I did have left overs. Service was good. read more

McAlister's in Shiloh! Close to Scott AFB, fast, ample parking and well-lit inside and outside. Four of us met for an early evening dinner. The Spud Max is one of my favorites. My wife likes the Just a Spud with Cheese . The staff is friendly and helpful which is great because I find the company app a little clunky and they always help me out. They always make you feel like your business is important to them. The dining room was clean and well maintained. My wife also noticed the bathroom was also clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back with friends and family! read more

Owner Notice.... I love McAlister's however today (Sunday at 1230pm) we were in a very long line when everyone in front of us got to the counter and turned and left the store. We got to the front and were told, "It will be a 45 minute wait on your food. If you would like to wait, I can take your order." There is no way she could have predicted a 45 minute wait in the Deli, and may have cost the owners hundreds of dollars by turning people away at the lunch rush. Went during a lunch rush on Saturday and it was quite busy, but the employees were working hard and the cashier was nice. We got 2 potatoes and a French dip sandwich. All were hot and good. The only thing I could think of wrong is that the sweet tea needed to be sweeter. We will go back. read more

This was our go-to sandwich place, until McAlister's took our favorite sandwich off of their menu! We loved the Orange Cranberry Club and Mac n' Cheese. However service has gone downhill over the years, where we've had to wait an hour for our food during lunch time. Because of the long wait times, we've chosen to look elsewhere for sandwiches. For a place that serves salads, they really don't have a very good variety of vegetables to put on them. Tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. The "veggie" chili was okay, but not great. If you're trying to eat vegan, this may not be the best place to try. read more

Ive been to this restaurant several times now in the evening. Each time the serves has been terrible. This time was the last straw. When we walked in the workers were standing around gabbing laughing and what I believe was yoga. We order our food and there is only one other couple eating in nut there were no clean tables. And just like each time we have been there our food was not on the correct plate. my pick two sandwich was on his plate with potato salad and his sandwich was on my plate with my soup. And again like every time I have to ask again for the toppings for the country potato soup. When the toppings come out the give me a whole piece of bacon and a green onion that was cut in 1 inch pieces. What happened to this place. It used to be a great place to eat? This place has gone way down hill in the evenings time. I suggest not going there in the evening. read more

If you order online or to go you MUST check your bag before you leave. They will give you the wrong items. If you order to go at the register make sure it's not on your lunch break because you'll be there 20 minutes minimum even if they're only serving a few people during and a rush make that minimum 30 minutes. The staff couldn't possibly move any slower, and mostly keep their backs turned to the customers. Your store in Shiloh IL is below standard. Came in about 130 pm... two other customers at tables. Over 75% of the remaining tables had not been bussed. At least 3 employees behind counter (plus those in kitchen area) with no customers. As we ate our lunch, a brother of an employee ( the employee had identified the person as his brother when hed walked in) picked up a straw from the floor and put it back in the straw dispenser. Overall, pretty disgusting. Won't be going back. read more

My sister in law and I went shopping and she suggested eating here. I got the club and it was very good. It had lots of deli meat and it was piled high on crisp toast. I also had the chicken and dumplings soup. It was good, but not hot enough for me. I like my soup screaming hot and this was barely lukewarm. McAllister's has earned a little more love from me due to my recent lunch order ---I had only been there a few times in TN and frankly wasn't too hyped up on them the quality didn't live up to the price but apparently it was just that particular location. I had a french dip and spud the other day and it was very tasty and I ate every last morsel. They have a pretty large menu and options which is great. I go to McAlister's Deli somewhat regularly all around town. It's one of my favorite fast casual lunch options and I really like their chili. I had chili today and always have them add cheese and onion. My father ordered a Black Angus Club (Black Angus roast beef, applewood smoked bacon, sharp cheddar, Swiss, red onions, lettuce, tomatoes, horseradish sauce and lite mayo on sliced wheat bread) with a side of macaroni and cheese. Our bill was about $17 and the customer service at this particular location is outstanding. They check on you at least twice during your meal and always refill your drink. read more

I just ordered curbside takeout at the Shiloh Greenmount location today due to COVID-19. When I entered the make and model of my car at the time of ordering. My boyfriend and I arrived and waited in front of the restaurant for our order to be brought out. I had called inside to let them know we were there and an employee named Shaun said he would be out in a minute, that our order was ready. I had seen an employee come out a couple times but never came to my car. After about 10 minutes I decided to call back and check in. At this point I was frustrates and def sounded bothered. Shaun had said he can't find our car. It is at that moment I made the horrifying discovery that we were in my boyfriends car and not mine. So the car info was completely different. OMG! I was so embarrassed and felt like that worst human alive. Shaun came back out and I apologized over and over for being rude. He was so very nice and understanding.
