I finally made into this place a few times over the past few weeks after a couple of years of wondering what all I might find here. It is a great little market with attached restaurant. You can get your bread, hummus ingredients, halal meats and many other Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisine ingredients. They usually have a big display of baklava by the cash register that gets me every time. The staff is helpful and very friendly. This will be my place to pick up a quick lunch or ingredients to explore the regions cuisine.

I haven't seen another place like this in Memphis. This is a halal (butcher that slaughters the animal in the 'humane' manner that corresponds with Islamic law))/Mediterranean restaurant/Arabic food market. And the owner does a good job of providing all of the basics and more for cooking, including lemon juice, tomato sauce, Sultan olive oil, dates, and more. Also sold is a nice selection of Mediterranean food, including shawarma, falafel, and hummus.

As is usually the case, plenty of hate on here from folks expecting fine dining. If you come here expecting an exquisite atmosphere, then you deserve your disappointment. It's a very simple diner, but clean with quick friendly service and fast food prep. I started with the hummus and pine nuts. Outstanding. The pita bread was fresh and hot. My entrée was the #32 combo which includes a salad, kafta, chicken, beef shish tauof, and rice. All of these were fresh and tasty. I will certainly return. If you're a Med foodie then I recommend you do the same.

Over all- they gave a good amount of food. The flavors were good, however, I did add salt and pepper. I ordered falafel to start- it was almost more of a dumpling than what I'm used to, but good, cheap and came out quickly. For dinner I ordered Shawerma combo (chicken & beef)entree and the Combination entree (shish kabob, kifta & shish taouk). To finish, I had the Arabic coffee (similar to an espresso shot...tiny little cup, very srong with a hint of cardamom I believe) If I'm ever back in Memphis for more than a day, I would consider coming back to this restaurant.

Food is great! Here at Jerusalem we ordered the hummus, baba ganoush, lentil soup, and a salad. The price is very nice and affordable and the food was really delicious. The bread that came with the hummus and baba ganoush was very fresh and soft and you could tell that they make it there which was pretty awesome. Overall it's a very nice place to eat at and there are no complaints here.

Wonderful place to dine. It is not a site for the pretentious but for those open to culutre. I tried the peta with humus and the falafel wonderful. I also had the meat trio, also incredible. The baklava was fantastic. It gets 5 stars on fresh taste, phenomenal service, and original culture. If you want a taste of the Middle East, try this fantastic restaurant. Also, I visited the store to the side and bought some Yogurt drink, Ahmad London Tea from Sri Lanka and Hillwa o Morra Coffee from Jordan.

This place makes all good to order so if you are in a big rush; this isn't your place. However, great things come to those who wait.

Yall, this place is really good! My first visit and I told the guy I was thinking about the chicken…read moreshawarma or the gyro, he said the chicken shawarma so I went with that. And it was definitely the right choice for me. Filled with chicken, garlic, lettuce, pickles and it was yummy goodness. I ordered a side of fries, they weren't anything special, but they were made right as I ordered. My friend ordered the falafel sandwich and the Fattoosh side salad. The salad is pretty big and can be shared and the Lebanese dressing was light and refreshing. She enjoyed her sandwich. Everything was prepared to order and made right in front of you. You can order to go or eat in. Service was quick and the place got busy quick. They also serve breakfast, but I didn't see a menu for that. If you haven't visited please do! The place isn't huge, you seat yourself, we paid at the end of our meal. Will definitely return

You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I will definitely be back for a meal or takeout.

My sis and I are fans of falafel. The plate came with a bit of hummus but we ordered more separately and are so glad we did! The hummus tasted so good we couldn't stop eating it! They put a little sumac in it and the tweak in the taste really grabbed all of us. Mom liked the falafel so much she wanted to understand what all was in it! We decided to try the fish fahsah and wow were we glad we did! We all agreed this is a must have on the menu for us, though we also want to try the lam version. It had such an incredible combination of flavors! We always like the kabobs and went for the chicken again. The plate includes chicken, rice, pickled vegetables and yogurt. We ordered to go, service as always was great.

Lots of options for parking and you can do a little shopping if you need any of the other shops in the complex! Service is great, the staff was very friendly. I was offered complimentary hot tea upon arrival and even got complimentary lamb broth soup and a small (but delicious!) salad with cucumber, lettuce, tomato with my entree. My first time there I ordered the half grilled chicken plate and hummus. The hummus arrived first and was beautifully plated and came with a huge piece of homemade and FRESH bread. Hummus was delicious and the bread was warm and cozy. The half chicken plate came out and let me tell you, I ate that food for the next three days. It was just little ol' me with a giant half chicken, probably a pint of rice, and a salad of veggies. It was soooooooo good. I love taking a bite of hummus with some rice and some chicken. It makes my heart happy. The next time I went I ordered the chicken kabob plate to try to scale it down. The kabob plate didn't come with the soup and salad, but that was okay because it was still a ton of food! Ten pieces of grilled chicken, a huge serving of rice, and some veggies on the side. I can't wait to eat it for the next few days. This place is easy, right off Perkins exit of the 40, lots of parking, and you can sit by yourself and have a nice long lunch. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing place on the inside, but when the food tastes like it does it doesn't even matter. Bonus it's right next to a cozy Yemeni coffee shop and a Mediterranean grocery store.

Came back to table and just stood there for 5-10 seconds... I'm waiting for her to ask "What would you like to drink"? And she doesn't, so I just tell her. We order falafel hummus platter, tastes great. Tea, great. I ordered lamb shish kabob. Fiancé asks for 3 chicken kabobs, no rice or veggies. Not sure if that is explicitly on the menu. Server double checked with me before submitting order, "lamb shish kabob"? I said yes. Also asked for a water. She forgot about it, and went to sit down at hostess stand. Fiancé had to get up & go ask her for it. They bring out our food, but mine is chicken, just like my fiancé's. Looks exactly the same, but with rice & veggies + 2 kabobs instead of 3. Server comes to check on us, I ask her if my plate is chicken or lamb. She says it's lamb.......... I've never seen lamb look bright like that. Once again, it looked exactly like my fiancé's chicken. So I said ok, and took a bite. Yep, it's chicken. I was pretty disappointed, I had actually brought my fiancé there because I wanted lamb shish kabobs. When she came to check on us again, my fiancé had to ask for a drink refill, which prompted her to refill my tea. I then told her my plate was definitely chicken, & I would like her to take it back. She looked confused & repeated "Take it back......?" So I confirmed & clarified, "Yes, I don't want that. You can just take it back & take it off the bill, because it's chicken, and I ordered lamb. I'm sorry, I hate to be that person." She said something about the cook having different types of meats in the kitchen and blah blah blah idk. I think she put the order in wrong. Wasn't really apologetic & didn't ask if I wanted the lamb still or not, or anything else. We were ready to go. Couldn't find her, finally she came back, I asked for check, somehow my fiancé's 3 chicken kabobs were $30. That doesn't sound right to me. But like I said, I don't think that's explicitly on the menu, so I think they charged what they wanted to makeup for my plate being refunded. Will definitely not be back unfortunately. Let me also add the first 5-10 mins we were there, 2 others tables with 2 people each. After that, we were the only table. Also, it's dead quiet. No music.
