RIP OFF‼‼ $10 for a 6" sub?!?! And they can't even toast it?!? Never again Jersey Mikes! Rip off Mikes!!
    Steve A.

Mediocre, unremarkable sub. 6" sub for $10, ridiculous price! Can you toast it? Nope. Do you have toppings besides lettuce, tomato, onion or peppers? Nope. Any breads besides white, wheat or Parmesan? Nope. Oh, you want a "Giant" (which is just a footling), that's $18. What?!? That's insane! I don't recommend Jersey Mikes, this location or others that charge this much for so little. I would not return. 2 stars because the service was friendly. Otherwise it would be one star.

This was my first time trying Jersey Mike's and it was such a disappointment. Walking in, it looked very promising. The store was very clean and the employees greeted me upon entering. I ordered a number 26 which is the Chicken Bacon Ranch sub. They made the sandwhich really fast which was nice but when I got home and I opened the bag to see the sandwich, it was a hot mess. The bread was so soggy from the sauce and the bacon inside was also soggy. The chicken had nice flavor but the sogginess was off putting I'm giving it 2 stars because the employees were so nice and it is in a good area with lots of parking. However I will not be going here for my sub needs

If you go here to eat, be careful that you don't slip and fall on the used condoms. The parking lot is full.

The service was good. Usual from a Jersey mikes. The big kahuna chicken was delicious. Great when it's hot off the grill.

She was welcoming, helpful, and offered thoughtful order suggestions. She was also patient, professional, and knowledgeable, and she processed our orders and payments quickly and efficiently. The staff who prepared our food were friendly and attentive, making sure every order was correct. Their attention to detail was excellent from start to finish. I ordered Bo's chicken sandwich, not spicy, along with a biscuit and peach iced tea. The sandwich was well seasoned, and the biscuit was golden brown on top, pale on the sides, flaky on the outside, and soft and layered inside. Its flavor was rich, buttery, and mild. The peach iced tea was delicious, and altogether, everything was finger-licking good. The Bojangles team, from the cashier to the cooks and order preparers, worked together smoothly. Even during the busy lunch rush, they remained calm, friendly, and attentive with a wonderful sense of humor. I also had the pleasure of meeting Vince, the Director of Operations at this location. He represented the company exceptionally well. He was personable, efficient, and clearly skilled at managing both the team and production. During the lunch rush, I saw him clearing tables and greeting guests when the dining area became short-staffed because of the crowd. He gave clear, precise instructions without raising his voice, speaking to his staff in a calm and respectful way. The mutual respect between Vince and his team was easy to see. Until next time, keep up the great work.

Their Coleslaw is perfection. It's pure coleslaw, just like I like it, without sauce or mayonnaise. They have an extensive list of milkshake flavors, which I'm told are amazing. A few are seasonal. My continuous dieting has kept me from trying them. But when December arrives I may splurge calories on an Egg Nog Shake. Anytime I'm in the area, or close to the area I'll stop and buy enough for two meals. Each sandwich is wrapped in a thick heavy aluminum foil type wrap, which keeps the bun soft in the refrigerator. The coleslaw is best for me on the side. But there's never enough for the second day. Yesterday I ordered two side orders of coleslaw. They were the same small size of the "slaw on the side" ones. I know they must have larger containers. Next time I'm going to be more descriptive in my order. The personnel are friendly and helpful. Every time I've been, regardless of time, the same woman has been at the register. The location is just off Military Highway. The storefront appears to be on that major thoroughfare. But the parking lot is entered and faces Valley Drive. If approaching from the south there is no curb cut. One had to make a U turn to reach Valley Drive. If headed north from the restaurant I continue on Valley Drive and take a right on Raby Road which takes you to a traffic signal on Military Highway. The storefront is attractive and captures one's attention. The inside is spacious with fast food type booths that are larger than most. The walls are decorated with hangings such as one featuring the Old Dominion Monarchs. There were once rumors of a store being built in the Haygood area. So far that hasn't happened. Stopped by for a burger and a beer to drown in my solitude. Had great service. Prompt, attentive and genuine. Only downside was some pretentious guy named Jeff kept whining about the hostess and the service being "special needs" because he couldn't get his group prompt service under 15 minutes on a special holiday. If it wasn't for some derogative guy whining off the bell about how the service wasn't up to par every couple minutes I'd have enjoyed what would've been quite a depressing day for me. Other than that, burger was damn heavenly. Beer was cold and good. Service was grand. Some people just ruin it for others. Great spot, great burger, good beer and good folks. B.W.

The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV

I'm a Taco purist, preferring the regular Crunchy Hard Beef Tacos. Please no sour cream & other additives on my Tacos. Also don't give me that type of Taco with a soggy bottom that falls apart. Therefore Taco Bell's Tacos are the perfect choice for me. Service was good at the drive through window. My question about a multipack that they offered in the past was answered. I would have to order the Tacos individually. It did seem odd that my total came out to be an even $13. My Tacos were ready quickly and I drove away completely satisfied, It was only after I got home that I saw the reason for the $13 charge. The receipt has a line item that read "Donate Round Up" in the amount of 97 cents. Never once was I asked if I wanted to make a donation. What was the donation for? Even though it was only 97 cents, I feel cheated. My previous plan was to give this location a 4 Star review because of location and the fact that they offer Tacos that remain crunchy and don't fall apart. That all changed when I saw the "Donation Roundup" that I didn't approve. What's up Taco Bell? An explanation would certainly be appreciated.
