The only down side is that manager is always yelling at the employees and has an attitude. It's not how you do business bud. It's nice to watch the preparation of the bowls and platters being made. Enough to share; meats laid on thick and crisp fresh vegetables. Cheeseburger Philly, Chicken Philly, Classic Philly, cheese fries, sweet tea lemonade and sweet corn nuggets. Imagine creamed corn, battered and fried. Delish. Everything was really good. Hubby said we are returning soon. Warning: the theme of this restaurant is to overload and not overcharge. There is NO need to ask for extra anything. The ambiance of this restaurant is really nice. They have a wide cooler in the front of the restaurant that has a variety of drinks to choose from. I love how the place is decorated. You order at the front, and they call you up when your order is ready. It is a self-service restaurant. The staff were nice and friendly. The food was good! I ordered the chopped cheese, and I really enjoyed it. Be warned that they put tomatoes on the sandwich event though it is not mentioned on the menu or by the staff. I also got the parmesan garlic wings. They were good, but they are not breaded. Lastly, I got the mozzarella sticks. They were good as well. Overall, the food was good and worth returning for. My only complaint is that the food was not hot. It was warm, but it didn't seem like it was freshly made but more so precooked, kept warm, and served to us. One star for unacceptable management and billing practices. I was double charged over a month ago and have provided clear bank proof of the error. Instead of a refund, the manager is now asking for a 'ticket number' from a month ago as a requirement for help. Modern POS systems can easily look up a transaction by the date and information I have provided multiple times. It's clear I'm being given the runaround for a mistake the restaurant made. I hope ownership takes this seriously and resolves this theft immediately. read more

Had the opportunity to drop by here twice recently, once for lunch and the other for dinner. The lunch order there was only a couple of folks there but the chicken tenders or whatever they throw into the sandwich and the fries seemed a bit tough, which made us think that this was prepared a while ago. For the dinner, came by and avoided the chicken completely and stuck only to the lamb and Philly and this was mutch better. Also not sure why every order is treated as takeaway especially when you have tables in the restaurant. I got here at 1:07AM on 9/29/2025 and they told me the place was closed since 1AM even though Apple Maps said the place closed at 2AM. I drove from Rockford, IL to here to try the food as a first timer. I spoke with an employee at the door and explained that and he said that they typically close the kitchen at 1:30 but they decided to close the kitchen at 1AM today. The employee stated he would go ask someone in the back if they would except 1 more person and he went to the back and another guy came from around the corner waving at his neck indicating they won't be accepting me inside. Just tried this local NYC Halal Eats that opened up recently. I'm still on the fence of whether I'll go back or not, but there's a lot of good and some bad with this place. I'll get the good out of the way first. The marketing and overall bombastic-need of this place is amazing. Everything is big, bold, neon, black, and red. They stay true to their New York roots. The food, or at least the important, main part of the meal is also good. I had a chicken gyro and the chicken was flavorful and fresh, although not distinctly different in seasoning from other halal or middle eastern establishments. The service was also quite attentive for what is essentially a fast-food chain. Polite and courteous, although they weren't particularly busy today to see how the place functions under some stress. Now for the bad. Let's start with the wait time. Despite not being busy, I still ended up waiting quite some time for my order, although at least they got mine out as soon as it was ready instead of having me wait so that the people who ordered before me got their orders first, even though they had ordered more and it would take longer to prepare their orders. My fries and cheese sticks were also barely room temperature when I got my order and I think that was the biggest reason for me giving them 3 stars. They also were out of hummus & pita which is something that you would think a middle eastern place would overstock as it's a pretty popular side. Furthermore, I think they go a little too hard on the New York street food vibe, with just how much sauce is added to the gyro. I'm not counting this against them since I could have just ordered it with easy sauce, but I wanted to see how they normally serve it, seeing as it was my first time here. Price wise, I think it's a little expensive for how much you get. The nearby area is full of middle eastern restaurants and just off the top of my head I can think of two where you get more bang for your buck. I paid almost $30 for a chicken gyro with a small serving of fries, a 6 piece mozzarella sticks and 1 can of soda. The gyro itself at least was quite large and packed to brim with chicken and veggies. "BE AWARE this place are THIEVES"!!! Placed an order through their online ordering site at around 3pm on a Tuesday..mind you I live far just to get there to the location and to be told by one of those useless teenage employees that my order was not received because their system was not working I was so confused. Their site let me placed my order just fine I even got charged I was told by one of the so many useless Teens they have in there acting like managers who can't seem to even give you a right answer or fix the issue that they couldn't make my order because every order that was placed online was not received and that those charges will go back to my account.. Because when I asked the "Teens" that their online ordering site said to contact the store and only the store for any issues/refund all I got as an answer was I don't know call door dash why would I call door dash when the site clearly says to call the restaurant with their direct number on the site for any issues!!! I got there first day they opened around 7pm , parking is usually bad in that area. Parked right in front of the business no one was really there. Ordered 2 loaded philly sandwiches and 2 drinks. First bite was this is really different. Second bite what is it. I see they chicken, fries , and steak in there. It was the bread. It got really packed after I sat down to eat. The owners and there families came by and said hello. And asked how everything was. I said this sandwich is really good. Mention the bread. The owner tells me it was freshly made in house. He said it was the reason he opened the franchise restaurant. Im not gonna go on too much. They gave me a slice of there nyc pizza with pepperoni (halal) it was really close to nyc. Although the place is nice & very well fitting, the food was not as great or well seasoned/cooked as people made it out to seem. My husband is currently suffering from some sort of food poisoning as that meal from NYC Eats was the only meal he had yesterday. Didnt like a single thing about my experience here. Not a thing. I ordered a lamb gyro and cheese sticks. I specifically mentioned that I don't like BBQ sauce but they put it on anyway. Not only was it the most flavorless lamb I've ever eaten, it wasn't even served hot. More like 2 degrees above room temperature. It was stone cold after 2 bites. It all seemed so pre-packaged, like they just pulled it out of a fridge and handed it to me. Even the cheese sticks were mid. No real flavor and also seemed pre-made. It was such a a McDonalds experience that I'm never coming back. As for ambiance, there isn't any. Front and back walls completely glassed means I got to eat staring at parked cars and Harlem traffic. Six overly gigantic TV screens blasting the same 3 clips of food preparation did nothing to minimize the cheap feel of the place, and the insanely loud megaphone screaming "NUMBER 37 COME GET YOUR FOOD!" when 1 person's unamplified voice would have sufficed made it particularly unpleasant. 10/10 would NOT recommend. read more
