    NASHVILLE HOT PANEER SANDWICH (V)
    Saniya S.

Oh my god, y'all HAVE to come here!! I'm vegetarian and even then they had options for me. We got the Nashville hot paneer sandwich and the paneer loaded fries. Both were insanely good! The paneer was fried to perfection. Even though there was so much sauce on both the burger and fries, the paneer stayed crispy the whole time. The sauces and coleslaw went perfectly with the paneer as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Got a spicy Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the spice level was perfect. I could try to level up next time, but might need a glass of milk. Looking forward to returning to try the smash burger.

First time ordering and I ordered it spicy but my tolerance is high so I their level of spicy wasn't hot for my preference. Overall very tasty.

    Chicken sandwich and fries

I'd been passing this place on my way to/from my daughter's place at Rutgers for a while now and finally bit the bullet to give it a try. I think I was the first person of the day there (around 11:15am, about 15 mins after they'd opened), so I'm not sure if that altered the experience any. I got the medium spicy chicken sandwich and fries. It was a combo meal (main + 1 side), though I found it a bit weird that the combo didn't include a drink. I'd probably recommend that the combo price be increased to include a drink in the future, if possible. The place was relatively clean for it being the start of the day, though I had to wipe down my own table as it still had crumbs on it from earlier customers eating there, probably from the prior evening. As per some of the other reviews, the spice level for the sandwich was just right for my meal - not weak but not overpowering. I dislike meal spice levels where it's all about the pain - I prefer meals where the spice just adds to the flavor. I think they used chicken breast vs chicken thigh for the sandwich. I tend to prefer chicken thighs for sandwiches like this, but this rendition came out pretty good regardless. The sandwich breast coating wasn't overly thick, more crispy than crunchy. It was topped by a serving of what looked like housemade fresh coleslaw as well as a spicy yellow/orange sauce. Pickles were added under the chicken breast on what I believe to have been a fresh potato bun. There were a few small smatterings of spicy oil on the wrapping of the sandwich I saw while I was eating it, so I'm assuming they did a traditional toss/coating of spicy fry oil on the chicken after the fry was complete - I thought that was a nice traditional hot chicken recipe touch that added to the taste. The combo of spicy/crispy from the sauce/breading/oil was countered nicely by the coolness/crunch of the slaw + pickles. It tasted quite nice while going down :) Fries were hot and crispy, though I think they were from frozen rather than fresh. They were still good - the crew included a bunch of ketchup packets without me having to ask for them. Took a few minutes for the order to complete and I believe they crafted the meal fresh to order. It hadn't been pre-made or sitting under a heat lamp, which was good. There aren't a large number of these type of hot chicken places to try from that I'm aware of. I'd compare this to Namkeen or Smashville and it's on par with their offerings. If I get the chance to go back here, I will.

I just wish there was something fresh or crunchy to balance out all the soft textures from the bread, beef patty, and cheese. I also added beef bacon to my burger, even though it's not listed as an add on the menu. I really wish more of these newer smashburger restaurants had lettuce and/or tomatoes as an add on topping. That would help cut through the grease and make the burger feel a little lighter. The restaurant is very clean and bright, I liked the atmosphere while I was in there and the staff were nice!

Not actually has a full size bar, indoor dining area, and an outdoor patio. This is a slight variation from a traditional chicken Parmesan entrée. The cutlet was prepared differently. The edges were pounded thin and had a crispy texture. The center of the cutlet was thick and chewier. Hidden beneath the cutlet was house made spinach linguine. It's different from typical pasta, but it has an acquired earthy taste. The appearance of the vodka sauce isn't the most appealing, but it tastes a lot better than it looks. The sauce was thick and creamy and had chunks of tomato. I highly recommend requesting an additional cup of sauce for full flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this plate. The minor drawback was we arrived while our server was ending his shift during our meal. We were assigned another server and it lead to miscommunication. #stagehousetavern #chickenparmreview #parmesancrustedchickenbreast

The restaurant was not yet crowded, yet my husband and I were put essentially in an "alcove" seating area away from the main dining room. Absolutely no ambiance, right next to the beverage area where the servers gather and also where the high chairs and booster seats were stored. When I noted my displeasure, I was met with, "Sorry, we're really busy today and we can't seat you elsewhere." There were many other empty tables in the main dining room and also empty hightop tables in the bar area. The buffet food was overcooked and cold. The coffee tasted like it was made last night. Total of our bill was $157.00 (and we paid an additional 3% on top of this for credit card). Yes, we knew what it was a head, but they also added an automatic 20% tip and the bill still suggested that we give our server a tip, who we had to follow up with for another cup of coffee, milk and water. Extremely disappointed. We won't be coming back here for a holiday meal.

A short walk later, I found myself at Destination Dogs, a place I had seen in photographs that suggested capaciousness. In reality, it is smaller.  This is not a complaint, just an observation.  I remember once hearing something about the contents of small packages. At 12:30 the place was full. Packed with humanity and appetite. I was seated quickly, as if someone had anticipated my hunger in advance. From the bar came the sound of construction crews discussing their midday rituals. Apparently this is where they come on Fridays, to repair themselves while they repair the city. It explained everything. Service was swift and attentive, a minor miracle given the crowd. I began with a Scotch egg, an item that seemed to have wandered in from another story entirely. I ordered it for that reason. I had always imagined my first Scotch egg would be eaten in an English pub under low ceilings and older regrets. Instead, here it was. Perfectly crisp, warm, and generous. The universe does not ask for permission. Then came the main event. The menu is an atlas of hot dogs. Domestic. International. Proteins in tube form arranged like possibilities. There is even an invitation to build your own, which I accepted. I attempted to recreate a favorite from Crif Dogs, a thing called the Spicy Redneck. Bacon wrapped dog. Pickled jalapenos. Coleslaw. Simple in theory. Destination Dogs improved upon it in every way that matters. The bacon crisped with purpose. The jalapenos spoke clearly. The coleslaw behaved. The hot dog itself seemed proud to be there. All of this, plus a 16 ounce beer, cost me about twenty five dollars with tip. A small price for order in a chaotic universe. Five stars. Not because perfection exists, but because this comes close enough to make the argument.
