When the tow truck arrived we felt relieved. The tow truck driver Eric was wonderful. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and insightful to what our needs were. We were on a short getaway and now had to get our car towed back to Virginia Beach, plus get some guidance on getting a rent a car in Nags Head to complete our vacation plans. Eric was really instrumental in getting us a vehicle before he headed to Virginia Beach with our vehicle. Seto Towing and Eric were the BEST!

Unlawful Towing of Disabled Veteran's Vehicle…read more My husband, a disabled veteran with ADA-compliant disabled tags, was legally parked in a clearly marked handicap space in the parking lot outside Bluewater Seafood Market. There were no signs stating the parking lot was for "customers only" or that towing would be enforced. Despite this, Seto Towing was called and towed his truck. Under federal ADA law, it is illegal to tow a properly parked vehicle with disabled plates or placards--and as a towing company, Seto should absolutely know that. We were forced to pay $275 to retrieve the vehicle and another $25 for transportation to their facility, totaling $300 for something that never should have happened. This was not only wrong--it was discriminatory. We have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and are asking for full reimbursement. I urge others to be cautious--if Seto Towing is involved, even your rights as a disabled driver may not be protected. Attached are photos of the county laws. None of them were met. No 24x24 sign, no call to the police department, all tags were on vehicle properly marked. 10000% illegal! Tried to speak with the lady at the front desk about these laws for a refund and she refused to have an adult conversation.

I can't say enough good things about Lantz's Towing. I found myself stuck deep in the mud late at…read morenight, and after trying to get help through my insurance company, the first towing service couldn't even come close to getting me out. They didn't come with the right equipment for the job and eventually gave up, so I was still stranded, frustrated, and pretty much at a loss. I call my insurance company back and they sent Lantz's towing to the rescue, I gave them the same information I gave the last towing company. They showed up quickly, even though it was pretty late and immediately went to work with the proper equipment, including a winch on their tow truck. The driver was professional, efficient, and had a calm confidence that made me feel like I was in good hands. I jokingly told him that he had probrably seen everything, but this situation had to rank in the top 100 for difficulty. His response? Not even close. He said it was actually top 5 when it came to difficulty and weird positions! It was clear this company knows their stuff. He didn't hesitate, and within 15 or 20 minutes, I was out of my stuck position in the mud and was able to park my car. My family has had a house at the north end of Carova beach for almost thirty-five years. In that…read moretime, I've never, ever needed a tow-truck. I've never been stuck and not been able to finagle my way out of it. It was a radiator hose that finally got me. I got two miles down on the beach before steam came gushing out from underneath the hood and I was dead in the water, no pun intended. The tide was coming in so I wanted to get out of there as quick as I could. So I put in the call. The guys were out there in about 45 minutes, had my car tied up and towed me off the beach to their place just north of what I will always call Winks. Chase and Jeff don't have a shop, but he looked under my hood and told me they could temporarily fix it by by-passing the heater core. I never asked about money. I knew how infamous the prices were for towing on the beach, but I didn't have any other option. The next day Jeff was out beside his refurbished ambulance cum garage, working on the car. He was going to McGyver the heck out of it- metal pipes in hand, trying to figure out how to get these different sized hoses connected. He told a joke a la Jeff Foxworthy and had a Budweiser can that was actually a promotional bit: the word WATER was emblazoned in blue upon the side. Over thirty years of fixing people as a paramedic and cars as a mechanic. I asked which one was harder and he said, "I treat them both the same: I try to do no harm." I went to our beach house for a couple of days with my family, (my brother in law has much better luck with radiator hoses) and was able to pick the car up on a rainy Sunday from his house on the beach. I gave him call, hopped in the car, drove back to beach house and sat down as I called him up to settle the bill. I'm glad I sat down because the whole fiasco cost me close to a thousand dollars, but there's no other choice really. And considering how stressful something like this can be- breaking down on the beach with the tide coming in and no shop for twenty five miles is nuts- Chase and Jeff made it feel as if it was just another day. Shit happens, as they say. That's probably worth a couple of hundred dollars alone.
