Flavor is there but the quality is poor. All the sandwiches only had 1 egg and 1 piece of meat. I think I speak for most consumers when I say we want a sandwich that is filling. When compared to other bagel shops, this one does not perform close enough to make me want to come back. Charge an extra dollar and put more meat on them things! Being anything but that sour face would be an improvement Is she the same chick garnering the 1 star reviews? The person who took the order could care less. Ordered to eat in bagel with jelly and butter and a bagel w cream cheese and coffee. And a roast beef to go. The bagel with jelly was brought to table about ten minutes later the bagel w cream cheese no coffee. Asked about the coffee and told working on it. Was told had no roast beef. How do you run out of roast beef. Ordered tuna. Finally coffee came. The cream cheese was not what would expect from a bagel place. I was on my way to work on Friday 21 of Feb, I tried calling ahead to place a dozen bagel order, it was about 4:45 am, no answer, I waited until 4:50 and tried again, no answer, So as I drove up I saw the lights on a women at the counter, she saw me pull up as my headlights were Illuminating my arrival, I got out of the car walked up and the door was locked it was 4:58 the sign say open 5:00 she did not even look up at me, and really 2 minutes early and she would not open the door, so I left as I approached the thruway I called back about 5:10 and on the first ring she picked up, this is just wrong I was there and ready to get a order and for her to not even address me because of 2 minutes, this is not the kind of employee I would want working for me, Have a nice day Steve read more

This gets 2 stars only bec the young white guy who took my order, he was polite engaging and professional and seemed to be having a decent day. The other women who made my smoothie seemed to have just awakened. Got up this morning graving a NY bagel with nova lox and cream cheese. We are in Sloatsburgh visiting our daughter so I googled bagels near me this one popped up right down the road. I go. Pulled up the curb appeal or what curb appeal there is none, but that's ok. I have been coming here for a little while. Someone who is new there - seems to not give hoot at all. She seems bothered to even be there.. She never puts any of the items in a bag. I saw a police officer getting food - He asked for a bag and the same new lady put the bag on the counter for him to fill it. Then someone orders a bread stick and a part of it falls off. The lady goes to get a replacement and the owner says - its only a small piece you don't care right? The guy said he didn't care... I highly doubt that he didn't care - I am sure he was just saying ok to be polite. Maybe he should get a 2% discount.. Its a small amount - Your don't care right?? Just give him the 2% off. Since 2% of the bagel is on the floor. That was just a crazy scenario on top of 2 more scenarios. No more stopping there. read more

The Asiago cheese bagel warmed up with cream Cheese was soo delish! Hubby has the salted Carmel pastry and he enjoyed it. The lemon pot was just ok. Looks like a run down old convenience store with a cafe. Surprisingly the food is pretty decent, as well as the prices. They serve a wide variety of sandwiches and bagel sandwiches. We were a larger group and our food came out all at once decently quick! It also seems to be a local favorite for some reason. The thing that got to me was the lack of friendliness of staff and cleanliness and sanitation practices. When we walked in, we weren't greeted and the girl behind the counter gave us a look almost as if we were a major inconvenience to her for being there. Very off-putting and made us feel very awkward and not want to be there. At the end of our visit we said the food was good and she just gave us a half smile and said nothing. She was very rude. The MAJOR issue I had with this place is NONE of the staff wash their hands. They put a glove on one hand to make your food yet still handle money transactions and take orders and touch the pens, etc. with the gloves on. Not clean at all and very unsettling. I saw one staff member handle the deli meats with her bare hand which she had used to handle a previous money transaction. While leaving we also witnessed one of the workers eating where the food was prepped. This place is just gross. Skip it. I wish I could give 1.5 stars just because the food didn't taste bad. read more

Its really busy in the morning , there really short staffed only like three people . The food is really good and its for a really good reasonable price as well . I've been coming here for years. I'm not sure if what they're doing today is new or if I never paid enough attention in the past. During my recent and most likely last visit, I experienced a horror I hope never happens again. I'll set the tone with a simple expectation I have when ordering food. Call me crazy, but I expect the establishment and people handling my food to keep it clean and wash their hands. I walk in and the only lady working is cleaning the floor with an old dirty broom. She walks behind the counter without washing her hands BUT she puts gloves on. OK. She takes my order and starts making 3 egg sandwiches. Another patron enters and pays for his order in cash. Tons of change and some bills. Mind you, she handles the transaction wearing the same gloves she was wearing to make my breakfast Sammy's. So I watch her walk back to the grill and she never changes her gloves. She finishes making the sandwiches and I politely notify her of the situation. She asks if I want new sandwiches. Of course I do. This is the kicker!!!! She then says she ALWAYS wears the same gloves she handles money with and only changes them at the request of the customer. Are you kidding me???? This is food service 101. I was beyond disgusted. Someday an undercover food sanitation worker is going to walk in and this place is going to be shut down. read more

It was so gross I probably should have stopped them when making it be the older woman was counting money an placing it on the cutting board where my friends bagel was cut. They had no business what so ever for lunch. That should have tipped me off. The just upgraded and move into a better building but it was gross I didn't even eat it. I'm not one to complain, when I tried to call to speak with the owner he wasnt there and the rude girl who works there told me you might be able to catch him tomorrow. This is a great place for bagels, coffee, deli. I also have worked here and the owner &manager are crazy about cleanliness, good food, low prices and keeping the customers happy. They are very hard workers and expect their employees to follow suit. They don't tolerate slacking off, and they should not have to. The place is always busy and sometimes you have to wait because everything is prepared to order, fresh, unless you are coming in for coffee and bagels and then the staff have you in and out in a flash.
