Great bagels and fast service. Always a pleasure getting bagels from Leggo My Bagel. One of stops from Panther Lake Campground.

Opened just 7 days and they've got it together! The food was so good we felt homesick for CR again. We ordered the Cena Tipica Hondureña (traditional meal). The steak was obviously marinated because the flavors of that, plus the chargrilling effect, was delicious! Especially loved those creamy refried beans they're famous for in Central America. Also ordered 2 pupusas (a favorite). We're taking home an order of churros and a piece of Tres Leches. I confess the biggest surprise was how fast the service was. As they're so new, I really expected very slow service but we did not wait more than 5 minutes! I must say that the ambiance is very much for take-out but we decided to eat in and it did not take away from the flavor. HIGHLY recommend this place if you want very authentic Central American cuisine.

For my first time visiting this new restaurant I went with the Chicken Taco Platter which is served with customer's choice of Rice and Beans. I opted for Refried Beans with White Rice which both went very well with my fully loaded Chicken Street Tacos. And with a slight addition of some of their Authentic Hot Sauces I was definitely in my happy place. At least until I finished my meal and then it was right back to reality, and the daily grind.   But that's totally cool because I can always come back and try something else off this amazingly delicious looking menu and return to my food coma happy place once more. They're knowledgeable about the many items on the menu and kept our waters and chips topped up throughout the meal. The actual food wasn't as great. I tried some barbacoa street tacos and some fried fish tacos. Everything was fresh and well cooked but lacking in flavor - each dish could be seasoned a bit more. I'm hopeful for the restaurant, and I may try it again if they try new recipes or something different to season their food.

I do feel everything would have benefitted from salt, and I wish that as a dine-in customer my burrito had not come wrapped in to-go paper. To give you a sense of the ambiance: the Spanish-speaking cashier/cook was reading a book when I walked in, and the television on the wall was blaring a Spanish-language TV show. I was one of only two customers when I went for a Saturday lunch around 1p. The other customer was also conversing in Spanish with the front of house. I appreciated that a bottled green habanero sauce was at my table, along with Cholula. It helps add to the authenticity. All that said, maybe don't come here for the tex-mex. If I came back I'd try one of the five different kinds of tacos they offered.

There are also some sides available. I always got oxtail. It's good, but a bit pricey for the amount of meat you get. Others have ordered the pepper steak before and the portions for that are great. The rice is definitely on the salty side, but is good overall. I do appreciate that the lady working there is always generous with pouring extra sauce on our rice as well. We also tried the tres leches during our last visit and would get it again. It had the perfect texture and sweetness.

I had the bistec encebollado which was excellent with arroz con gandules. The arroz con gandules were also delicious and the bistec encebollado sauce integrated with the rice to make a flavor explosion. The yuca was good although I have never been a big fan of the yuca mojo. The order of tostones was like an entire plantain which was awesome. Although the plate didn't look to appealing because it was all topped on top of each other and moved around during transit, it still tasted phenomenal overall! However, donde esta el mofongo? Either way I will be eating from this establishment again and excited to try their habichuelas!

It's a very casual, cafeteria-style spot with a semi-open kitchen, but don't let the simplicity fool you -- the food is incredible and the staff here is friendly and patient. The highlight of the experience is the small buffet that features a variety of freshly-made Latin cuisine -- including pulled pork, chicken and beef stews, and other traditional Latin entrees and sides. You can build your own plate by selecting one or more entrees and sides - which are priced accordingly. As a 'gringo' who wasn't entirely sure what everything was, I really appreciated them taking the extra time to explain all the different options and give me their honest recommendations. The counterstaff is bilingual and were pretty patient with my elementary school level Spanish vocabulary and grammar. I ended up going with the pulled pork platter with two sides ($7) and it was terrific -- the perfectly seasoned and tender pork, black beans and rice, and macaroni salad were delicious and very filling. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the portions are very generous for the price. If you're looking for authentic, home-style Latino food in a laid-back setting, this is the spot! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Sazon Latino is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Sazon Latino offers free off-street parking in a small lot behind the restaurant and there's plenty of free on-street parking on Main Street.
