Pretty overpriced, i got a small* coffee and a bacon, egg, cheese sandwich and it cost over $10, i dont remember the exact change, plus it took over 10 minutes for my sandwich to come out when there was only one other person ordering. Man, this is why I love traveling so much! We are in NJ/NY this weekend and I have been anticipating the coffee and bagels. Despite our best efforts in NC, it just isn't the same. As luck would have it, right next door to our motel was The Bagel Tree. Upon entering, you are immediately hit with the overwhelming aromas of steaming bagels and really good coffee. If you weren't that hungry or thirsty before, you are now. There is a plethora of bagels to choose from ("Would you say I have a plethora of bagels?" "Oh yes El Guapo, you have a plethora"...haha, damn that was a good movie...) I decided to go for the tried and true bedrock of the bagel world, an Everything Bagel. A sausage egg and cheese everything bagel sandwich to be more precise. Absolutely delicious. Couldn't be any more of what I wanted. Bagel just completely crusted with toppings! And using whatever North Eastern magic, just about every speck of them stays on the bagel while you eat it! Utterly fascinating and enjoyable. Sausage was probably the same pre-made, frozen disc every place uses, eggs were actually real and cooked on a flat top, the cheese was some non-descript version of Kraft singles that was all melty and gooey - again, exactly everything you could want out of a bagel sandwich. The coffee was Lacas brand. Never heard of it before now, but it was really good. I am, admittedly, a bit of a coffee snob. I have the good fortune to have spent quite a bit of time in Europe and I have been to Central & South America a dozen times, so I feel like I have enough worldly coffee experience to express an educated opinion: Lacas Coffee, pretty darn good. And it's self serve at The Bagel Tree, so you can personalize it however you want! Awesome The service was fine. I'm a tourist, not a regular, so I can't say whether or not it's improved or declined. There were about 8 dudes from a tree service company already in the store when I rolled in, and it took less than 6min to order, get my coffee and then walk out with my bagel. I'm not complaining. I'm really looking forward to trying other bagel shops in the area, especially ones in NY, but if I was only able to go to The Bagel Tree this trip, I wouldn't be disappointed at all. Bagels are okay had veggie cream cheese with order.Use to go to G and A bagels in Butler has better selection and size and freshness of the bagels.All bagel stores are a bit different.I understand if you come later things are wiped out.Will try again and come earlier for bagels.They have deli foods too.and do catering. Ordered two mini bagels on Sunday at 11:30, one with butter and one with sausage and cheese. Paid at time of ordering and still didn't have them after 25 minutes. I ordered a sandwich. Italian hero. Genoa salami, hard salami, hot cappicola, ham, provolone, lettuce tomato, oil and vinegar, onions on a 10 inch roll. For $8.50. I bring the sandwich home. I take a bite. It seems a little lame. I opened up the sandwich. The only thing that is on my sandwich. Hot cappicola, salami and provolone, lettuce tomato. Where are the rest of the cold cuts. ?!?!? I make a phone call. Explain to the guy my sandwich was made wrong. He says no, that's the way we make the sandwiches. I'm like that's like false advertisement. That's just the way we make our sandwiches. If I knew I was not getting the rest of those ingredients on the sandwich I would've ordered something else! They make a pretty good bagel I will say, I typically go with the multigrain or whole wheat. they also have other cool varieties like pepperoni, jalapeño cheddar, rainbow, etc. they also make their own bagel chips that are very good and great to snack on. Staff doesn't have too much personality but they are usually pretty darn busy when I go. I'd give it 3.5 stars. If they can smile and say good morning more often, they'd be at 4 read more

Seriously I will never get another breakfast sandwich here again. They are very skimpy with the egg and bacon. I got egg and bacon on a roll. The edge didn't even come to the edges of the bread. And it was literally 3 pieces of bacon. I think they could do better and still make profit... Sheesh. Other local places do much better. This place had some growing pains for sure but like a cat landed on their feet. Solid cup of coffee, actually prefer it over the dunkin across the street. Bagels are pretty good as are the breakfast sandwiches. Sausage isnt the best so if you're looking for meat on your sandwich I suggest bacon or taylor ham. The Taylor ham they use has a great flavor, represents Jersey well. Alil fyi, sandwiches come with scrambled eggs, so if you like fried like myself, gotta specify. Solid drink selection in cooler cases. Staff is personable and facility is clean. Goto breakfast stop when headin over that way. read more

Giving one star (would give zero if possible) only because their bagels are somewhat decent. The service here is horrible. The prices are too high. We have gone here multiple times, and it just keeps getting worse. There's no value for the food, paying more then anything in the area for small portions and below average quality. Go to Hamburg bagels or the bakery across the street instead. Both are 4-5 star places. read more

Horrible customer service!! We have been going here since the store opened and frequent the bagel store weekly. Today, my husband orders a Taylor ham sandwich with JUST ketchup. Never said to put cheese on it - I am lactose intolerant and cannot have dairy. He asks if there is cheese on the sandwich and is told YES because he never said DON'T put cheese on it. He comes home and there is still cheese on my sandwich. Now he had to drive back to get the correct sandwich. Talk about lacking customer service. We will NOT be going back here again. Recently I had asked them to cater my daughters graduation party and I have to say that they were absolutely wonderful. From helping me make sure I had enough food based on the # of people, pricing and overall the taste of the food. I have never been so satisfied with their friendly service. Coming from NJ deli style places have always been at a literal stones throw distance. When I was younger I didn't think differently of which establishment I chose to go to I figured " I am in the mood for sandwich and fresh made macaroni salad let's go to the closest one" but as I got older I realized there are things that set some restaurants apart from others a lot of it has to do with the fact of how engaging and hospitable the staff is. It's real people making real food without any bells and whistle's that realistically just seem to get in the way when I order something it comes out the same way every time and I can attest to that because I have been going to the bagel tree for about as long as the company has been around. What it comes down to is the fact that I have a deli within walking distance of my house but I still choose to get up get my car and drive to get food here instead. read more
