Overpriced. Skimpy on fillings for breakfast bagel sandwiches. Messed up an order. I will not be going back

I was once a huge fan of JBB. On my most recent visit though, I got turned off and will not be visiting the business anymore. Why? Three reasons: 1. The place is bordering on filthy. They need to clean this place up big time! While it isn't too bad yet, they are just moments away from being a real dump if they don't start cleaning and fixing things. And by the fact that they always seem to have 5 or 6 people standing around doing nothing, I don't expect to see any repairs done ever. 2. The bagel has lost something. Once a huge, plump, and delicous bagel. It is now a flat ring like everyone else's bagel. They lost the magic touch. 3. No pork! Okay, I respect their choice to not serve pork product. But they have a duty to tell their customers that they don't serve pork anymore. When I order a Bacon, Egg, Cheese; i don't expect to get Turkey Bacon. If you don't want to serve pork, than take it OFF the menu and let people know what alternatives you do have. Instead they are serving non-pork product under the common pork names (bacon, ham, taylor ham, etc...) and pretending like customers won't notice the difference. read more

I'm only giving this three stars because the man behind the counter was so friendly and nice! But other then that I would rate it a one. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with bacon on i. It was not bacon, it was some kind of, crossover/hybrid, Taylor ham, ham, turkey bacon thing. It was so rubbery I had to take it off. Also it seemed like they used a melon baller to put a scoop of chicken salad on it and then took a full tablespoon of mayonnaise, plopped it right in the middle the sandwich, threw the other half the of bagel on it and called it a sandwich. Recommendations: Bagel with sausage and egg Taylor ham and cheese Great place for breakfast food. Can ask for pretty mcuh anything you want and they will make it. Service is friendly and fast. Locally owned. There are many tables to sit at to enjoy your meal. read more

I drive by this place daily and never gave it much of a thought. Let's face it, bagel places in the mornings are a zoo. This zoo was worth the wait. Asked for something totally off menu and it was handled quite rapidly. The bagels have a nice crust, and are fresh with a chewy inside. Got two with cream cheese and turkey. Fast, great taste. A bit pricy, but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Home run. I'll be back. read more

Bagels are stale. Cream cheese has no flavor and there is only enough for one side of the bagel. Egg sandwiches are bleh on stale rolls. Ordered a BEC and got some weird spicy peppercorn bologna that was anything but bacon. Wish I could offer a more positive review, but this breakfast just hit the trash instead of my tum. GYRO or Fajita Pita? Stopped in today for a GYRO sandwich as the local Mediterranean restaurant is closed on Monday. Though fresh and very tasty it was more like Fajita Pita Sandwich than a gyro. With sautéed onions, red and green peppers and tasty but a nontraditional seasoned beef. Zesty tzatziki sauce, though it could have been thicker. Confused a bit, though perhaps they should call it a Fajita-Gyro! Friendly staff, seems family owned. I will definitely be back, though not sure for what! read more

Sausage egg and cheese was great! Highly recommend it. Sausage was a mild not spicy sausage and not so greasy which I prefer.

First this place is no longer called Jersey Boy Bagels... it's something like bagels deli and more. But bagels were old store bought bagels and there were cockroaches in the restaurant. I don't know how the health codes work in New Jersey but I'm guessing that would mean it gets an F. Seriously it's not that hard to not have cockroaches. You really have to have no cleanliness at all!! I would avoid at all cost, but then again I prefer my food without bugs read more

I heard about these Bagels from a friend and I was not disappointed. My Everything Bagel with Olive cream cheese was incredible. Nice and clean restaurant with friendly staff and did I mention the bagels were phenomenal. I recommend take out or eat in and start your day off perfectly. read more

Ordered a pork roll, egg and cheese on a bagel. The guy taking my order and "corrected" me saying they don't have pork, they have Taylor Ham. I held off correcting him that Taylor was the brand, pork roll is the product and Taylor does not sell ham. In any event, the food came out fast. The "Taylor Ham" that he informed me I would be receiving was not a Taylor product. It tasted different, like a pepper/smokey flavor. It wasnt nearly as good as Taylor pork roll and was a big let down. The bagel itself was fine. Wasn't the best bagel, wasn't the worst. Middle of the road in terms of quality. Conveniently placed off the highway. I usually make my way here on weekends after running morning errands. Excellent service and the most accommodating staff! They have a variety of different bagels, but I usually go for the standard everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Nothing too over the top about the food, but it's a great stop for a quick bite! read more

Friendly staff, smiling manager, Very cozy and clean place. The service was prompt and the bagels are just amazing, Mine was fresh out of the oven, the crust had a rich, medium-brown glow that shined back at me, a bite of it was chewy without being dense, light without being airy, and deeply satisfying. A lot of flavors and cream cheese varieties to choose from, I went for the veggie cream cheese which complimented the bagel without being overwhelming. Flavorful, toothsome wide assortment of scrumptious bagels! Their scallion cream cheese elevates my dining experience every time. It is as predictably mouthwateringly delicious as the timeliness of Mussolini 's trains. They always have a section of cut up bagels - - bite-sized and an array of six different cream cheeses to sample. This way, you can taste the bagels and cream cheese before buying or give you sustenance until you bite into your own. They offer cream cheese flavors that are for those more adventurous or less traditional than I. The result? Everyone's happy!! They make breakfast all day long and all their menu is thorough, exhaustive and delicious. They have salads like tuna, chicken, etc. and other delicacies so there is something for everyone. The coffee is always fresh and delicious. I was here less than two hours before they close and the coffee was as fresh as if it was 7 AM. The staff is ALWAYS nice, friendly, helpful, efficient and happy. It's a wonderful feeling to leave with a smile on my face. It happens each time. There are a bazillion places to buy bagels but I make it a point to come to this particular establishment. Bonus! They remodeled a few years back and the place looks fabulous. Stopped on a whim, needed a quick fix and wasn't at all disappointed. 1/ They accept credit cards, no minimum. If you're like and do not carry any cash around, that's nothing but good news. 2/ Full coffee bar. Although a little confusing - coffee cups on another counter, milk in the middle, coffee in the end and back again, the coffee wasn't bad at all. 3/ The sammich - the whole reason I am writing this - was freshhhh! Got a Taylor Ham, egg and cheese with salt, pepper and ketchup on a plain roll and inhaled it. It was so good. 4/ Ample seating, clean tables. 5/ While you wait to get your food, you can snack on complimentary bagel pieces with cream cheese, such a nice idea! I just bought 2 bagels with cream cheese for $6.25. I really thought that was overpriced but I was so hungry I would have paid any price. The real problem is that my bagel tasted like it had been on the shelf for 2 days already. It was stale and hard. If your looking for freshly made warm bagels at a reasonable price don't go here. The brand of pork roll you use is beyond terrible. It tasted like hot dogs. It is not Taylor pork roll

When I walked in, they had samples of about 6 different bagels AND cream cheeses out to try! What a way to my heart. Got an egg and cheese on a wheat bagel that was pretty standard, but man! Those free samples were awesome! I could hang there all day. read more

I love that they have bagel platters available (1, 2, & 3 dozen platters) that include cream cheese, butter & jelly. Instead of just throwing them in paper bags (like I expected), they bring em in the back and arrange them in a platter w cellophane! It was appreciated and impressed me. Disgusting. Place is filthy, should be condemned. Unfortunately I had to proceed with my order, being that I was starving and I don't know of any other bagel places in the area yet. My everything bagel was about the same as a Thomas' frozen bagel, chewy and hard, bread-like. Their general setup is also confusing, along with the discombobulated self serve coffee area (I must not have been the only first timer, quite a few people were also unsure). After complaining to my friend who also lives in the area he reluctantly told me he's seen bugs in there and never went back. Cool. Next time I'll just take the trip back to bagelwhich in Verona. Makes me feel bad tho, the entire family was working there and they were super nice. read more

I decided to try this place out for lunch because they offer a "vegan" gyro, as advertised on the side of their building. So I ordered the vegan gyro platter which included falafel, rice (not sure what it's seasoned with - could very well be chicken stock or an animal byproduct) and the usual tomato, lettuce and onion. I waited about 15 minutes for my gyro, paid and left. When I opened up the carry out container I saw a creamy white sauce smothered all over the platter so I decided to give them a call & confirm whether it contained dairy. Since I follow a vegan diet that means that I do not consume any meat, fish or animal byproducts. When I called in I spoke to the gentleman I placed the order with who advised me that this platter is made to order and that the Taziki sauce is yogurt based and included w/ the meal.. Well, yogurt contains dairy which means this vegan gyro IS NOT vegan. I told him that this item on their menu is falsely advertised by them, it's NOT vegan and that I wanted my money back. He honored my request for a refund without any further questions which I appreciated. At this point I'm about 45 mins into my hour long lunch break from work and already urked by my experience. When I got back to Jersey Boys I told him that this would be a BIG issue if someone were to have an allergy to dairy. He smiled at me, told me that he understood and gave me my money back. Thankfully I'm NOT allergic to dairy and chose a vegan diet/lifestyle voluntarily for personal reasons. But please, if you're allergic to dairy or anything else ...be careful here! Because they don't seem terribly concerned with abiding by allergy and dietary related restrictions. I am not the type to cause a fuss but what was just an unpleasant experience for me could be a trip to the hospital for someone else. read more

Incredible food and even better service! My family lives in VA where good bagels don't exist, so every time we are visiting friends in NJ we have to stop here and stock up on the way home. The bagels, cream cheese selection, and breakfast sandwiches have always been amaaazing. Last time though, they messed up our order.. one bagel was supposed to have cream cheese, the other butter and they switched them. So I went back and they were awesome and quickly took care of it. Got us new bagels and even gave me a couple of their french toast donuts for the inconvenience! All of our friends and family go here and they will always have customers in us! read more

Since moving back home with my parents in Morristown, I come here every morning on my way to work. I always order either the taylor ham & cheese bagel or the bagel with lox & cream cheese. THe staff here is very friendly and if you come often, they usually remember your normal order. The prices are inexpensive and they have great coffee. They can get a little crowded though sometimes, so not a great place if in a rush. But it a hell of a lot better than Dunkin. read more

Absolutely terrible, from the service to the food, everything was terrible. The man behind the counter rolled his eyes at me when I said I wanted regular bacon, not turkey bacon. I didn't finish my breakfast nor did I seek a refund, I gave him back his "bacon", egg, and cheese and left.
