I finally made it here on 03/08/26. Everything I would come to Murfreesboro they were either closed or I had appointments on the other side of town. My boyfriend has been here several times and I see why. He used to work in the area and that was able to afford him more time to visit. He ordered the Cousin Vinny with Corned Beef and I ordered the Steel Magnolia. Huge amount of deli meat and sour kraut on his sandwich, he put this on the French Toast Bagel. I had an everything bagel with the fixings of a BLT add Pimento Cheese... Delicious! I want to thank the crew for being so kind and patient as we walked in 15 minutes before closing. Hopefully you got out just a few minutes later than normal... We really appreciated it, and had I have known that you closed at 2:00 pm on Sunday's I would have eaten in the car. It's absolutely always a great time at borough bagel the staff is always amazing they're very helpful they're super knowledgeable they always make sure that everything is made fresh so you may have a bit of a whole time but that just depends on how many people are inside it's super clean everybody is amazing and the food is top tier all the bagels are made fresh all the ingredients are absolutely fresh the burgers are hand-pressed and season two perfection I've had this burger twice now I won't even try anything else. And don't get me started on the bagel bags oh my gosh I have had a savory one and I've had a sweet one and they were both fan-freaking-tastic I ran out of stuff to do with them I ended up making a bagel bread pudding isn't that amazing and it was only $5 for a whole bag of bagels this place is top tear five stars all around read more

Mood: Breakfast to fuel my belly This was my first time and won't be the last. Ver good, clean, and chill vibe of a spot. I can tell it's a local favorite because it was busy. Finally I had the opportunity to stop in and grab a bagel. Definitely pregame because there are a lot of options. I got an everything bagel and split the cream cheese. Half chocolate chip and half jalapeño. It was excellent! If you are not a cream cheese junkie you make think it is too much. (I do not fall into that category.) Beautiful open space! Best bagels outside of Nashville. I grew up near NY and Montreal and missed good bagels so much after moving here. These are delicious. I've only visited once and plan to try more bagels and update my review. I visited on a Friday morning around 9:30. There was only a short line & wait to place my order. I had the Hulk breakfast sandwich on egg bagel and was very good. The bagel was crisp on the outside and soft inside. The sandwich had lost of flavor. I would recommend. My only complaint was the coffee. It was nit good, just coffee. I've read the management responses to other reviews, mentioning Brass Horn and Black Rifle as coffees they serve, so I'm going to assume the coffee served on my visit was Black Rifle because it didn't taste like any Brass Horn coffees I've had. read more

Growing up I spent a few months each year in New York City with family and we would always bring back, frozen, with us real New York City Bagels. They are like no other bagels you can find but Boro Bagel is the first place I've tried in Middle Tennessee that is so close that they are a worthy number 2 that forgoes the 900 mile (give or take) trip to New York City. I ordered a bakers doezen for delivery and the chewiness is just perfect. While I got several varieties the Jalapeno cheddar bagel is my favorite with just the perfect ammount of heat. My only complaints, and minor at that so I am not knocking off any starts, is that it is hard to tell the difference bettween some of the bagel's like the Asagio and the Jalapeno Cheddar, so bagging each flavor seperately would be a huge help. Also, I would love to be able to order bagles for pickup more than 48 hours in advance. But overall it is a worthy substitute for Real NYC bagels that would cost about 10 times to have shipped from New York City. read more

Murfreesboro finally has a bagel shop! I'll start off by saying I am very critical when it comes to bagels being from Jersey/NY area and my family used to own a bagel shop. First impression: we walked in and I did not get hit with bagel Nostalgia, it did not smell like a bagel place. Made me wonder if they make their bagels fresh every morning in a boiler. Smelled like heavy garlic inside but that's not a big deal. This was there soft opening so we went In with open minds. Place was packed. I was pleasantly surprised to have a solid bagel. We got plain with cream cheese and pork roll egg/ cheese sandwiches (surprised they even had this), only gripe is NO AMERICA CHEESE for the pork roll which is a huge red flag. I asked and they did not have it available being that it was their soft opening. Can finally get your pork roll fix nearby. Is it amazing and blows you away if you're from the north east?? The answer is No. But better than anything else out here and will definitely make it a regular spot. Good job so far from what I see. Better than other bagel places I've tried in middle TN easily. PLEASE GET AMERICAN CHEESE FOR PORK ROLL SANDWICHES WOULD BE MY REQUEST. This is a Jersey staple and no one gets this with anything other than American cheese. Really great Bagel place, Delicious options and I love having a bagel shop that is local

I have been meaning to try Boro Bagel for awhile now and finally stopped by after my husband's medical appointment. We decided on a make your own breakfast sandwich on a jalapeno cheddar bagel. We chose bacon, egg, pepper jack cheese and spicy Boro sauce. The bagel arrived nicely toast and smelling amazing. The bagel had a nice crunch and the jalapenos were delicious. Everything was spot on and I look forward to coming back and trying other sandwiches. read more

Stopped at Boro Bagel this morning. The bagels are good, but the cream cheese was star of the show The cream cheese definitely reminded me of New York style. The bagels weren't the same texture as the ones I had in NYC, but they were a good bagel. We tried the mini bagels (pictured on hand to show size) with blueberry cream cheese and garlic and herb cream cheese. We also ordered the BYO breakfast sandwich on Asiago and a jalapeño cheddar bagel w/ plain cream cheese. We will definitely be back to try more items. Staff was amazing and worked quickly and efficiently, especially for how busy they were. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the fact the bagels done seem to be made on site. It does not smell like a fresh bagel shop. I overheard one of the staff saying their blueberry and egg bagel haven't arrived yet and should be here Tuesday which also leads me to believe they aren't made fresh on site. read more

Tried this place out this morning, ordered loxness monster and the porky's both on onion bagels. The loxness could of used less cream cheese, and more salmon. The porky's one had good flavor but kind of skimpy could of used another egg. Both were alright but definitely not the best we have had. Need to cut the bagels in half especially to go orders and the bagels aren't freshly made the same day you can tell which brings down the quality and taste a bit. Would i get again probably not but still not a bad place to go if your in the mood or in a hurry for breakfast. read more

We had been meaning to try this place. Conveniently located on Memorial, plenty of parking. Selection was great, I like savoury, wife likes sweet and there was plenty to satisfy us. Toasted Asiago and lox was great. Coffee was quite good, which I don't really expect at a bagel shop lol. Plenty of comfortable seating. Overall, a positive experience. I'm glad we went, and we will most likely be returning for a second visit. They have a diverse variety of bagels and flavored cream cheese to choose from. I'm not entirely sure if they bake their own bagels, but it's not a huge deal because what we had tasted fresh. In my opinion, the ratio of bagel to cream cheese was off, and I ended up having to scrape some cream cheese off because of the massive amount I was served. Great service. Need more flavors though, like sourdough. The cream cheese flavors though need more variety. I realize they just opened and am only giving 4 stars as the bagels are just a tad overcooked for my liking. The cinnamon raisin bagels have very few pieces of raisins and no cinnamon flavor. I did NOT ask for the whole order to be refunded. Kim wanted me to drive back and get a new one but I was late for a meeting, so I asked for a refund for that sandwich which you reluctantly gave. And saying I don't like ketchup on my sandwich is not rude, Kim. I'm also not in the customer service and food business, you are. And clearly other people feel the same. An apology and refund was all you needed to say. Instead, here we are, because YOU represented your company poorly and NOT nice. Just be nice and make food without messing it up all the time, Kim. I purchased (for $11! ) a chicken salad bagel. I think the bagel was about two days old. It was ridiculously dry. The chicken salad might've been good if it had some mayonnaise in it to hold it together. I don't want it drowning in mayonnaise, but definitely did not have enough. I was really shocked. i went during the soft opening before the actual grand opening. they had a great selection of bagel flavors and you can get anything on the bagel you wish. there were fresh bagels being brought out non stop while i was there. i had a spinach parmesan bagel and it was delicious. the staff was very nice and accomodating. the line was literally out the door and as a customer was leaving he looked at me and said it is worth the wait. he was correct. sadly i ate the food before i took any pics :) they were still working out the kinks but i will definitely be back. read more

I'm sorry but $42 for two breakfast sandwiches, 6 bagels, and a tub of creme cheese is just too expensive. The price at Panera is about the same but you can get 13 bagels and two tubs of creme cheese. The way Boro Bagel sells there sandwich is they have the price of the sandwich on the board, but then every part of the sandwich is an additional cost above the price listed; so the egg is extra fee, the cheese is extra fee. Plus there's no drive-thru, the parking is very tight, and you have to make your own coffee. Are the bagels good? Yes for sure but so are Panera's. I feel the greed at Boro Bagel is just over the top and when you check out, they ask for a tip for taking your walk-in order. I don't know how I feel about Boro Bagel's first impression with me. Let's just say Panera is closer, cheaper, easier, prices are inclusive, if you want to park it's easy, and the folks there are very friendly too. 4/20/24 Update: Kimberly, thank you for your response. I appreciate the engagement, but I believe that rather than making excuses, a focus on delivering quality products at fair prices would better serve your customers. Here are my concerns: 1. I was a little suspicious upon walking in as the shop didn't smell of fresh baked goods. Our bagels tasted both stale and burnt. They are not made in-house and don't seem to have been boiled for long judging from their dull, cracked/flaking exteriors. There was zero chew factor which I expect from a NYC bagel. This may be due to the preparation after arriving from wherever they're made and getting into a basket at the store. Unfortunately, I don't think any of this is due to being a new restaurant.
